What really got me interested Sidon’s wife Yona is from another Zora tribe away from Hyrule. It helps drive home that there is actually much more World than just Hyrule itself.
I always figured, hyrule is just one kingdom I always wished Nintendo would explore the idea of hyrule having to fight a neighboring kingdom as a game.
I know! With all the small things Nintendo put in totk, like Yona and the ancient hero armor, I’m hoping these are pointing to a LoZ game that takes place a completely different kingdom that allows Nintendo to break away from the conventional LoZ format
@@tepiddairy Eight Zelda games already take place completely outside of Hyrule, actually. You have Majoras Mask, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Skyward Sword, and Triforce Heroes. This is almost half of the entire main series lol Then there's also the dark realm in Link to the Past and Link Between Worlds' Lorule, which are not Hyrule either (technically, although you still do spend half the game in actual Hyrule).
Hmmm it does make a lot of sense when relating the couples to the florals, - Link + Princess Zelda = Silent Princess - King Rauru + Queen Sonia = Sundelion Flower

There are evidence in Tears of the Kingdom to prove Link and Zelda are more involved in a romantic after Breath of the Wild or Zelink is canon for short: -In memory 8 of the Dragon Tears, Zelda tells Rauru her description of Link as well as her fondness of her knight/hero/lover. Her ancestors acted like the kind of parents who would be interested in meeting their daughter’s boyfriend and hoping to put Link’s mind at ease. - Before the pair set out to investigate the glooms beneath Hyrule Castle, Zelda was about to surprise Link with the newly improved Champion’s Tunic. - Both become teachers in Zelda’s School to educate a new generation of Hylians in Hateno Village with the assistant of Symin (since they saw themselves through them). - I’m not sure what the Japanese version is like, it claims that it is their home while the western called Link’s formal home “Zelda’s House”. - When Sidon said “I’m sorry, but we have yet to find your princess“ in either before or after you completed the Water Temple mission, this may implied that he is aware of their relationship. - A scene you get of Link surrounded by the silent princess flowers, a flower field where there are princess flowers and blue nightshade side-by-side, an npc implying married couples by dream homes, that dream home having a study and silent princesses nearby. - After completing the side quest in Lurelin Village, NPC tells Link about the couple’s secret visit at the Lover’s Pond (meaning Zelda visits there with Link accompanying her) - While the original Western version of Tears of the Kingdom calls this side quest “Potential Princess Sightings”, Link calls her "my sweet princess" in the Japanese quest log version. - After exploring the geoglyphs, the Japanese version of the mission log shows that Link learned of Zelda becoming the Light Dragon (or white Dragon in Japanese) all to entrust the Master Sword to him, and he must live up to her feelings, no matter what; "なんとしてもゼルダ姫の想いに応えなければ" or "(I) have to live up to/must respond to Princess Zelda's feelings" - in the final boss battle, Light Dragon (Zelda) comes to save and aids Link against Draconified Ganondorf which could mean not all of her is lost. Zelda’s love for Link could be explained by her dragon instinct if not of Fi helping to keeping her conscious intact for millionia. -Zelda’s dragonification is reversed when Rauru’s light power and Sonia’s time power channeling through Link. The reason why it happened was because they required Link’s stronger motives. And we have seen that before in BOTW where Zelda’s motives to save Link triggered her Light powers. It was love. - The entire goal of the game from the start isn't even "Kill Ganondorf". It is to "Find Princess Zelda" and that is only completed by Link by catching the real Zelda. - Link held on to her tightly as they landed on a lake. Upon being woken after being asleep for hundreds of thousands of years, Zelda can describe it as “a warm, loving embrace”. - When Zelda said “ Link ,I’m home”, I believe it is not just she really returned to the Hyrule she belongs to. But Link is her home. In Japanese however, Zelda said this: "ただいま... リンク" (pronounced as I'm home Link). These words depicts that is either someone close to family or a person you shared space with (aka lover). This hints that Link and Zelda are indeed lovers. - Mineru Theorized that reversing Zelda’s Draconification requires Sonia’s Time power and Rauru’s Light Power to be channeled through Link’s arm; but activating magic is also in need of strong motive. That is when Zelda smiles at her knight knowing how much his princess means to him. - In comparing the two secret endings, Link runs up to Zelda in Breath of the Wild while he walks proudly as he is showing his composure among his friends approaching Zelda. While she has shown a lot of love and care for the people of Hyrule, Princess Zelda’s true love is for Link and only the player can see the two of them in love.
@@samuelaraujo7298 They’re more of valid points I am making. They are not theories. The only theory I had is possibly the Champions Armor as possible marriage proposal since Link has been immersed into the Zora culture since childhood. There is a parallel between two princesses if you read Mipha’s diary. But I think he is very close to only one of them. I’m glad you like this comment.
I noticed that with Purah, the camera is aimed at her feet as if she was still a little kid only to reveal that she's basically Link and Zelda's apparent age (young adult despite being over 100)
I don't fully know if it means much. But when link first comes in contact with Ganon's magic, "burn marks" appear on his upper arm. Unlike his lower arm that turns black. His arm resembles more of what you would see in zonai armor. Coupling that with the story reflecting it and veg wording of the ancient hero armor. "Convenient."
Flowerblight ganon went to therapy. Now she says that her insults are what the plants would say if they could talk, While in botw she implied the flowers were screaming
Should've noted that horses carry over from BotW if you have save data on your switch, so if you already had the giant horse in BotW, it'll show up already in your stable in TotK.
I don't believe the spotted horses thing. I got a pink spotted horse very quickly after I got to the surface, and I didn't finish the quest for Spot for a while. I didn't know about it for a while
In the beginning of botw…link is laying in water. We have to assume there is a pipe for pumping the healing water from the depths, up to the old shrine of resurrection. ….Tom
I got a weird one: There are hidden towers within the Depths that connect to the surface, but all towers connect to spots of significance. Some are near areas with quests, some are within visual range of geoglyphs, and some have some personal connection with the current story or callbacks to BotW. There's one that leads to Cass' hut for no particular reason.
Having no bringing back Twinrova for Tears of the Kingdom’s boss battle is a wasted opportunity. It would’ve been give some nostalgic vibes as you had fought her in Ocarina of Time. But it would’ve give Ganondorf more in-depth to his character on how his surrogate mothers taught him in mastering the Gloom while we get additional cutscenes of how he rise to becoming the Gerudo King and what his life is like since the Japanese version implicates his worldview, he believes in the survival of the fittest as Ganondorf is a mighty warrior who lives for the pleasure of war and violence. that is until the Zonai came down from the heavens, he grow despising Rauru and his kingdom Really wish Nintendo, game director Hidemaro Fujibayashi, and Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma haven’t cancelled the DLC plans for Tears of the Kingdom. :(
Getting the bottle from under Gerudo town sewer is not easy. You can't fuse it to a shield or any weapon. I tried putting palm tree trunks down but the bottle would defuse when you tried to bring it out. The ONLY thing I found to work, and not well, was to fuse the bottle to vase under Calyban, lift it up and out of the hole there. I tried to lift it and then use ultrahand to grab it but that doesn't work. The limits of these "powers" is really clear in this side quest. They aren't very good.
Incredible attention to tiny details… Now if only they’d made the story not play out so weird, had put more substance on the map, had more and better dungeons, etc.
