- Mario kart 8 deluxe is turning 4 years old in April and today I'm looking to the future and seeing what the next Mario kart game could look like, looking at all the features that could hopefully come back and thinking about new features that could be added, Let's see what Mario Kart 9 could look like

A good idea would be when choosing the character you can not only change the color of that characters but also the forms they appear in, like for koopa troopa: Parido, red/green Koopa Troopa, red/green Koopa Paratroopa, Commander Koopa, and so on.
Also would be could to add characters from the Paper Mario Series and more characters from Mario&Luigi Series (Partners in Time, Bowsers Inside Story & Bowser Jr.'s Journey, Dream Team, Paper Jam, Superstar Saga & Bowser's Minion's)

Mirror Mode and reverse could have a menu option letting you pick any cc in the game to play on
Cool idea. So everyone can play those two modes, from those, who play the game the first time to those who play it a lot and like to drive fast.

That part at 3:19 honestly hurt because Duck Hunt is one of my best characters
21:49 Boss mode in DS looked really cool. I remember in the Megarace 3 demo there was a mission you drived a track inside an alien spider hive. You had to get to the bottom before the time runned out.
If you made it to the end, the time stopped and you landed in a giant arena and had too fight the huge alien spider queen.
Really funn lvl.
The other lvls I think was boring since there was no boss battle at the end.
These ideas are very unique but very good

6:48 i think it should be an option to take off the helmet because it makes us look kinda stupid
Like in MK7 in which the Mii didn't have a racing suit. There they didn't look stupid at all. So it would be cool to choose between normal clothing and racing suit with or without helmet.
Personally speaking, these are really nice ideas, the only change I would think about is cutting Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina, mainly because they don't really have any significance to the Mario universe, unlike the other babies, and were more or less created just to take up slots in their respective debut games.
As for who to replace them with... there's a lot of ideas. Similar to Donkey Kong, you could give Wario some more love by adding characters like Mona and Jimmy T, you could go for some nostalgic throwback villains like Wart and Tatanga, or, if Nintendo were actually gutsy enough to approach Square for Mario Kart, Geno and Mallow (I can only dream).
That's what my biggest issue has become with the rosters of Mario spinoffs lately; they don't pull from all corners of the Mario universe, and they tend to be overflowing with pure filler they just make up last minute before release.

Imagine Mario kart 9 has the Mario kart tour skins as skins for their characters
I’ve thought about a mk9 roster a lot for like months lol, and my first thought was drop down box are a must, but I also put babies in a drop down boxes, it’s a simple must
as much as I want Wiggler and goomba and any other non-anthropomorphic (no arms and legs) characters probably won’t be coming into the new game because of Bikes, there’s literally no way to put Wiggler on a bike which I think is why he wasn’t included in mk8 but if Nintendo could find a way to do it then they’d be back. For characters without hands they probaly wont be a racer (execpt maybe a stack of goombas)
And one more thing about characters, I personally either want to play non- Mario fully or Mario fully so there should be an option to choose your other racers also meaning you could race with all the coloured yoshis
They could find a way for characters without hands. King Boo can also drive a kart even that he doesn't have legs, so how does he push the pedals? If King Boo can drive without legs then a goomba or cappy can also drive, even when they have no hands and (in cappy's case) legs.
we don’t need legs because characters can still balance on a seat and most go/karts and bikes have handle steering, and also on bikes steering looks really weird without arms
@@GeorgeJonnie Yes, it may look weird but it could work. In Mario Party Goomba can also do a lot of things you normally would need hands, for example a watershooter.
They need to add that track from gameboy that goes from day to sunset.🌄🌅

I like that you included Dixie Kong, Pom Pom, and the broodals. I would say though that the koopalings should get their own spot because they are different characters, same with the broodals. But other than that I agree with the drop down.
They should make the drop down similar to smash bros. Then you could choose between 2-8 different versions of the character or group. That would be cool

Metal mushroom-you turn silver and are not only amune to basically everything for 20 seconds but can squish other people like the mega mushroom so it's better even though I want the mega mushroom to return
Giant banana-it will now split into 4 bananas instead of 3 if you get hit or of you hit it with an item

Giga bobomb-you will throw it backwards now and it can bounce around and can explode obviously

Tanooki leaf(battle mode exclusive)
Triple bobomb-you will throw them in front or behind you one at a time
Black and Triple black shells- it will be similar to a bobomb because when you hit a player in front or behind you it will explode.
Swooper-it will steal 5 coins if your in front of the opponent
Mini mushroom-you will throw it behind or in front of you and I an opponent gets hit by one they will shrink allowing other players to easily squish you.

