"It takes too long to learn to live alone." My mom died last 2016. The year where I graduated college and the year I passed my 2 eligibilities. She didn't even got the chance to see me had my licenses, my first job and my first salary. I decided to go and live my own. I moved in and rent an apartment leaving all the memories we had in our house because living there will just make me remember the happy and sad moments we shared. It tears me apart knowing that I no longer see her smile again. It's hard to live alone.

It is SO DIFFICULT to lose someone you love, when parents or a spouse or a child dies, when children leave home, when pets die, and especially if you are left alone to face the world by yourself. Memories can only sustain you so far -- keeping very busy in your mind helps a lot to be able to go on living and cope alone. Please never think you are alone in this situation, there ARE people out there just like you as well as others, who can help you cope of you need to, all you have to do is ask! Never give in to dark feeling!
Good luck to anyone out there who is lonely and trying to cope -- things will get better. If they don't, see a doctor who may find you have a depression that can be helped with medication.

It reminds me of Mom when Dad passed away. You can feel the sadness, she's harboring without Dad by her side. By simply looking at her, you can sense her loneliness of losing someone who's really dear to her. After year, She followed Dad. She never learned to live alone.
My mother never learned to live alone well either, she tried, but she was raised with 4 siblings and after having us 5 kids around and then more time with Daddy after we were gone, but after decades together, I know it was very hard. She lived alone for 12 more years after Daddy died. Loss through death is always very difficult.
Same thing happened to my mom. After a year, she followed my father. It was a very sad feeling losing them and i was left alone to without a family of my own......
