how, what? Better than Warburton... That guy has one of the greatest voices in acting/voice acting, and he fit the character perfectly. This new guy has a huge set of boots to fill.
We need a new Tick cartoon. The Tick was a perfect choice for a comic book series for people who didn't like comics. Just about everything that made Batman a hit back in the 60's was in full effect for Tick fans. I don't really know how it would work in live action but in animation, the Tick's potential is limitless!!
Don't judge a series by its predecessors, actors, appearance, or continuity. I'm not a fan of The Tick, never really got into the comics, cartoons, or live action television show. In fact, I thought he was flat-out annoying at first. But recently I decided to give it another shot and to my surprise, it's not that bad. Each iteration of the comic, cartoon, live action, and even the recent reboot have their own unique charm and style. That being said, people really need to stop judging before actually watching or reading something. I recently saw the new Amazon Tick reboot, and its pretty good. The reason why people tend to shut the new reboot down is because nostalgia often clouds the mind with fond memories and sometimes false expectations. Again, I'm not fond of The Tick, I'm not a fan. But after watching the Amazon reboot, going back to the cartoons and previous live action show I can tell you this: ITS OKAY! Honestly the reboot is a mixture of the comics, cartoon, and previous live-action show. It's not bad at all. It's an amalgamation of dark, stupid, cheesy, campy, and realistic humor, and the best part of it all, IT SOMEHOW WORKS. Give it a chance but don't knock things before you view or read them. I know I was in the same position after the reboot was announced, but after I saw the reboot, I retracted all previous statements that I made about it. Some of you will like it, most of you won't. And that's okay, but don't bash before watching the reboot.
I heard there was a rumor going around of someone wanting to make a new live-action film version of "The Tick" starring Patrick Warburton. For my part, I would happily pay idiot 3-d money to hear and/or see Patrick in that role once more. He was flawless in the show. He even made those dopey antennae on the suit work.
The Tick grows on you, like, like.... well, a tick. I think it's cool as hell that the actor that played the Tick does the voice of Brock Samson on the Venture Brothers.
The Tick had one classic animated series and two live-action shows. The Tick never had a Big-Screen movie treatment. A few years from now, The Tick will have a Big-screen live-action movie with a comedy-action-oriented tone.
"Java Devil, you are now my bitch." That line, from the intro of the first episode, was a major reason why the live action version didn't work. Real Tick fans could never imagine him cursing. Darn and heck would be as far as he'd go, and he'd probably apologize for that.
Hats off to Ben Edlund for creating the most successful independent comic book superhero! A cartoon and 2 tv shows...now, if only they'd make an adult anime for Faust!
could you imagine if deadpool and the tick met? deadpool breaks the 4th wall and the tick is all like "you can see them too?" or even just "who are you talking to." or have him also hear the voices in deadpools head and oh the list goes on
I liked the 9 episodes of the TV show a lot,and maybe there is still hope for a new season. The latest rumour has it that the series which aired for only nine episodes on Fox from 2001 to 2002 is set to find a new home on Amazon. The source (People) is questionable, but here's what they say. Original star Patrick Warburton has apparently signed a deal with Amazon and Sony to return as The Tick and original creator Ben Edlund will produce and write the series which will then air on the online streaming service
Yall just remember yall are watching a show about a superhero based on a tick....a fucking tick!!! Dillhole motherfucking douchbags!!! All of ya should experience rocky mountain fever!!! Lethaly!!!
The characters in the cartoon were delightfully inspired. The Human Bullet. (Fire me, boy!) Captain Lemming! (Work with me, spine!) And who can forget... The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight!
I like to think the three seperate series are three perspectives on the lore. The cartoon is the Tick's very own perspective. The first live action being Arthur's telling of the events our amnesiated hero experiences. And the last series being from the Terror's perspective. Since he was so outlandishly evil.
I'm afraid to check out the new reboot... The old live-action version was already a step down from the cartoon in my opinion and the new live-action version doesn't even have Patrick Warburton who is the only actor with the physical build and comedy skills to properly portray the Tick.
The tick is literally one of the best superheroes ever! He's selfless, kind, hilarious, and so freaking cool!
Too bad he’s also an over excitable man child
Even tho there’s no reason to why he protects the city, but it shows that he doesn’t do it for fame
He only thinks destiny wants him to become a superhero.
the tick and dead pool would be the best cross over ever
Doubtful, all deadpool does is either squeal like a little girl or make meme references.
darkmyro OMG THAT IS AMAZING!!!

Too bad that's not possible. Also knowing Deadpool, I highly doubt Tick would annoy him.
You know the Tick can give the Crimson Chin a run for his money.