Magnet
Double cherry-you'll clone yourself and your clone is a CPU and if it gets hit by a certain item, it will dissappear.
Ink gun-if it hits an opponent they will slow down
Blue shell
Spiny-once you try jumping over it or whatever you will still get hit by one except you will lose 5 coins instead of the usual 3.
Star
Items I don't want returning:
Fake item box-now I know a lot of people want it back but in my opinion I dont because it won't block any items at all and it is forgettable.
Super horn-the mushrooms could already destroy the blue shell if you press the button at the perfect time so I don't see why it should return.
Coin-next
Thunder cloud-overhated item, Nuff said
Fire balls-the fire balls are useless now because the fire flower took their spot and you can spam it fast so yeah
Pow block-once again next
Blooper-it is just annoying.
Feather-this item is now useless because gliding took it over

There needs to be a sonic crossover with like sonic tails and eggman i would love knuckles but that would be a lot and sonic and tails are more memorable
To be honest Mario kart 9 Should bring back Bowser shell and Coin box I guess some people might not want that back but Mario kart should have a shop where you can buy stuff and you can use the coin boxes which can help you get more coins to buy stuff and collect coins in races
I've had an interesting idea for Mario Kart in which each character gets a custom skill tree so players can actually use their coins to upgrade a characters skill tree allowing for each character to have interesting perks. For instance Mario could be upgraded to have a higher chance of getting Stars from item boxes or he could be upgraded to have a chance of getting a unique item only he can use.
I've also thought that a game could focus on making variants of tracks with slight variations and track layouts and themes. Maybe one stage has a variant at night and one in the day. Plus, there could b a unique gimmick that allows for someone to change a track to one of it's variants during a race.
The idea is creative but it will make online unfair, and with different characters having perks and special moves, takes away the point of a larger character roster as other characters, will be substantially better than the others, which, is where mario kart wii went wrong, as funky kong was miles above the rest of the roster making for a not so enjoyable experience when online, and the whole fanbase used funky kong. The idea is cool but thinking about it in the long run the reason why mario kart tour was so dissapointing was purely for the fact the roster was so big and the unbalanced power of characters made for a lack luster experience. As much as we could all agree a new edperience in the game other than new maps would be cool, we need to think about item spam, because with you being able to get 2 item slots instead of 1, means the better the characters item chance, the less likely you are to win, as the cpu already have a boost of item buffering, but with special move sets it would completely hammer 1st place, and make for a frustrating experience when on higher cc where the difficulty is increased.
@@jaylp7139 Yeah good points but I always thought that they could have a casual and competitive option in which competitive would remove all the extra upgrades and stuff and just have everyone be more fairly balanced. That way people who want a more chaotic and whacky race can play casual and those who don't have can just play classic mario kart.

All in all I think Mariokart 8 Delux is pretty perfect.
Only thing I would like is easier to find players in custom games in online multiplayer. So far i'v gotten to play the no items mode. But the other modes I never find players.
I agree with basically all of your ideas but I would have added paratroopa as a skin for koopa troopa and captain falcon as a playable character.
Also I would have given some skins their own special items like with the hammer bros skins and with the mario skins.
And also I would have brought frenzies back for single rider mode (maybe have like how many item slots you want in a race)

💥 Oh, and the Bomb need to give a flash. Especially when you are not looking. Just like in Wipeout. Wipeout pure, Pulse, HD, Fury and Omega Collection have this. Don't know the older games have that effect.
Its really cool. Like cool guys don't look at explotions vibe. I guess they didn't add it becouse maybe some would get epilepsy. But the flash isn't that strong in wipeout.

Add the regular Mii’s with amiibo costumes, and then one along the lines of mii outfit B from MK Wii
Add Samus and Captain falcon
Lastly Spike and Charge n Chuck, both with a spike bar special item, it’s slow but covers a large area

Speaking of that. 🍌Would be cool if they add a banana cart. Love the banana cart in the two first Sonic sega racing games. Especially Transformed. And also the real world banana car that looks like an actual banana on wheels is also a good example!
And my favorite, a really tall funny cart. Could be a tall Hospital bed.
Would be as tall as the shoe with monster truck wheels. Maybe even a bit taller.
And I use bowser to appear even taller and funnier. But I wish there was an other character that was as tall as bowser. The hair of that Coopa Kid does not count. My suggestion Would be a huge clown or other funny looking character.

I love the concept but i disagree with special power moves as this would majorly effect the character roster as it wouldnt be based on your favourite character but the character with the best spevial move acting like mario kart wii and everyone using funky kong
