Calm down sheesh. When policy clashes with management, it WILL become a political matter. CWD surveillance involves government funding, and the debate will rage on on how much funding it needs. The party of deregulation probably don't think CWD is a big deal, but I do.

Question: What effects has the spreading of cities sewage waste solids on forest farms corn soya & alfalfa have on this disease of free-ranging deer, moose, elk. Scientists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison suggest that certain soil types serve as natural prion repositories in the wild. As animals regularly consume soil to meet their mineral needs, it's possible that prion-laden soil particles contribute to the transmission of prion disease such as CWD among animals. If Soils are involved in CWD horizontal transmission, acting as an environmental reservoir, and soil mineral and organic compounds have the ability to bind prions could the spreading of millions of pounds or this Sludge renamed Bio Solids be a contributing factor?
