Anybody want to admit that it was funny that audience member David was followed up by audience member Matt? Coincidence? I think not. 😂
OMG didn't notice, that's PERFECT
Lmao that's great xDD
I’m sure David felt a little twinge in his hearts at the name ♥️ ♥️
It's all a bit wibbly wobbly 😂
I was JUST bout to comment that!
“No I didn’t win a competition!” The fact that he sounded so insulted made it even funnier 😂
Johnny standing up for David is both slightly scary yet absolutely adorable at the same time.
Made me wish that Johnny Vegas should play a Dr Who Character or Companion in the future.
I dunno, it kinda makes me want PG tips
What did he say though?
@@doesmoes You don't talk to the Doctor like that!
@@rosemorris7912 thanks for providing me some subtitles :)
I will watch any clip of David Tennant on Graham Norton, anytime, anywhere. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just like that song Anytime Anywhere by S Club Juniors don't know if you'll remember them
I will watch any clip of David Tennant.......
Even at a loved one's funeral?
I think you'll have company!
@@sufyaanali especially then, it would make me feel better!
2:45 the look of "Oh God, did I just sass DAVID TENNANT??" 😂
This was golden and David answered the Shakespeare and Russell T Davis question perfectly. David will always be my Doctor!
Spoilers follow!!
I'm sure you're happy now ;)
Again.. and again
Silence in the Library. That is all. 😭
@@pace1719 yes that is such a good ep. "Donna Noble has been saved. Donna Noble is in the library"
He'll also always be my Hamlet because it was David's portrayal that was my introduction to Shakespeare! :D
Guaranteed that experience still keeps audience-David up at night. I would be mortified lmao.
Absolutely
It was a bit cruel in my opinion.
@@harrytaylor1295 graham norton show is always cruel lmao that's part of the banter
Honestly it started off funny, but towards the end I just felt sorry for the guy.
Yeah, I didn't particularly enjoy watching that
David the Doctor Who stan compilenting the other David the Doctor Who stan and them meeting while filming Daleks in Manhatten is something I did not know I needed to see today.
Am I the only one who really wanted to hear David the doctor who stan’s story about Daleks in Manhattan? 😂
I'm dying to know who this David is and why he was also on set.
Visual. Effects supervisor
Yey we have answers!
Loved how artsy the other David got “ no I did not win the competition”.
I still want to know why he was on the set of Daleks In Manhattan 😄
From his reaction, I'm guessing he was a cast/crew member of some sort that worked with him in a professional capacity. It would be interesting to know exactly what he did though.
@@JustS0meK1dd probably was an extra
He doesn't give his surname in the clip, but there is a David Hankinson listed in the episode credits as a Dalek operator, which would be an obvious parts where Tenant could have worked with him without seeing his face often enough for it to become familiar.
@@TheJTMcDaniel the Dalek operator listed doesn't look like him on google so I'd assume otherwise
@@darkren0111 Someone said he was the visual effects supervisor.
david doesn’t age at all, still looking brilliant even years after the show!
I think this is an old one as Graham now has a beard lest i am mistaken
@bannerman Swear to god some people are like "omg they didn't age a day" and they look like somebody baked them
I dunno, his hair looks dyed yellow. Could just be me
@@JazzyWaffles it was a figure of speech.. surely ur not that braindead
This is from 2009, hence how he is referred to as soon not to be the Doctor anymore.
That was a fantastic answer by David to keep everyone happy, although Graham's right that Shakespeare is dead so he wouldn't care
Ok.
No ones dead if you’ve got a time machine 😉
@@rabidL3M0NS Like a TARDIS perhaps?
Well he needed a diplomatic answer, as he didn't want to tick off those Shakespeare stans. They can be vicious.
@@cafeeineaddicted8123 To be fair, he's a big Shakespeare fan himself!
Is it just me or is every actor who plays doctor who suddenly adopt this impeccable sense of style??? I swear i cannot get over how both David and Matt can pull off laid-back casual and classy gentleman in the same look😃
*The Sixth Doctor has left the chat*
I wish American talk show hosts would take note on how to have a talk show and make it fun! Graham Norton is incredible! The guests genuinely have a good time! Also, David Tennant is a brilliant guest!
