20-ish more differences of the official Mario Maker 2 game and its PC & Android fangame counterpart, SMM World Engine
This the first video type from NickoRandom 2020 to be moved over here in hoping this channel's quality will be improving
In case anyone you want to pin this to clarify some stuff idk but…
The current Dev Team are actually aware for most of these missing mechanics and features from SMM2 but if they haven’t fixed/improved or changed it is because they’re still trying to figure how the game code works, as they’re are working from Franyer’s code, that means that he only knew how it worked a 100%.
Because remember that Franyer cancelled the game but other group of people (the current dev team) decided to develop the game again. Franyer just disappeared after SMMWE 2 was leaked, either way franyer never talked to current dev team, therefore they couldn’t ask him how his code works)
IF SOME THINGS ARE THE WAY THEY ARE IS BECAUSE THATS HOW FRANYER PROGRAMMED… not the current dev team. So the new dev team are very careful when changing something as if they do something wrong it can mess up the whole game. Some things are less hard than the others but that’s the situation.
About contacting Franyer… guys he’s gone, and I mean GONE, he blocked everyone (even Franyer’s old dev team don’t have contact with him) and he doesn’t want know anything about this game anymore.
We have to be honest and consider the fact that maybe Franyer understands the code but he didn't write it himself, big part of the code comes from fan-made Mario engines like Hello Mario Engine

SMBX2 is probably the best Mario editor, it has so much. I want to make an SMM2 recreation myself, where things are more component/data-based so many more options can exist.
My uncle works at Relogic and they’re making a new one called Terraria 2: SMBX3

The bad thing is... that Smbx2 is only on pc which is a shame tho.
This series would be great for devs to watch and add those little details to WE (except the loading times and Luigi sprites of course)
They should also keep the 24 screen levels because 10 screens is SMALL

Bro the switch through game styles in SMMWE feels like a powerpoint cuz it doesn't have an smooth transition like SMM2.
Well in that case I’d say add the beta transitions from Mario maker 1 where everything flipped over into the other style it’s faster but it also has an animation so everything works out

7:09 Honestly, they have no excuse for him to be a pallette swap, it's not like they have any limitations on the hardware cause the switch is just 100x more powerful then the NES, and it is not "Iconic", I'm pretty sure we can all collectively agree that we would've all liked if Luigi had his own sprites all the way back in 1989/90 (For those who were alive when it first came out that is XD).
So this one really minor visual disappoints me A LOT.
Call this an overaction, but they really did do my boy Luigi Dirty.
(And to add insult to injury, the Mario World theme has original Luigi sprites even tho the original game didn't, if they didn't care about being "Faithful" with that style, i think it would've been fair to be "unfaithful" with SMB3, but I'm just repeating myself at this point)

In Mario Maker 3 We need to have the Actual Backgrounds from the Game so are 1-1 remake can not feel like its in the covid era and with the extra space to would make it better

The NSMBU Style in SMM World Engine looks more like NSMB2
I really wish there was an editor that took after the 3D World style in MM2. 3D fangames are just scarce in general... but I can understand why.
Kinda wish the instantaneous theme swap was the smm1 beta animation, where each tile horizontally flipped from one theme to another

SMMWE is not an illegal Mario Maker PC and Mobile port. It's a fangame recreating Super Mario Maker but it has diffirent features that made for fun like "What if Nintendo added this in Mario Maker" and the best part of this fangame that it has a new gamestyle super mario bros. 2 but it got removed in the later updates because the original fangame creator cancelled this but someone continued this but without the Mario bros 2 gamestyle. I hope they return it soon.
@@AgunimonMp73 SMM:WE had technically never even had an official SMB2 style since the only version it's in is in an unfinished beta. It was scrapped in favor of the SMB2 mushroom in another unfinished version of SMM:WE 2 before Franyer's departure.

SMM:WE New Super Mario bros U Game Style looks exactly like the one on the 3DS port of the original Super Mario Maker.
Fr, they don't want to make it HD so they don't consume too much storage.
In a nutshell, the official game is better in most areas.
Of course, it's an official Nintendo game. The fangame has also seen some rough areas along the way.

SMMWE is very lacking in detail, I have complained on their server a few times that instead of complementing what they already have, they add more and make the game feel emptier, the game currently has little content, we can't even use a big spiny, it's been 6 years with smmwe, and they haven't done anything that really helps the game.... watching your video confirms my decision to say that the game is very empty in detail and content 😢😅❤
