I met Michael R. Jackson ten years ago when I was living in NYC and he was so kind, funny and interested in others. I have so much admiration and respect for him and am so happy for his success.
I wish you could see it, too! It's my favorite current show. I feel especially lucky to live where I do, so I can see certain shows as many times as I want (don't ask how many times I've seen "A Strange Loop" bc the number is *high.* It's getting embarrassing.)
I’m sure the playwright does get those Michael Jackson references all the time, when it comes to the singer’s music or his legacy. Almost similar to Michael Jordan (the athlete) and Michael B. Jordan (the actor).
There was also a wide reciever in the NFL in the 90s named Michael Jackson and literally any time he scored a touchdown ESPN or local news would make references to MJ the singer.
Thank you, I hope to be able to meet Michael R. Jackson soon to tell him face to face. This award winning musical is an inspirational story that I need to keep going on my own strange loop. Having spent time on stage with Kristen Bell, but now I am looking for space to bring a story about the Stonewall Uprising to the stage and screen. Tears of joy and acknowledgment stream down my face when I heard of this. Hopefully, I can see A Strange Loop soon. I am a trans man, singer, writer and creator of Stonewall The Musical and Talking Musical History podcast. Trying to make history like Michael R. Jackson has done. Praying now that I can get in touch with him, as soon as possible. Especially, being a fellow queer creative person from the Motor City.
Intersectional identity ideology is so interesting. We really haven't heard enough of this viewpoint in recent years. I'm not sure why the media has shied away from it. I think the public just hungers for more of it. I know I do. Our individuality is not important. What's important is what oppressed group we belong to and the extent of our victimhood.

OMG, I wasn't going to post this until I saw the book cover and it confirmed it.. 3:52 Plays used to be about things and events, not navel-gazing. That said, congrats on the playwright's success : )
Since when? Most musicals - including this one - are about *people.* If you want to call it "navel-gazing" as if it's an insult, I'm really not sure which musicals you find acceptable. Maybe "Spongebob, the Musical." It's about a sponge (that's a thing, if not an event).

Why on earth would anyone after 1980 name their kid Michael Jackson? You just know the kid is going to take constant "No not the singer".
Larry Owens should be...

Hey I'm sorry I'm not a racist but now I think that everything is just going to one color
Sounds pretty racist
just cause white people aren’t in it doesn’t mean it’s racist
When you preface a racist statement by saying “ Hey, I’m sorry I’m not a racist” you are likely a racist.
Thanks for the warning
Looks absolutely horrible 👎🏻🖕🏻
Bye!
Well it's not, so there ya go
Then don’t watch
