Hats off to Bauke, who was wonderful during this difficult year! He overcame his shyness to post information for the herd. We felt his pain and that of Teije and Rein, Boss Rein and everyone else in Yvonne's circle. Bauke has a great sense of humor. Remember Spidey "reading" the message? Then, when Yvonne made improvements he built the outside ring and the stalls in the barn. He even went on the card for a ride in the woods. Bauke is a UA-cam Star to all the members of the Herd. Goedzo, Bauke!
Bauke is the epitome of what kind of partner we all hope to have. He picked up the reins ( pun intended) and soldiered on for his little family while choosing to let all of us watch and participate in any way we could. A year ago this was very difficult to watch. We were so invested in your story. It has been incredibly generous of you to share so much with us! How wonderful it is to see all your achievements now. I know you recieved support from your great family, friends, and animals. I’m crying again --- but this time, happy tears, knowing, despite what you and your family and friends went through. Bauke was so strong for you, Yvonne. We hung on his every word, hoping for good news. And your loving friends, how worried they must have been. But this story is a good one, with an amazing outcome. Your determination was remarkable. And look at you now -- 90 per cent and climbing! With your own stables and arena, foals popping out everywhere, and the boys growing so quickly. One day, when they are much older, you can show them this -- what you achieved in the face of terrible adversity and how proud they can be that their mem inspires and brings joy to people all around the world. It has been quite a year! We all know that we have witnessed a true miracle here! We have seen for ourselves what prayer and collective, positive thought can do.
Yvonne's near-total recovery is a demonstration of the power of ❤LOVE❤.
Congratulations to Yvonne for defying all of the odds! She has worked so hard to get where she is today. We can only imagine the physical, mental and emotional trauma and pain she's been through; and yet --- to simply look at her, and to listen to her, you'd never guess that she nearly lost her life last year. In some video, (I've forgotten which one) somebody compared Jacobien's body type and height to that of Queen Uniek. Since that day, I've been hoping that Jacobien would grow up to be a younger version of our Queen. Now, not only do I get to see Jacobien, but Yvonne has been riding her! Plus, Jacobien's foal has been named for Yvonne! (Yvonne R. born 05/10/23) This has made my day!!!🙂

Yvonne, I hope you are feeling well. We cried when Bauke delivered the news of your accident and followed very closely praying for a miracle. It was like someone in our family was hurt. You helped us when we were in complete lockdown most of 2020 and part of 2021 teaching and showing the fun part of raising horses. Once we got thru that year, we continued to watch and learn from you. Your unfortunate accident could have set you back but WOW, look how far you have come. You are one strong woman! Whenever I feel down or think my struggles are too hard, I think of what Yvonne accomplished with the love, help, and support of her families and friends, and her beloved horses and pets. When Bauke posted that first video about Yvonne's accident, my heart sank--I didn't have a good feeling considering she had a severe head injury and later saw the pictures. Though she had the love and support of many, I know that it was Yvonne's inner strength and resilience that pushed her through to her recovery. Though she still is recovering, she does so without complaint or defeat, even if she may feel that way at times. Thank you, Yvonne. You are a true source of inspiration!

I commented earlier but I didn’t mention how much I respect and admire Bauke. He went thru hell not knowing if Yvonne would make it. Yvonne said it perfectly…. Her family had go through the hell while she slept. The fact that Bauke made the update videos for us was the bravest thing I have seen. He is an amazing man. Rein Sr is also amazing.
Bauke and Rein Sr. were the rocks in the foundations of Stal H (to be) and Stal G during Yvonne’s recovery!
Oh Yvonne, with this first video you took us back to the first period after your accident - a dark and anxious time for everybody around you who loves you so much. And then the miracle happened, like Bauke said, and we started getting hope... Look at you now! You are enjoying life and are living your dream! The miracle goes on! A great review video. Two things: it brought back a dark moment when we were all praying for you. On the bright side, we saw Bauke choke up and realized that he has a star quality. Also Boss Rein is truly a gentle person on your side. The ladies were always awesome. Forward.

