Good to see this update. What IS needed is a model of the first large logo 56, 56036. This was seen virtually every day on Fletton Flyash trains after it was released to traffic. When passing through my local station at the time, the up line had just been relaid and speed put up to 60mph, and this engine pulling 48 CSA ash Presflos doing all of 60mph cleared the dust and rubbish off the platform! Now Cavalex need to do a model of the CSA Presflow flyash wagons to put behind the 56.
Got 008 on order remember when they were new very HST sound about their engines saw my first at Willesden Junction with my great but sadly gone step dad terry I order 008 when he was with us so it’s a mixed emotion time ,but thanks team and thanks dad miss you 😢 Cheers Mark
Great video. The opening sequence was pretty awesome until you realise it is a real soundclip. Will be intrigeing to see how Cavalex reduce the sound to 1:76 scale on their decoders Thanks for showing it
Hi, great looking loco's, can you please pass on to the Cavalex guys if they can look into producing some yellow livery network rail rolling stock, possibly some RTC and DB cargo as well. This model with working fans sounds amazing for the money, Bachmann should be looking at this with their eye watering prices these days.
There is only one thing which puts me off, and that is the A1A-A1A wheel arrangement of the model vs the CO-CO of the prototype. I understand the reason behind it, but I prefer accuracy in the mechanical area to go along with the body and livery. I can't wait for the days when 00 finally gets individual traction motors for each axle. I'll be waiting 30 to 50 years for that, but until then, please stick to the correct wheel arrangement. I am now completely torn between the less detailed, but more mechanically accurate Hornby model and the Cavalex.
It's far more important that all of the wheels remain in contact with the track at all times to ensure continuous 12 wheel pickup and prevent any see sawing and potential derailments on uneven trackwork than to have the middle axle powered, especially for fine scale modellers employing the locomotive on P4 track where tolerances are much tighter.
I'm looking forward to receiving my class 56 but I'm struggling to understand why are they not able to say how much a sound fitted locomotive will be. 4 months before these are due in the shops and they are only able to guesstimate the selling price. Why ? Still they sure look great.
There is a micro chip shortage which is affecting the value day by day. The Rapido Hunslets and PI Victory had their sound fitted versions delayed considerably

That was not the model making that sound, it was the real thing dubbed over the video, the birds singing at the start should have been a giveaway.
