@@arejay7013 The mamas and the papas recorded this first but the beach boys recorded it in the 80s. The one from stranger things (which is a SHOW btw ☺️) is edited to fit the opening scene (as most songs used in these types of things are) and i’m happy that they used it.

As I said on other videos, the Beach Boys were the perfect band to cover this classic. This version is about 40 years old but still holds up extremely well. It's a timeless classic. Everything about it is just perfect. That guitar and sax solo in the middle gives this rendition such a haunting feel to it. I love it and I absolutely respect the Beach Boys for continually evolving their sound while sticking to their roots.

This song is from the 1960's, you doof. Even if you were complimenting the Beach Boys', which I don't have anything against, it was their "Very Best Of" album that they even recorded this song in 1991.
