Beautiful build! I used to think the Monogram kits were so accurate until you pointed out that they didnt even have rear shocks. Ive learned alot on these kits recently. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful Road Runner. I have this Satellite kit in my stash. I build the GTX from the blue cover box from Revell in the same color, it's my favorite build I've ever done, 3rd place winner at the AACA Museum car show. 🏆 Yours looks so nice with the resin grill, I wish I had one for my next build. Love your videos, I watch every one.
Thanks! You might want to get one as soon as you can. I'm hearing that they are getting scarce. I bought one right away. I do this now with most new releases as they seem to sell out and become hard to find. I don't know for sure, but I don't think the manufacturers make as many kits for a first run. Just in case they don't sell then they are not stuck storing a lot of kits.
You absolutely nailed the build 👍 Where did you source the 383 or did you just repurpose the 440? Excellent work, I’m looking forward to getting around to mine someday 😆
Excellent job building your Monogram '71 Plymouth Roadrunner/Satellite Raoul and the Sassy Grass Green really makes the car standout too! Do you plan on building the Salvinos Jr '71 Petty Roadrunner in the future as this is perhaps one of my favorite Richard Petty stock cars he drove other than the later Dodge Chargers and the Superbird he drove too?
I've got that one to restore. When you talked about the F&F one you said it had the front emblem on the chrome three, so I snagged one before they went away. That said, I want to make a plain I6 base Satellite. I was wondering if the coupe had the front bench seat, or if it was only in the 4 doors version. I'm really not that good at searching the web it seems, as I can't really find parts to do a proper Satellite the way I want to if the coupe had a front bench seat.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler Yeah, I guess you will find it there. But you could go on Jachobby, they have it in both the American and German boxing. They're my local (couple of cities away) hobbyshop, and IIRC they deliver to US as well. That said, what I need to find, is if the coupe had front bench seat, then if needed the bench seat, and the proper interior and the other parts like the hood. So far I have the badge waiting in my F&F kit, the kit itself to restore and the I6 engine.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler I actually finally seen one, but the bench isn't a full bench so to spea, it has the middle part of the back that is shorter in the middle, as it can be pushed down to be an arm rest. Didn't really like the look, so I think I'm gonna stick with the bucket seats and the console. Tho, since I want to make a base model, I'm not exactly sure if the bucket seats and console were optional stuff.

The kits were getting better and better. Compared to most MPC and AMT, they were at the time.
Awesome build! I like the way you told the history of the 71 to. 👍 👌 👍
Thanks! 👍
Awesome video Raoul … and one of my favourite Mopars

I love that green! I’ve got the Fast and Furious version in the stash. I’m a fan of the body style. Nice work!
I like these kits! Well I just like kits in general! LOL!

Another outstanding build!with the options these cars had you could literally build 20 different versions.

Me too!
Great looker Great info

Great build Raoul 👍 I want to get the Dom's gtx kit. I like the bird bath hood on these cars.

Thanks! That is the kit engine as issued.

Yes. I bought some petty blue from Scale Finishes for it. I need to stay focused and finish a few first.
Awesome build. Is Keith marks still in business?
I think so and I did buy some decals about a year ago from him.
He sure is,i just bought some decals two weeks ago.
Thanks.

Cool! You know I haven’t seen that F&F kit lately. Probably will find a few on eBay but at higher prices.

I just google "1971 Satellite" look at cars for sale and find pics. I have seen 2dr's with a bench seat. Don't know of any resin seats for one.
