Hii barabara nilipíta na Prado 120 series d4d around 2 yrs ago...bratha let me tell you kuna mahali I missed a turn. Ile mambo niliona before I returned to the normal road, hiyo Prado kama ingekuwa na akili ingeenda kanisa iokoke. Honestly sijui what what would have happened kama singekuwa na that prado. Kuna several spots karibu nikwame kwa mchanga juu iko soft na fine kama baking powder. Even FSR na FVZ za mchanga zilikataa kupita mahali nilipotelea. Hata this day I am sure hiyo prado iko na vumbi ya Suswa still trapped somewhere mahali vacuum cleaner haiewezi fikia. Several people have told me the road sio mbaya so naweza jaribu tena. Thank you for kunionyesha bado ni mbaya. Najua of two proboxes, brand spanking new, zinangojea new gearboxes juu ya kupita hiyo road ikiwa hivyo. That stretch is a nightmare. Kama hauna 4x4, please do not try this.
I drive a landcruiser 78 series, and I've always fueled Diesel at TOTAL. for a little over 2 years now. They have never failed me. As you said, diesel engines are very sensitive n if you fumble with service intervals or dirty fuel, you've messed up. PS . AMAZING CONTENT, KEEP IT UP
I actually used my VW passat B6 during Christmas on that same road and it was a smooth ride the untarmacked sections not withstanding, there’s a section you branch just before suswa town to avoid that last bad stretch it’s also untarmacked but better than where you passed through then you join main highway to suswa town. Great video
The way I think of torque and horsepower is: Torque is how much turning force you can apply to the drivetrain irrespective of the speed. Horsepower is the ability to apply that turning force at higher rotational speed. The more torque you can put down at higher speed, the more the horsepower.
That adrenaline rush when you manouvered the water paddle at the 50th minute (Hadi ukameza mate) just reminds the crippling that arouses within you each time you get a greater off-roading challenge on safari. Thanks Khalif for the detailed and creative way in reviewing and marketing your rides
I made the drive on this road about 2 years ago with my friend AFRIKAN TRAVELLER and this road looks exactly the same . The marram stretches are still not fixed . Hopefully the government will fix that soon
Khalif Kairo is The Best Motoring Journalist I have ever seen from Kenya. And Yes I'm Throwing Shots At JM Baraza Because We Have History 😏😏 But wueeh he took a roadtrip to Magadi in a Jaguar and went in depth took a Cayenne from Ngong To Suswa and Did A Full Depth Review I didn't know that much about those cars He's a Gem A very niche reviewer Best wishes and regards in 2023
33:35 In simpler terms or in a layman's language, consider torque as the strength of a vehicle and horsepower as the speed of the vehicle. Kind of like Mike Tyson with his strength and Usain Bolt with his acceleration
I've not started watching it but it gives me chills..... waiting to get home and enjoy it on my 55' samsung Qled panel😂😂 na wajakhoya. But big up Kairo♥️
Appreciating the direction kid with samosa, nice gesture. I relate and it made me smile. Roho safi vibe. Hope they were enough for his friends and Bosco though 😂
NO OBJECTION on this Khalif should officially be offered the back right sit next to Mbugua What am 100% sure is that Wokabi and Khalif will not agree at the end of the day and both ll have concrete reasons supporting their arguments
Just before the Kikuyu interchange a learner in a red Polo who clearly didn't go to driving school. What happened to keep left unless overtaking!!! Very annoying when slow drivers don't know their rightful place.
Midrange tyres are good like Bridgestone. Again in Europe we have different types of tyres e.g Snow tyres Wet/ dry tyres AND All weather tyres ! I tend to use all weather because you can use them both in wet and dry weather. Summer tyres or you can have
Quality of fuel reputable station would do,however from experience you get more fuel filling the tank in the morning, denser, more quantity than on warmer/afternoon less dense.
From today In any conversation I will be having with anyone 'here comes nothing' must be thrown here and there😅😅😅. Nice reviewing Kairo. It's always amazing watching your reviews good job man💯.
Been using Bridgestone for over 10 years now l’m very happy, l had bad experience with Continental they don’t last however they’re one of the best in ride comfort
Yeah , that road is amazing , Once I learnt about it , I said GOODBYE to accident prone Nakuru nairobi highway ... Kisumu to Nairobi via Narok .... wow you will enjoy. Thanks!!!
Amazing review @khalif with your colleague. You've truly given out every feature and capabilities of the vehicle into exact details. I liked your piloting terms like descending, cockpit and abeam to give proper references to landmarks in relation to your current position and course of action. For me I prefer the Western tyre brands like Pirelli. Good job and be blessed.
Glad I stumbled on this channel.Just a passing comment; I once watched an interview where a road engineer explain the issues of the Ngong-Suswa road. Due to seismic activity in the region, the contractor had to requote because of the shifting ground. The price went up like twice. The design engineer hadn't factored that fact. The government decided to put it on the back burner for now. But great to see the sceneries again. I'm definitely subscribing.

