Variety acts ALL get sh@#canned on the X Factor, and people have been conditioned to that. These days people just expect more of a PERFORMANCE from a live show, more of a DISCIPLINE. Guy who swallows ping pong balls: that's a UA-cam video. personalities based around gimmicks, those are UA-camrs, Tiktokers etc. Just the thought of getting famous by doing a gimmick as a STAGE act these days, is insane.