Conan was basically the only good one. Every clip I've seen of him, it's always been enjoyable and he seems to give guests room to speak, like Graham does.
So agree! I grew up watching talk shows with great hosts long gone….Carson, Susskind, Frost, Snyder, and even William Buckley. Other than Letterman, Conan and Craig Ferguson, I rarely watched the current late night people.
@@metalswifty23couldn't agree more. Conan had all kinds of skits, sketches, and other segments like clueless gamer that really kept things interesting rather than just interviewing people on a couch
I watched a couple of American talk show clips recently as they featured people I like and both the hosts were sitting behind a desk. Why? What's that all about?
Conan is the only one
I am a simple person, I see David Tennant, I click.
Quite right, too! 😉
Wow. Graham went from David to Matt. I hadn’t noticed that the audience question asker went from David to Matt back when I first saw this.
yeah, what a coincidence after he regenerates, Matt was the next Doctor after David 😆
@@mrphoto_fix then after 2 more doctors, we are back to david
I have to say the Graham Norton show is like no other. I have loved it for years. He is such a joy to watch and his interaction with his guests is phenomenal. Take a bow sir, your amazing
Indeed. Matt Damon in an earlier appearance said he loved his time on the show.
Agreed. American talk shows are generic and all about pushing the product. Norton lets them drink, let loose and just be themselves
The little "That's a nice, gentle question"
I liked the question a lot. Like from a fan to a fan. How did it start for you?
They both felt the value of the question and Graham just missed it.
Definitely, everyone on here laughing like it was a silly question. You worded it perfectly. I agree may have gone over Grahams head as he doesn't understand being a fan or he was always likely to throw him under the bus regardless because comically it was just much more fun to play it that way but ironically his question was genuine whereas the 'who better writer one' was actually the silly and meaningless one.
Question was great everything was great, hope he got to talk to David at the end
David is one of us fans, which makes it so wonderful to see him make his dream come true, time and time again.
i like how david was such a nerd hecanme up witrh such an obcure piece of trivia on the spot.
And once again I'm stuck in the never ending loop of the graham norton show
Glad I'm not the only one
Stay hydrated
I love this interview. DT is dressed so well and love the clean shaven, styled hair look. He just looks amazing. And I love how involved he is with the interview. And the other guest is great in how he gets involved without distracting from DT. The entire segment makes me smile.
Johnny Vegas? He's brilliant on panel shows and stuff like this!
Part of UK culture involves asking someone "who was your Doctor?". That doesn't mean the favourite but the first one they remember.
It could be both.
I think it's more about favorite. "your." First time I saw Dr Who was in the olden days, guy with the scarf. it was boring af I was unable to watch. And I was 26 lol! From the reboot I loved 9, didn't get to watch Tennant because Real Life, and Matt Smith was "my" doctor, embodying the role for me.
@@pandroidgaxie you Sir are a heathen, to call Tom Baker boring, is like saying Pavarotti couldn't sing.
@pandroidgaxie Stupid Matt Smith NOISY MINORITY fan.
For most of Doctor Who's fans David is their doctor. And Tom Baker would be the second for most of them, NEVER Matt UGLY Smith.
This show is just so good 😂
Both the audience members had excellent questions imo.
I agree. And David and David had the same first memory of Doctor Who!
David is one of the best actors! Also best doctor and my favorite
Lol Graham "I'd say Russel T Davies cause Shakespeare is dead" had me dead xD
So glad David Tennant was a Doctor Who fan long before he embodied The Doctor. My grannie knitted me the scarf too!! I still have it, but it's pretty tired now.
Funny that the two guys were named David and Matt
Absolutely great. I usually laugh with the clips from the show but this clips was incredible ❤
I like how davids question was followed by matts question
David Tennant!!! The once and future Doctor! ;) Also GOAT
now i have to open it and watch all the seasons!! because I remembered how much I missed!