Kairu,if you did that route on the 31st 22,then I did it the following day 01/01/23 using the opposite direction. From Karen to Mai Mahiu to Suswa then used the Suswa /Ngong route.I did it in my Nissan B15 manual in full capacity..5 pax.Very doable!

Is the road complete by now?
I love that you covered this route, very scenic views and relaxing for drives on weekends
I used this road with a Mazda Verisa,it was super smooth.
Awesome! I made the same trip 11 years ago when there was no tarmac in a FWD saloon! Search Mitsubishi VRG GDI Offroad.

This government said instead of spending money fixing such infrastructures let’s give that money to the people/hustlers. 35:44
I always use this road with my Mitsubishi lancer FWD more lower than cayenne, and previously that road was worse than its now as passed there.
Good content khalif roadtrip fan❤🥂
Great content! I've done several of the same drives you've done. Hope to get a 4×4 this year and do more
Haha when he picked up the sand and said it's fresh, talk of hunting for the road.
Great reviews from the Jaguar XJ to the Porsche Cayenne.Keep up the spirit and God bless you all.

Good content kairo
This kind of content is dope. Not just throwing car numbers here and there, you're giving a real world review
33:35 In simpler terms or in a layman's language, consider torque as the strength of a vehicle and horsepower as the speed of the vehicle. Kind of like Mike Tyson with his strength and Usain Bolt with his acceleration

That car is a beast, the performance on the offroad was epic, an amazing content, you guys are going far!
The scenery and the song are dope👍👍👍👍👍👍

I would love to watch a vlog partnered with @carnversation @erickwokabi, you would blend so well

You my guy. Pliz be giving us a good review of a car from the exterior and not only the interior so that we get a real feel of the car.
This is well noted
Ngong, my hometown. Looks good on camera I say....
Anyway, a remarkable roadtrip that one.
Should be a messy road during a downpour. Nice content, waiting for the Mara air 'show'.
Khalif, to access Chalbi desert, I recommend Land rover or Land cruiser. Rugged terrain is predominant there.
That's My home place ..ushaago suswa very dry but a nice place ..try sgr next time
Cayenne is great, but let's be real, the maintenance is not for any "normal" person........manze Kairo look for hyped co-drivers!!!
Hehehe,I thought so too, the co-driver was so boring
The Porsche cluster is actually a thing, the five circles go almost 60 years back.Even the newer digital clusters have the five circles.
Quality of fuel reputable station would do,however from experience you get more fuel filling the tank in the morning, denser, more quantity than on warmer/afternoon less dense.
Something new I've learnt
Very correct
excelleium diesel from total is the best. Especially for the vehicles with the DPF feature.
For tyres my preference are super radials like Michelin, Bridgestone and Pirelli
From today In any conversation I will be having with anyone 'here comes nothing' must be thrown here and there😅😅😅. Nice reviewing Kairo. It's always amazing watching your reviews good job man💯.
Excellent editing bro....great stuff. One of the best in the country
Kairo ikifika rough road anaachia Waithaka alafu ikifika lami anachukua🤣🤣we are also on the trip we notice
may be the build sections were done by different contractors, once they get fully paid by govt, they ll work to join the sections
Am always excited whenever I see a new post from this page,,, Car enthusiast💯💯

yes bro, nark route is stress free, no caravan of annoying trailers and less traffic and no road blocks, the best route ever
I'm curious..How do you go from Kisumu to Nairobi via this route
@@engsamleo Kisumu, ahero, sondu , chabera , chepilat, kaplong, bomet narok, suswa , ngong , nairobi ... Google map !!!!! ..

Thanks for this explanation. I was wondering why they left some sections undone, and who at Kenha approved such work? Now I get it.
Finally! Makes sense.
