Thank you very much. You do such great filming. So much room. I love the steel cover on super grill. Looks great, and safe from heat. Yes that is a full size KITCHEN. The head in engine room that's great idea. Never seen that before. Those Detroit's must just power her to no end. And the sound they make. Loved hearing them on support vessels in the US Navy.
Thanks RP. I've never seen a toilet in the engine room before either, but it also means you can use the toilet down there without coming inside the accommodation if you're covered in fish blood and guts etc 😉
Hi Garnock Reviews That is a Type of a yacht that you mostly see in the United States with this building shape a nice layout 3 sleeping rooms great boat thanks again great show
Thanks! I wasn't expecting a toilet when I panned the camera round the engine room! I think this is so that when you're dirty either from fishing or from working in the engine room, you don't have to go inside the accommodation to go to the heads. You access the engine room from the aft cockpit, so there are no carpets or leather etc to get messed up.
I agree. If you look at it like a house, you have a fully equipped kitchen, utility room, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and an impressive boat at the same time 🤠
Great boat, excellent for fishing. That one I could afford hitting on a scratch off. That would leave enough to put it in for refit and engine overhaul.
Hard to believe she has averaged only around 100 hours per year!! I'd love to go cruise, fish, and relax on something like this. Head south to the Keys and across to the islands 🏝 🤠
It's crazy the minor details some people look for. I know personally someone that once was selling a 40ft flybridge cruiser for around $125k. The deal fell through as the buyer didn't like the color of the curtains!! Pretty sure you could have swapped out every curtain onboard and still have change back from $1k!!
you had me until you said detroits...........i really do love the seaworthiness of these sportfisher-based hulls. I am very fond of the big rivieras on the same concept.
@@GarnockReviews noise level comparatively dirty, and not as common as other brands outside of certain parts of the US. also my impression is that the skill required to maintain them is slightly higher than other brands but that is just my impression.
Detroits used to be harder to get parts for when I was back in Scotland. I don't belive there are the same issues here in Florida, but always worth checking out essential maintenance parts and engineers in your cruising grounds for any boat before buying 😉
@@GarnockReviews i just watched a series of an Aussie rebuilding a trawler with a single detroit. He had a friend who was a detroit expert who helped him. Had that guy not been available, he would have been in a bind. I formed the impression that such detroits had a few more tricks and nuances to them (compared to something like a yanmar) and you really need to have a mechanic who has been working on them for years and who knows their temperment. and yes, he had to have a couple things ordered from over seas for the rebuild.
I honestly don't know much about the demise of the company. I've featured several Odyssey's now on my channel and they have always impressed me. They offer great accommodation as well as being great offshore capabilities. Whatever happened to the company, it sure is a shame you can't order a new one today.

Hey Manuel, I agree this is more of an American thing. I don't remember seeing this style of boat over in the UK

I'd love to live on that. Don't have enough money, but...would be amazing.

@@GarnockReviews let me know when you put something like that together, I'm all in. I'm an excellent cook and a fair fisherman.
@@johngauntlett4915 few more UA-cam views to go before I can look at anything beyond a gravy boat 🤪
Forgot to add cedar lines closets, details man, women dig that chit.

I loved the design on this one too. Just curious, why don't you like Detroits? 🤔

Not sure how the kids of this company let the business go, laziness i guess
