  • Updated Simple Crochet Top Tutorial bit.ly/2UjmwK0
Hi there, I decided to remake the tutorial for this simple crochet top design because I needed to make this as a base in order to complete my next design - okay, that doesn't make sense. Basically, I wanted to update my simple crochet top tutorial so that you have a more solid understanding of my next crochet top design; which incorporates a simple crochet top design as it's base... Anyway, I'm sorry if this tutorial goes pretty fast, but it was a last minute decision to make this tutorial & I have another tutorial for the same exact design anyway, so I thought I would just upload this as a refresher.
However, if you are new to crochet and are looking for a more beginner friendly tutorial on this design, please visit the link above for a much more easy-to-follow tutorial. Thank you, & happy crocheting!
    FAQ: bit.ly/2um0QgT
♢ What size hook did you use? ♢
    Size 5mm
♢ What is the yarn weight? ♢
    4
♢ How much yarn did you use? ♢
    1020yd/918m
♢ How long did it take you to make? ♢
I'm not sure, I work on projects over a couple of days because I'm busy. I would say around 2 hours total
    ♢ Can I buy your tops? ♢
No, I do not sell the tops I make.
♢ Do you have a written copy of the pattern? ♢
-No, I make up my design as I go along and then narrate the video afterwards so that you can better understand my thought process
♢How do you wash your tops? ♢
    Wash by hand, hang dry
♢Do you wear anything under? ♢
Usually I do not. If I feel that something will show, however, I sew in a layer of fabric or padding
♢How many chains/ rows did you make? ♢
-Unless I state it in the video, I did not keep track of how many I made. I make up the pattern as I go and make as many chains and rows I feel will fit my body.
    ♢ Can you help me with/ I am confused/ I don't understand...
You can ask your questions in the comments below for others to answer. I have concluded my offer for online tutoring and will no longer respond to ANY messages regarding crochet questions, charts, patterns, tips, etc. I'm retired(:
I just wanted to post this because there have been a number of wonderful people tagging me in their crochet posts and messaging/ commenting on how much I have helped them. I just wanted to give back(: Also, I've had this tutorial on my computer for a while haha But normally I won't make crochet top tutorials until my last one reaches 1k likes. Remember, I WILL NOT ANSWER ANY CROCHET QUESTIONS ON ANY OF MY VIDEOS OR SOCIAL MEDIA. I will not allow myself to be a free online personal tutor. It was stressful 😅 Feel free to ask your question in the comments & if you can, answer other people's questions (much appreciated) but know that I only provide this tutorial and any additional help will come with a charge (so people don't take advantage of me, get help from me, and then take my design and sell them on their website as their own [ aughh ] )

Okay, to my fellow big boob community, and itty bitty tiddy alike, A start with 10, B starts with 12, C starts with 14, D starts with 16, and so on adding 2 for each cup size increase. I have found that a good area for how many rows to do is the same amount you started with if you want a good amount of coverage. Don't be too upset if you need to fiddle around with the stitches, it will take a while to get it right, you can do it! Hope this helped 💕

Since I am only a freshman, and don't really like exposure, I'm sewing/ putting yarn across the front a little above the exposure so I feel a little more comfortable, I will post a short on my channel to show you what I mean, I don't post much, so it shouldn't be hard to find, I hoped this helped some of you who have the same problem I do (self conscience/ don't like being exposed)
❤ thank you for this video btw, I have been wanting to make these tops really bad ❤
Also to make it a bit easier and less time taking, for the bottom part where you single crochet back and forth, I ended up double crocheting because it made it faster for me, and easier.

hey guys i hate to break the posetive chain that we have going on here. I love this tutorial and its so clear i just have one honest problem with it and its the fact that its hard to put on like i put on the project and everything kinda tugs and pulls on itself the corset and laced part or it is what i find the most frustrating the straps get stuck and its frustrating to put of even if it fitts perfectly.(i would really love some advice and feedback if you guys have some.)

so i have completed one of these and it came out really gorgeous, but i had to make some modifications because i have large boobs. i had to make the straps thicker and more durable, and the first time i did this i made a long chain and then double crocheted on my way back. but i ended up realizing that this wasn't sturdy at all, and the way that i connected from the cup to the strap, was very weak. i'm currently crocheting a second top, and i've learned that a more durable and stretchy alternative is the double chain! i did that on my way down, and then on my way back i single crocheted. this created a really strong and stretchy strap. my connection to the cup still wasn't ideal, but eventually i realized that if i didn't chain at the beginning of the double chain, and just worked right into my single crochet at the top of the cup, it kept a consistent and thick width. on my way back, upon connecting back into the same stitch on the cup, i made another single crochet, that way there were two single crochets in that stitch. this made the connection to the cup much much stronger. another modification i made was that i made the slip stitches at the bottom for the band tight enough that they looked neat, but loose enough that i could stitch into them. my reasoning for this was that instead of just making single crochets below the slip stitches, i single crocheted into each slip stitch. this ended up making the band's connection to the cups look much more seamless and neat.

oh i also failed to mention that since i made my straps thicker, i accounted for that by making small.. idk, button holes, perhaps? for the straps. i did that by making three single crochets at the beginning of a row, then making three chains, and then single crocheting into the seventh stitch. then i went all the way down that row, and then started chaining 3, six stitches before the end of the row, and then single crocheting the final three stitches. and then the row on top of that, i just single crocheted three into that space, i didn't bother trying to fit them into the chains.