I wish we had a Graham Norton here in Brazil. He's fantastic!
I can help with that ;)
@@harrietthomas4032 How
@@matheusflores619 looking back I think I was imagining me be the Graham Norton version in Brazil ;) I'm British and would love to travel to South America :)
@@harrietthomas4032 Oh ok😅 Well, cheaper than a brazillian going to the Uk😆
You've got Lord Vinheteiro tho.
My first memory of Doctor Who was the Series 6 (as in, the 11th Doctor) episode "The Girl Who Waited," where Amy got separated from the Doctor and Rory and wound up 36 years into the future where she had to fend off the robots trying to inject her with a lethal medicine. After that, it was "The Christmas Invasion," which was David Tennant's first outing as the Doctor. And it was that special that got me hooked on the show.
How can anyone think that David exaggerating how big of a fan he really is… He married The Doctors daughter 😂
Fun episode. Graham is my all time best interviewer. Hands down the best.
*"YOU DON'T TALK TO THE DOCTOR LIKE THAT!!!"*
David and Matthew. Hmm. I wonder if the 3rd person was named Peter! 🤣
My first memory of Doctor who was catching the episode don't blink with Sally on TV. I immediately fell in love with Doctor who and weeping angels are still my favourite villain characters.
Brilliant. David is one Dr I haven’t met yet and hoping to fix that next year in 2023
Did you get to meet him?
I normally only enjoy Conan as a talk show host, but Graham Norton actually interacts with the audience and has a quick wit like Conan does. I’d like to see him on Conan’s podcast.
I totally agree with you
Best show ever I love the amazing Lovely feeling you feel off this show.
Great video. And DT has never looked better! Love the clean shaven, professionally dressed look on him.
glad to have him back as the doctor
Bring back full episodes!
Just how fantastic is Graham Norton!
Love David!
They literally had me choking with laughter. Had to get a drink 😆😆😆
I remember the classic series Tom baker being my favourite, but as for the revived series's David Tennants doctor is the best one so far, in my view
I would have asked what Alexis Kingston whispered into the doctors ear in the forest of the dead .
I love that Tom Baker was his Doctor because that’s when I started watching it. ❤
Me too
I kind of lucked out. In the early 80's, I was tuned to WOR in NY on cable when it came on and the episode was Robot. I was hooked instantly.
Surely I’m not the only thinking this was a recent interview about the 60th special? 🤣
Love Johnny Vegas's sense of humour.
I'm so old I remember watching that Patrick Troughton story and some William Hartnell ones. 😁
Imagine getting the chance to ask a question and that’s what you ask 😂
The other lads with the answer were probably fuming 🤣🤣
The second one got to ask and was answered, just the 3rd guy who's rightfully fuming
@@zo7034 yeah you’re right I commented this after the first guy asked that question
@@zo7034 His evil (fan) villian origin story.....
It was a nice, easy softball that wouldn't put David Tennant on the spot--unlike the idiot from a few years ago who asked if she could touch his hair!!!. It was very considerate, but I also thought the answer was interesting. I don't see anything wrong with asking him what his first memory of Doctor Who was.
@@robinlillian9471 Right! I think it is an interesting thing to know, and esp when you re a Whovian.
in one of the worst examples of child neglect ever my mother refused to knit me a Tom Baker Dr Who scarf scared me for life
and I can still see the daleks coming over the bridge on Black and White tv in the 1960s although I was hiding behind a chair
Adding in the description when this first aired would be great!
I must right that Norton's style of interview is genius, it goes through each person but allows them to cross-over, in fact my favourite exchange is Ricky Gervais as a Taxidermy as it was so English, and furthermore does not need to be bogged down by fun games (When there are though they are so unique and genius.). Honestly, brilliant work.
I love how Matt came after David 👀
I love that he had a Tom Baker doll and a scarf. I first saw Dr. Who with Tom Baker (being an American as I am) so I've been a longtime fan of Tom Baker.
What a great crowd.
