She's a "family metalhead". Her father is a metalhead, and she grew up with hearing metal. She says metal is her comfort music, it reminds her of home.
Oh cool. I was under the impression that she wasn't a metalhead at all. I think it was the love bites video people had mentioned that. I might have misunderstood as well, hahaha.
as a remember i read somewhere, her father is not precisely a metalhead. he is a HUGE music fan and specially rock. not only metal. even punk music as Sex Pistols were in the playlist of his father.
Fami, not only does covers on her channel, but she also does originals too. She has released her own album of originals. "Graduation Day". She has a great voice too. She also has her own signature Bacchus woodline bass guitar. She brings a lot to Lovebites. Songwriting, singing, piano, guitar, & of course bass. So much great stuff on her channel.
In her Lovebites announcement video, which is a joy to watch, she was contemplating about her future with her bass playing. It just go to show that even people who are insanely talented struggle to make a success as a musician.
I showed that announcement video to a friend who lives in Japan. He said he can understand about a third of what she was saying because she is so excited that she talks a mile a second.
@@coffeeninja8128 I believe any competent bass player who was invited to replace Miho, would be equally excited or very close to Fami's level of excitement. 😍

I suppose, that she is even "better" than this (and them), because all of them even want to develop. And Lovebites will neither draw some impostress into their boat, nor fall back into mediocrity. It's not a big deal in the least for me that the audio and video are not the same recording. Recording a video of something that stupid hard is nerve racking to begin with. Having as many subscribers who would see the video, more nerves. The part isn't even played by a person originally, and isn't really meant to be played by a person. That's probably the reason the person who wrote it went so over the top. This video shocked me when we put it up. It got a TON of views really quickly. This video was out on April 27 2023, and shows in my 'Top 3 Viewed Videos' over the last 48 hours every day.
Yesss! Les Claypool was my first thought when she started slapping and strumming. Mind you, that video was made when she was still in High School, at about 16 years old, mindblowing. Thanks for the reaction! It's nice to encounter some reactors who know their music history. Alien Alien" is a song created using Vocaloid, a songwriting software that has the ability to make virtual idols sing. And "Hatsune Miku" is one of those virtual idols, not a real person. Many Vocaloid songs are not intended to be sung or performed by humans at all, so until 2014, when WAGAKKI BAND released a cover album of Vocaloid songs called "Vocalo Zammai," no one actually tried to perform them.
That is really cool to know that Wagakki band was the first. I had known about the Vocaloid's and even researched the software quite a bit. I had wondered earlier if anyone had preformed that bassline before Fami.
Her mucle memory is the secret. It's already on the level when you can play a song with your eyes closed. Of course you need to play the song hundred of times to be able to play like Fami.
For very hard parts like that some musicians will do "Mental Practice" running through all of the positions of the notes in their mind without and instrument. I had read a bunch of stuff on that concept, it's quite interesting.
Her and Miyu from Asterism ( he with a custom made ESP 7 string made only for him at 17 ) are 2 of the most dynamic young bassists. Miyu wanders all over his surfboard like it is nothing. It's ridiculous. She can also write/compose, so the next Lovebites album will be interested with Fami being there from the ground floor, maybe composing songs. To think she had only 3 weeks to lay down the bass lines for the album Judgement Day.
