I don't think anyone should be "disappointed" in Megumi. He never said bringing down Sukuna was a priority. He has never shown a particular desire for revenge - the one time he did he dismissed it - why? His sister. Megumi only agreed to become a sorcerer because of Tsumiki. Megumi asks Yuji at the start of the Culling Games arc to save him, but what people forget is the 2nd part of that plea...which is that "saving him" means saving Tsumiki. Tsumiki is dead. Megumi has no family. He was subject to the bath which did god knows what to him, subject to getting hit by Unlimited Void in order to help Sukuna kill Gojo...which he did. And let's not forget all that shit that happened to him before that. People seem to mistake Megumi for Yuta and Yuji. These people are not the same. They do not have the same priorities, the same breaking points. To me, Megumi saying "enough" (ignoring the fact he is lucky to be able to say anything after soul-tanking Unlimited Void), is not disappointing, it is the only reaction I would believe outside of incoherent rambling.

It isnt something you can just get over, just like real clinical depression its illogical and even with support from friends the thought of "I should die." Doesn't go away. Part of the tragedy of Tsumiki is that she did end up as a plot device as she was never actually awake during the main events of the story. We only see her as the person she was through Megumi's flashbacks.

So you lose out on the impacts beyond the fact that a ton of JJK characters have great initial introductions, even if after a while it turns into a Walking Dead situation where the audience knows it's just a list of characters that need to die in a specific order. The deaths themselves have impact but the world as a whole forgets the characters that die for the most part, just like Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. So the tradeoff is nice as it is a difference in manga as most popular manga don't do the character sacrifice to have their villains be impactful.

Questionable writing. 1. Yuki dying and the pathetic display fighting she did. 2. Gojo being unsealed, and taking a month break to show us very minimal was accomplished. What we seen thus far does not justify a month break. 3. Gojo being off screened. 4. Kashimo being quickly dispose of. 5.Kenjaku dying. 6. Maki being missing until now? What has she been doing. 7. Sakuna easily being put down and finally after dropping a 1000 years of rumored legends. No backstory on why he is more powerful than anyone in history. No acceptable explaination why he just wiped legends in history.
Ive noticed that yuta cuts one arm of sukuna and stabbed him a katana after the Jacob's Ladder, besides his lower mouth is destroyed meaning his space slash isn't that strong compared to 2 chants and hand signs.

Itadori fought for his ideals, and the shibuya incident just make him understand his ideals have no meaning just like his existence as human being (that's why he decide to be a "cog") but megumi does not care about all this stuff. World cutting slash is something sukuna learned from maharaga he didn't originally have it but it the second adaptation of maharaga to bypass gojo infinity and sukuna copied it. Also maki hit sakuna with soul splitting katana considering how weak sukuna is right now It can do game over. As it one shot full health naoya inside his domain.
The nice thing about the situation is it places Yuji firmly in the role of todos role for yuji in shibuya and allows yuji to save megumi completing their story circle

He also had to take a back seat in killing his mentor, the guy who did accept him. The blood bath wud only amplify those negative emotions & we never see Yuji go thru that same ritual.

Don't think they were planning for Gojo to die, the whole protagonist team has been in communication with each other thanks to Ui Ui and Mei Mei's techniques. Yuta would just know about the world dismantle from the footage of the fights before.
So I Think Megumi is fine physically. He shares his body and soul with Sukuna. Which means if Sukuna is okay so is Megumi. The only thing that is affecting him is his mind state. Angel had used the Jacobs ladder earlier in the series to separate the souls of the two, which I believe helped Megumi. So for him I believe it's all mental. Seeing all the deaths of his loved ones and his body doing it had to take a toll. But if the body is the soul and soul is the body, he will be fine. He just needs to find the resolve to keep fighting .

Soul splitting katana true , therr are two things to consider first the katana may hit and hurt the soul but im not sure it can destroy the soul in one shot, second since Yuji has destroyed the barrier between Megumis soul and Sukuna's, Sukuna may use Meguni as a shield or transfer some of the demage to him, and he didn't look surprised or concerned when Maki hit him

Yuji was traumatized sure but megumi trauma was much more personal. Im not trying to powerscale their suffering but its very different kind of trauma.From megumi perspective he killed his sole reason for living or being a sorcerer in the first place.
Megumi is a sorcerer who is constantly fighting for his survival. He is surrounded by DEATH. Why would his sister's death affect his will to live. This is the same guy who constantly kept trying to use a move that would've killed him. There is something truly wrong with Megumi because the average person would want revenge on the person who murdered his sister BUT not Megumi. He decided to give up on everything. It makes sense considering he really wasn't a Character that had high self esteem

So I Think Megumi is fine physically. He shares his body and soul with Sukuna. Which means if Sukuna is okay so is Megumi. The only thing that is affecting him is his mind state. Angel had used the Jacobs ladder earlier in the series to separate the souls of the two, which I believe helped Megumi. So for him I believe it's all mental. Seeing all the deaths of his loved ones and his body doing it had to take a toll. But if the body is the soul and soul is the body, he will be fine. He just needs to find the resolve to keep fighting .

Soul splitting katana true , therr are two things to consider first the katana may hit and hurt the soul but im not sure it can destroy the soul in one shot, second since Yuji has destroyed the barrier between Megumis soul and Sukuna's, Sukuna may use Meguni as a shield or transfer some of the demage to him, and he didn't look surprised or concerned when Maki hit him
