Another suggestion. Buy a folding card table with four chairs to use for eating. That way your wife can pick out a good dining table when she arrives. The card table will come in handy later on, you’ll use it again and again.

So easy Bryan use the top cupboards close to your sink for the everyday use like dinner plates, bowls, drinking glasses and mugs. The cutleries and knives , spatulas etc. use pull out drawers beside your dishwasher. Bottom cupboards for your pots and pans where your kids can reach them when they put away or use them.
You have to make a list of priority/necessity items to be bought. Big problem if you dont have money here in US living on credit cards. Well that's life Brian you cant have everything.
Put your pots and pans in the cabinet below and put your glasses and plates on the top that's hanging on the wall then you will know where your stuff is fill up the closet what's smacks and other things you need put your cleaning supplies underneath the sink

Just buy bar stool for now you can use that bar as table to eat if can’t decide on dining table as a housewife I would recommend to put the dining table right there where you put the sofa right in the middle for the flow so you can see them while you are in the kitchen and the TV where you put the wifi tower so you can watch while eating and cooking or on the other side of the wall
Typical Military here in US. I had two Veterans Marine, they got in after high school thinking GI Bill will send them to school for free which is true. The problem is once they got out they need to adopt the reality of life so they needed guidance from family which most of them don’t listen cause they were thought deferent way, they are military plus the PTSD. They got depressed and end up dis oriented alcoholic because they were thought to be tough. I remembered when I attended my son’s Graduation in Marine. When they pronounced “ From now on you are property of United State of America “ thinking my son’s only 18 years old. After 5 years in service they got out and face so many obligations in life. Have kids and family. That’s why I understand Brian. It takes awhile but you will learn. Until now, I’m still supporting my son if he needed me. Brian doesn’t have a parents to guide him. He just started to gain he’s family life here in US. I just disagree that they don’t have privacy . Kulang na lang pati pag Popo and Phipe iblog nila. You don’t need to blog everything that happen or doin to your life just to earn money. Just find the nice concept that people will look up you, not because the viewers feel pity or sorry for you. Start in that house make it look nice. How about the kids are they going to school here? FYI to commenters on furniture - Furniture can mean one piece or multiple pieces. Furnitures is not the plural of furniture. Also, there is a shortage of furniture nationwide which has been going on since the start of covid 14+ months ago. It's gotten progressively worse. I've been in retail furniture sales for about 30 years. Very little is in stock at local warehouses. At my store we have to tell people to expect to wait 3-6 months for their order to arrive.Shipping costs spiked recently and we are going through rounds of price increases. BTW - shipping cost increases affect everything you buy so expect to pay more and more due to high demand and low supply. The supply chain is broken.

It's not that bad, get some filler and paint for the hallway. You will have to buy adismantled bed that hallway is so narrow. Ikea has nice affordable furniture, beds, decent mattresses etc. infact everything a house needs. If you spent less time at Etchings, you could organise yourself. You only had to put the dishwasher on with a few things in it, and couldn't cook a breakfast? Have you cooked a meal yet, or do you go to Etching and Tom's for that too? Spend less time vlogging and more time on the children settling into their own rooms with their own beds. They may want you to paint their room a certain colour, you could have all that done before Jodelyn arrives itisn't hard, we have all had to do it working full time. You are at home but getting nothing done???
I’m amaze that your kids can adapt AMERICAN life without effort. Regarding American accent, Filipinos who arrive in America in their 20’s or up, their Pilipino accent still recognizable. But children who arrive on their early age, their Pilipino accent is gone completely. I hope your children can eliminate or improve their accent as a time goes by. That’s why going to school is better so that a child can interact and can develop social skill. Of course not during this pandemic.

Compadre! Think "efficiency" & "traffic" when organizing your kitchen. Dishes, silverware, cups, etc need to be near dishwasher. So when U unload its quick to put away. Keep cooking utensils, spices, etc near the stove so its handy to use. My husband would be lost w/o me too. LOL!
Those are easy fixes bro. You can get some ready mix wallboard joint compound ($15-20), fibre tape and a couple of wallboard knives (maybe 4, 6 inch, about $8-10 each), then some paint to match.

the halls are very narrow. Next time when you get some dressers and armoires, set them vertically and drag on the tile with a thick blanket. they will stay upright with minimal dmg to the wall.

So easy Bryan use the top cupboards close to your sink for the everyday use like dinner plates, bowls, drinking glasses and mugs. The cutleries and knives , spatulas etc. use pull out drawers beside your dishwasher. Bottom cupboards for your pots and pans where your kids can reach them when they put away or use them.
You have to make a list of priority/necessity items to be bought. Big problem if you dont have money here in US living on credit cards. Well that's life Brian you cant have everything.
Put your pots and pans in the cabinet below and put your glasses and plates on the top that's hanging on the wall then you will know where your stuff is fill up the closet what's smacks and other things you need put your cleaning supplies underneath the sink
Hello from California! Brian, why not get real bedroom furnitures for Your children so they can try to sleep in their own room. & get bar stools/chairs for your breakfast nook.

BTW, maybe the glass plates won't survive in the microwave-just a thought. Buying used furniture is not bad at all. I do the same for all my wooden furniture like china, curios, tables, and chairs. The important thing you learned on your first furniture purchase is getting the dimensions. Measure always your area to make sure you're making the right decision.
Recycle is blue color, the black or dark brown is garbage, for grass or garden stuff use the green container. Teach your kids about doing houseworks so they will learn.