Absolutely my favorite Doctor
If I remember right, my favorite stories were actually written by Moffat but Davies was showrunner. I vastly prefered the Davies era, but it's interesting to think Moffat may have been the better writer. Although I almost see it like George Lucas. If I remember right, the best movies were technically the ones he had least to do with (5 and 3), not counting the non-canon Disney trilogy, of course. I think Moffat may be the Lucas of Doctor Who. He needs someone else steering the ship so he can focus exclusively on what he does best.
Still one of my favourite episodes. Definitely top 5.
Who still remembers "I was trimming my pubes, when...."?😅
Love how it went from David to Matthew
I'm so glad he's back as doctor
He is???
@@ethanjohnson3642 yeah, Jodie regenerated into David at the end of this evening's episode.
@@OptimusWombat Only for 3 episodes tho.....
@@GameOverMan76 I know that. I was relying to the other guy who didn't even know he was back.
I felt so bad for that dude omg 😅
I may 'delay' watching these as they pop-up *'but'* it never fails to entertain. Mr Graham Norton is a perfect host for this show :)
I have to agree. Somehow, I feel as though The Graham Norton Show hosted by Noel Edmonds wouldn't hit in quite the same way. It's almost as if the show was made for him. :)
@@maniraptavia4008 Perhaps, though Blake only showed up for 2 of the last 26 episodes of Blake's 7, so there can be a show named after a person that doesn't have the person. 😺
Graham is the most delightful person
MY GRANDMA KNITT ME A TOM BAKER SCARF TOOO!!
I wish this had the year it's from listed, it's a very old clip. My guess is 2009, the guy mentioned David had just finished his run as Hamlet
definitely near the end of 2009, they mentioned David wasn’t going to be the Doctor anymore so this might have just been before Matt Smith was announced.
This takes me back
David will forever be "my doctor"! 😻 I will have my tardis & find "my doctors" timeline and "Allons-z"!!! Time travel with The Doctor...❤
My first experience of doctor who was the season 2 finale ending during the scene of the wall seperating billie and david.
a few years later I probably got into doctor who with the box set of the first 4 seasons.
I was literally crying with laughter towards the end of this. “Leave him, he’s not worth it.”
I couldn't believe this was the new season, David does NOT age! He looks the same as he did when he played 10!
its not recent lol
@@sxsanyu Ohh I had looked up the season and it said it aired recently

@@robinlillian9471 Actually 31 years.
He is so full on that he married another Doctors daughter! Georgia Davidsons dad is Peter Davidson the fifth doctor 😊
Actually, when Georgia went into acting she kept the original family name of Moffett instead of using her father's stage name of Davison. However, I believe she's going by Georgia Tennant now.
FYI - Hamish Wilson went on to be a radio producer and began my writing career. He died from Covid recently. I miss him. Oh, and I worked with David Tennant too. The Giftie Gi'en Us for 7:84.
David Tennant was one favorites to play the Doctor.
Good to see him Back as the Doctor
Only for 3 episodes tho, not a full season.
My dad has Tom baker’s scarf as well. He got it for his birthday a few years back as he grew up with Tom baker as well.
David and Johnny making an excellent Cannon & Ball tribute act, there.
Graham is just out of this world! XD
We never did get to find out why he was on the set of Daleks Take Manhattan!
Stalking David I guess
David Tennant is so adorable.

Stuff like this is why I, as a citizen of the United States of America, would rather watch Graham Norton than The Tonight Show or any of these other corporately produced, strictly manufactured late night talk shows we pump out in the regular. lol
"Russel T. Davies is the Shakespeare of today."
Thinks back to Abzorbaloff episode...
It was about to kick off like an episode of Extras - "we met on the set of Daleks take Manhattan" "oh did you win a contest?" "no I'm an actor" "oh did we have any lines together? what were your lines?" "well when we were running through the sewers I run by you in pig makeup and I sort of make a snort sound like 'hey mate'". "oh, you're an extra you mean?" "yeah well in that I was but really I'm an actor so, you know, just love doctor who..."
Man....David Tennant practically doesn't age!!!
