  • My objective for this channel is to share with others what I have learned over the last 30+ years about living and eating healthier. I share my knowledge with my small circle of friends all the time. I am not a doctor, nor do I hold any type of medical degree, but I believe that my tried experiences may help someone else.
    For over 30 years I have used every diet imaginable to lose weight, but I confess that I am now at home using the vegan lifestyle. I want to share what I have learned about eating and enjoying food. And, since I am still learning how to be more consistent with this lifestyle, I have decided to eat more healthily, realizing the weight will come off eventually. Though I have not reached my goal weight, I know that sharing with other people in front of a camera with help me to stay on course.
    I have, with the help of my husband of 37 years, raised 3 grown children. I will also share some cooking shortcuts as well as some natural formulas I have used and still use for everyday problems.

    This little tool would be perfect for me especially for peeling squash, like summer squash, and a plant. I haven't tried it for potatoes yet, but that is something I'm looking forward to trying. Thank you for this video.

      This tool is so good to have in your kitchen. It will work wonderfully on potatoes. I use it for them a lot. Let me know how it works for you when you get the chance. Thanks for sharing 😊

      Is to bad for small potatoes and you can cut your finger. And blade very fast rust. This is not producet for Victorinox itself but for Rex. Victorinox is only publisher.

    • @bertajay
      @bertajay  3 роки тому +1

      @@smoklares9791 I do NOT use this for small potatoes. I use a paring knife. Try that instead and see if you get better results without cutting yourself.
      My Swiss Knife does have a small amount of rust on it but after every use I wash it with a stainless steel scrub pad. Perhaps we both can look for a Swiss knife that doesn't rust. Not sure where to find such a tool. 🤔

    I first saw this thing on a facebook add. I thought yeah right its that easy and even laughed about all the people buying them. Well my younger Sister was one of those people. She 3 of them gave 1 to Her Daughter and 1 to Her big goofy Brother. I have never peeled things as fast as this and as easy as You did Berta jay. Ladies and Gents this is a kitchen tool You all need. Love the post Berta jay. I am going to subscribe right now.

      Now, Ian, yours is the kind of confirmation about what I have shared that I really love to see. Thank you so much and thank your younger sister for me for making a true believer out of you. Just remember this about my channel. I don't share anything that I haven't used and like. I tell the truth because I have Someone higher than us both to answer to. Thanks so much for sharing. 😊

    It’s called a Swiss peeler , a Swiss knife is very different , it has many gadgets attached to it such as screwdriver , nail clippers , scissors , and will cost you more than 100 $ . This price of the peeler cost around 6 $ .

    I bought one and it just doesn't do the job. I thought maybe I did something wrong, I had to squeeze it then run the peeler down and it did a terrible job. I have the same one, too. Very uncomfortable. Good demo however.

    How do you peel potatoes with that peeler?

    • @bertajay
      @bertajay  5 років тому +1

      Loverleezack, just put the potato in the opposite hand that you put the peeler. Put the peeler in the hand you write with and just pull the blade of the peeler over the potato peel and that should do it for you. I hope that answers your question. Just give it a try...that should work.