I think if you go on furniture shopping try IKEA, they have some nice furnitures there and they are not that expensive.. lol get a table and chairs next 😁
Ikea is my favorite. I have to drive 7 hours to Ikea but it's all worth it. Affordable quality furniture and not made in China.
Brian there's nothing wrong with yard sale dishes. But I am way past that in my life. You need a good set of glasses and dishes for when people come over that's pretty tacky to serve drinks in several different types of Budweiser glasses or with somebody's name on it

Anyway b4 you turned on your dishwasher...wait until it's loaded with dirty dishes(maybe a day or 2) I usually wait before I go to bed to turn it on so in the morning I could empty it(put away the clean dishes)where it belongs.And then repeat the process.God bless!😊❤

Just buy bar stool for now you can use that bar as table to eat if can’t decide on dining table as a housewife I would recommend to put the dining table right there where you put the sofa right in the middle for the flow so you can see them while you are in the kitchen and the TV where you put the wifi tower so you can watch while eating and cooking or on the other side of the wall
Typical Military here in US. I had two Veterans Marine, they got in after high school thinking GI Bill will send them to school for free which is true. The problem is once they got out they need to adopt the reality of life so they needed guidance from family which most of them don’t listen cause they were thought deferent way, they are military plus the PTSD. They got depressed and end up dis oriented alcoholic because they were thought to be tough. I remembered when I attended my son’s Graduation in Marine. When they pronounced “ From now on you are property of United State of America “ thinking my son’s only 18 years old. After 5 years in service they got out and face so many obligations in life. Have kids and family. That’s why I understand Brian. It takes awhile but you will learn. Until now, I’m still supporting my son if he needed me. Brian doesn’t have a parents to guide him. He just started to gain he’s family life here in US. I just disagree that they don’t have privacy . Kulang na lang pati pag Popo and Phipe iblog nila. You don’t need to blog everything that happen or doin to your life just to earn money. Just find the nice concept that people will look up you, not because the viewers feel pity or sorry for you. Start in that house make it look nice. How about the kids are they going to school here? They need to explore so they can adopt American way, but don’t forget to teach them the right values that start from home. You have no idea how kids nowadays if their is no values. Most of military kids are behave. I just make a comment like this because you explore everything that happened in your life. Sorry! That’s not mentality of American. I saw my kids growing up they are all independent, achiever, I brought them up that if you want something you need to work for it. That is American way! FYI to commenters on furniture - Furniture can mean one piece or multiple pieces. Furnitures is not the plural of furniture. Also, there is a shortage of furniture nationwide which has been going on since the start of covid 14+ months ago. It's gotten progressively worse. I've been in retail furniture sales for about 30 years. Very little is in stock at local warehouses. At my store we have to tell people to expect to wait 3-6 months for their order to arrive.Shipping costs spiked recently and we are going through rounds of price increases. BTW - shipping cost increases affect everything you buy so expect to pay more and more due to high demand and low supply. The supply chain is broken.

Try to go to IKEA they have cool stuff that you may buy for your new house . You will find cool ideas too for your house.

If there is Ikea store by you they have cheap and “matibay” home necessities like furnitures, kitchen stuff etc. My kids love IKEA when they were young as teenagers

It's not that bad, get some filler and paint for the hallway. You will have to buy adismantled bed that hallway is so narrow. Ikea has nice affordable furniture, beds, decent mattresses etc. infact everything a house needs. If you spent less time at Etchings, you could organise yourself. You only had to put the dishwasher on with a few things in it, and couldn't cook a breakfast? Have you cooked a meal yet, or do you go to Etching and Tom's for that too?
Spend less time vlogging and more time on the children settling into their own rooms with their own beds. They may want you to paint their room a certain colour, you could have all that done before Jodelyn arrives itisn't hard, we have all had to do it working full time. You are at home but getting nothing done???

Regarding American accent, Filipinos who arrive in America in their 20’s or up, their Pilipino accent still recognizable. But children who arrive on their early age, their Pilipino accent is gone completely. I hope your children can eliminate or improve their accent as a time goes by. That’s why going to school is better so that a child can interact and can develop social skill. Of course not during this pandemic.

Brother, just a side note. Dishes that have grease and very dirty you still have to hand scrub them before you stick in the dishwasher! Dishwasher uses real hot water and will help sanitize the dishes👍
You can use spakle . Search how to use sparkle to patch hole. You’ll save a lot then pain over it
I think brian needs a stand or tripod for his camera so he can be hands free to do better work videos. He should get his motivation and inspiration from his grandpa... who despite being a senior has such clean organized well maintained home. Brian needs to focus n make a checklist of things. prioritize..essentials..versus non essentials. Its America you need to involve kids in responsibilities.

The computer desk should go inside your bedroom Brian, if you do not want to see clutters outside. Beside, your bedroom is huge. You can even put that small sofa you bought inside the main bedroom, and get a sofa very similar to etchings.

Compadre! Think "efficiency" & "traffic" when organizing your kitchen. Dishes, silverware, cups, etc need to be near dishwasher. So when U unload its quick to put away. Keep cooking utensils, spices, etc near the stove so its handy to use. My husband would be lost w/o me too. LOL!
Those are easy fixes bro. You can get some ready mix wallboard joint compound ($15-20), fibre tape and a couple of wallboard knives (maybe 4, 6 inch, about $8-10 each), then some paint to match.

the halls are very narrow. Next time when you get some dressers and armoires, set them vertically and drag on the tile with a thick blanket. they will stay upright with minimal dmg to the wall.