That is very kind you think your subscribers helped your recovery I’m sure we were all praying for you and your husband. There was so much love from him for you - he suffered along with you. It pulled on all our heart strings. You needed all that love too, and deserved it. Now going forward keep remembering it takes 2 years for a brain to heal as good as your going to get so you’ve still got 12 months healing to go so some things might improve even more. But 90% is fabulous already. The auditory issue might improve further or you might get better with managing it. Certainly you found your balance on a horse! You look amazing riding. I’m enjoying watching you develop your property. Saly is looking so much better too. Keeping busy is great but take time to enjoy what you have created and achieved. 🏆 you are a true champion.

The year must have seem interminable to you.That time when I didn't know why you suddenly didn't post--until your kind loving Bauke did his vlog explaining I wasn't particular worried, When he told us what had happened.... well that was so frightening and I worried for you. I'm glad you explained more of just what the events of that day were though know it is just too awful. Seeing your two sons joy in seeing you again was very moving and I think Rein Sr. hugging you at Stal G that first day back solidifies what a great group of people he has about him. He knows quality in horses and people. So glad you are recovering and never apologize for needing time.🥰🥰🥰🥰

Not sure how I missed it but I did not know Reintje was in foal this year. She hasn’t looked very pregnant but we’ve been watching videos from April so that’s probably why. So all horses except Grandma Uniek will have Stal H foals this year! That’s really a great way to celebrate your year of healing snd your own stable. Enjoy!!

I will never forget that week when the posting suddenly stopped and then Bauke posted about your fall. We were all crying and praying for you. Those prayers were so strong I could feel them and I felt God had answered and you would have a full recovery in time. You are our miracle girl, our herd leader. I got choked up watching this. I remember how horrified we all were when we heard what had happened, and how much we all hoped and prayed that you would make it through. I'm a teary eyed ball of emotion right now. Seeing you in such bad shape then broke my heart. To see you know is such a beautiful and wonderful thing. You have come such a long way from that horrible accident. Know one would ever know now if they are just seeing you, that you were ever hurt. You need not ever apologize for finding words that may be hard to express in English. Your gentle heart and soul make it so wonderful for us to understand you. Queen Uniek is such a sweet horse. Thank you for the update on your health. I know this has been a difficult journey. I'm grateful that your double vision has improved. I'm hoping the hearing in your left ear will eventually be restored. But what I'm most grateful for, is that you are here to raise your babies. You are an amazing woman. Yvonne has been looking so well recently that I had almost forgotten about the accident, so watching this made me a bit emotional. A good recovery always feels like a miracle.
My niece in Australia, who was brutally attacked on her way to work last year, and also went into a coma is also doing well, back to work and living her full life. You are both always in my prayers. BTW - lovely to see the 'herd' in the meadow

WOW! Yvonne, you have come so far since the accident. When you fell you might have landed on your left side which is why that ear has hearing issues and your left hip hurts. I think your hip will eventually heal but you may be left with a hearing loss in your left ear. What is there not to love about your recovery. It does take time. It took me a full two years to recover from my concussion and I may have been unconscious for less that two to three minutes. A handsome husband, two handsome children, several horses on your place and the list could go on. We have supported you in your healing but you did all the work. I am not sure if you are a spiritual person or not but I truly think you have many things left to do on this earth and you are doing them. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your journey with us.

Hello Yvonne. Sometimes you may experience loss of a word return of thought, but it will continue to get better and better just continue to be as patient with yourself as you are with your horses. I live in the United States and as a now retired RN I experienced two bad concussions, and a few other things in the past, where I would have difficulty with word, finding, balance and strength. But everything has basically come back all the praise to Jesus. so just be encouraged and keep moving forward.
What a blessing to have so much support and love from your family, co workers and people like me who do not know you personally! I know you will call brinier to improve daily. Blessings from Texas!❤❤❤❤
