Franscis said it best earlier in this interview. why can't he have both money fights in jones and fury. right now is the best time to fight either fighter. I'd rather see him fight jones first before he potentially loses to a professional boxer in fury. think about it. his odds winning against jones while being able to use his entire skill set is far better than a small subset to almost none of those mma rules against a trained heavyweight legend. it's more than money Franscis is fighting for. and you have to be a fighter yourself to understand this dynamic. thinking from a fans point of view is useless when trying to actually understand a fighter.

Fury vs Ngannou, pay the man for his skill! Fury also knows how much Ngannou is a worthy fighter. Both will get money, but Ngannou will get his pay due regardless of the result. For Ngannou it's not only about the fighting record, he is that kid who started in the mines and went on to earn his freedom through working really hard to make a name for himself. Bellator and one championship is where the money is at for mma fighters they pay 3-6x more then what the ufc pays, eddie Alvarez made 1 million his first year at one championship, he said he never touched that kinda money in the UFC and didnt make 6 figures until his 4th year. The only problem is that UFC is mainstream. His contract restricts his ability to take full benefit of his achievements and skills. It's not really about legalities. It's about the UFC recognizing that it will benefit from changing its stance towards fighters. It's natural for the UFC to resist as it's natural for Mr Ngannou to persist. I predict a negotiated settlement whenever the UFC accepts that Mr Ngannou will not back down. At the moment, the UFC is testing his will, which is peculiar since Mr Ngannou is a great champion and being a champion is mostly about a fighter's willpower.

The comparison to ufc 100 was a great example of how the exploitation and greed is happening.

Think it’s very naive to think the biggest cut goes to Dana’s pocket. It goes to the company of which I assume you have no idea what their expenses are and what they spend money on. Yes Dana will get a wage but there is a whole team of workers and expenses we never see. It’s a business after all and their first priority is profit for longevity of said business. Just playing devils advocate.

@@Harry_SS that would be their mistake not to structure expenses properly. You should pay at least 50% revenue to the fighters… they currently spend 10-15%… I would be so annoyed getting treated like that when you’re the main attraction

He is right, I would act the same, the fighters do the toughest part of that Game, so they should get paid fairly, he don't speak only about the top fighters, imagine those lower ranked ufc fighters who can barely make a living, after taxes, expenses, training camps ecc
