Yeah buddy, I felt bad for him. I never want to be that guy who ends the trip because his machine dies for whatever reason, but at least we got 2 really big days of trail riding that week!

It looked like a fun time up until his machine quit working. Did you ever get it figured out why it wouldn't start? The back is OK. I thought it was better than it is thou, a couple days ago I thought I'd do some "Light" yard work & OH MY HELL!! I couldn't move for a couple days after. I had planned to go riding in about a week, but now I think I better wait another 3 or 4 wks like the doc wants me to. I'm going stir crazy thou ...
@@GunnyE9 Ouch! That sucks, but good thing you aggravated it doing light yard work instead of going out riding all day. Holy Heck, you would've been laid up for a month!
Kevin originally thought it was his voltage regulator, but I'm not sure if that's what it ended up being. He had to buy a new battery, but I'm not really sure if that ended up being the fix either.
@@quaddingsous ... Mine quit like once & it was the voltage regulator AND the stator. However, I also bought a new battery after I replaced the other two parts.

I agree r3ddog. Been there myself and I'd be okay with it again, because the alternative is staying at home and staring at your machine. Why buy it if you aren't going to use it, right?

Yup phone batteries don’t like the extreme cold or the extreme heat. I’ve had mine shut off several times for overheating when we’re out riding and it’s in the sun.
Oh man, dead battery on a Polaris hahaha I have to say I’ve seen that before!

Hahahaha, yeah, it doesn't seem to sit well no matter what we get towed home by, unless of course, it's the same brand as what we're ridin' right - hahaha! All in good fun though! It was a bummer when Kevin's machine died. We had a good day planned out. Luckily we were able to get 2 really big rides out of the trip and saw a ton of trails that week! Kevin's a fun guy to go riding with. He's adventurous and not scared to poke down a trail that might be a dead end.
Lucky for you, this area is straight north of you and only 18 hours away! Whoooohoooo! So, now you gotta come up for a ride buddy!

Nice video Q - any day you can tow a Can Am out of the bush, it's a good day. Good thing you were thru the worst section, going up those logs and mud would have been a challenge. Cheers and have a great weekend.
If we weren't past the logs and mud, it would have been a lot shorter tow; but yeah, a little tougher sleddin' for sure. Thanx for the comments and for watchin' buddy! PS: It was a Polaris.

I would rather have finished our ride than make a Tow Job video, but hey, gotta take whatever the day serves up right. Kevin originally thought it might be the voltage regulator, but I don't think it ended up being that. I think he replaced the battery, but I'm not sure that did the trick either. Hopefully he can get it figured out. It's a good machine for him. Fits him well and for a mud machine, it handles/rides good. Plus, it's made in 'merica, where all the good bikes are made. Yeeeeehaw!

Yikes it's humbling enough to be towed back to camp but on an international stage such as Q tube, must be gut wrenching 😂 This ride was short but not so sweet for Kevin anyway thanks for the tour Q

That’s too bad for Kevin’s machine . That’s why I like to carry a jumper pack , might of started it up for him , also the usb plug with the voltage display would of helped alittle to see if it was charging / holding a charge . At least it was only feelings hurt .
Check and check. We had both. Just didn't include that footage in the video. Yeah, it sucked, but was easier to handle after having such an awesome week before that. It was our last day regardless.

Oh yeah, for sure, I agree John. I swamped my Foreman one time and had to be towed back to the truck. Luckily, I was towed by another Honda - HAHAHAHA!!!

Glad it wasn’t anything too bad. I keep a small booster pack for just that reason.

Good video Q. Do you folks use 2WD most of the time? Out here the recommendation is to use 4WD so the trails don't get ripped up. Ride Red!! Cheers
I use 4WD on all soft trails so I don't rip up the trails, but not everyone I ride with does the same 🙄.

I'm not 100% sure what the problem is. I don't know that he actually has it figured out yet, but I do know he put a new battery in because his old one wasn't holding a charge. I believe the machine is a 2018 & still had the original battery, so that might be the issue, but if I remember correctly he's still working on it.

Ive seen a few Polaris's being towed not sure if there owners ashamed or not its like riding a b_g woman they get the job done to 😉
