Hi....My name is Suzie. I live in Williamsburg VA..... I want to thank you for all the great recipes & ideas. I cant believe I have been fully whole food plant based for over 3 months now...….I have watched A ton of vegan cooking videos in the last 3 months & have tried so many new recipes.....THANK YOU so much....I watched chef AJ make broccoli tots & started to eat those regularly. I cant wait to try with hash browns & Italian dressing.....I will make a marinara to dip them in. I made insta pot ketsup with dates for my fries this week.....
Loving your channel. Recipes are real, not too complicated or too many ingredients. I had to jmp up and make some with sweet potato. I used frozen chunks of sweet potato. Steamed it for 10 minutes, mashed and when cooled a little made my tots and they are now in the oven, smelling divine. I added cumin and garlic powder. I am totally blind, if I can do this, anyone can x x
Another winner!! And I would love to see the video on the dessert sweet potato tater tots. It sounds so delicious!!! I’m going to make these tomorrow. Thanks, Brittany!
Thank you for the miso tip I’ve never used it and I have been salt free well no added salt and I too have been following drs recommendations and his wife’ Mary’s recipes I suppose more some the 50/50 playe
Thank you! This is so awesome. I just cooked a bunch of sweet potatoes so I'm going to try the sweet potato ones. I have been making sweet potato fries lately and I have found that a dip that goes really really well and tastes amazing with them is a Thai peanut dipping sauce. Basically a mixture of peanut butter (or PB2), rice vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, ginger, garlic and chili flakes. You could probably replace the soy sauce with miso. It's a match made in heaven.
Those look so yummy! I like to use left over baked potatoes and I just shredded them up add spices and form little tator tots and bake. It's also fun to add riced cauliflower or broccoli to the mixture for even more of a nutrient boost.
@@michlass8933 I use chickpea miso too - and I think it's even tastier than the soybean miso. If you want to get the microbiome gut-health benefits of miso, you can't heat it above 115 degrees, just something to keep in mind. Lots of these recipes are just using the miso for the taste. :)
Oh my gosh, I have to try these! My husband has been making regular (oily) tater tot’s and they are so tempting. I appreciate that you included instructions for the air fryer because we just got one. I look forward to your recipe of the sweet version.
you videos & recipes are great! you could also roll your mixture into, a rod or stick shape in plastic wrap , then freeze ,remove plastic & cut to tot size
Oh yum these look amazing! And so do you! I love your new glasses too. Is it my imagination or are you getting even thinner with all these fabulous recipes you're creating? I so look forward to your weekly creations. I've shared your videos with my 2 adults kids (40 & 41) and we all follow you. BTW we loved your first camping trip with compliant whole food, preprepped; you are an inspiration to all WFPB followers. We cheat a bit but not much, mostly because of snacking at night, we try to keep baked potatoes, trail mix or fruit bowls ready but often lapse into organic corn chips, melted vegan cheese and salsa. Do you have any nacho-type substitute? Thanks Brittany for all your videos!
Hi Iris. I tried that recipe as well, the "armadillo tator tots" and I thought they were ok but my partner loved them. I am excited about the tator tots in this vid!
I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and make the tater tots! ... If you buy corn, soy or potatoes, look fo non GMO. (Sweet potatoes are ok, they are not GMO) but corn, soy and potato are crops that are GMO. 🥔🥔🥔❤️
We don.t have hash browns here. Are they basically shredded and blanched and frozen potatoes or just shredded and frozen? Or can i do it with just shredding potatoes?
I just made this with leftover mashed potatoes. Not a huge success unfortunately. The "tots" spread out quite a bit while cooking and didn't keep their shape. I'm thinking maybe the potatoes were too "wet". Any other thoughts?

Sorry to be off topic - I left a question on your blog, but haven't heard back and I can't get an answer via google. Can I sub date syrup when a recipe calls for date paste? If so, is there a volume conversion? Want to make several of yours that call for paste.
Tried the sweet potato tater-tot recipe. They smelled absolutely amazing in the oven but refused to cook all the way 🙁 The moisture was too much even with adding plenty of ground flaxseed and chilling the mix ahead of time.
Maybe you could try adding some starch to them? Or mixing in some of Bob's Red Mill potato flakes. Another thought is if you have a dehydrator, your could spread the sweet potato mash on a sheet and dehydrate it for a few hours.

Yummmm! I love sweet potatoes with Mexican seasonings... Onion powder garlic powder, cumin, chili powder... Yum!
Yes please to the cinnamon version... Sounds delicious. I also appreciate that you have given conventional oven and air fryer. Thanks ☺️
Yes to any videos you want to make ❣️❣️❣️ thank you Brittany :-)

They look so good, especially the sweet potato ones. It'd be great if you did a video on dessert sweet potato tots.

I finally found white miso today! Looking forward to making more of your recipes now. :) Just finished my chocolate Frosty.
I have a couple of hana yams in my fridge. Excellent way to use them!
These look delicious! I’d be interested in the dessert tots too. Love sweet potatoes. 🥰
I have an allergy to soy so I would use Chickpea miso! Another great recipe!
Susan , May I ask how does the chickpea miso taste ? I’ve never had it . Ty

I made the coleslaw, cruciferious, it was yummy.

Nice to have different choices, thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you! They look easy to make and look delicious. You are an inspiration... keep on cooking
Take a look at Bob’s Redmill potato flakes as well. They’re only potatoes. They would work well with the mashed potato method.
i love cascadian farms' hash brown, no oil or salt

I would definitely love to see the dessert tator tot recipe! That sounds so delicious! 😋

Dang, I missed this, last year! How could I?
I'm doing this tomorrow.
Thanks for the video. Can’t wait to try these. Would love to see a dessert sweet potato tot recipe!
I was just looking for a tot recipe! I did engine 2 with hummus and that was good but not really what I was looking for. I’m going to do it!
Hi Iris. I tried that recipe as well, the "armadillo tator tots" and I thought they were ok but my partner loved them. I am excited about the tator tots in this vid!

I've been looking for something like this! Thank you.
Great can't wait to try it out
They look amazing. Definitely going to make these can you please tell me what kind of vitamix blender you have and are you happy with yours?
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Love this!
If you want to make ahead and freeze would you prebake the entire time? How long would you bake from frozen before eating?
Yes plz cinnamon yam tater tots would be aweasome. You go grl
yes, make the sweet tater tot please
my mashed potato ones in the oven were mushy so I transferred them to the air fryer and better results. thx
Mine were too mushy as well. They spread out in the oven. They were more like pancakes. Still tasted good
could you use an ice cream scoop to make the balls - would that be easier
Can this same principle be followed with using cauliflower instead of potatoes?
Have you tried the shredded ones in the air fryer?
Would love to have the sweet version!
We don.t have hash browns here. Are they basically shredded and blanched and frozen potatoes or just shredded and frozen? Or can i do it with just shredding potatoes?
I believe they are shredded potatoes that are then blanched and finally frozen.
Dessert tater tot please..Yum. Thanks
I just made this with leftover mashed potatoes. Not a huge success unfortunately. The "tots" spread out quite a bit while cooking and didn't keep their shape. I'm thinking maybe the potatoes were too "wet". Any other thoughts?
What about using regular miso?
How long do you steam the hash browns?
What brand of white miso??
can you freeze these for later?
Tater Tots were not a feature of my childhood in Britain
As they seem to have been in the USA.
I do like twice cooked potatoes
Boiled / steamed, cooled and then air-fried
So I will be making some
I have some sweet potatoes that need using up
So I will start with those.
Your "dessert sweet potato tater tots" recipe would be interesting
And go with my apple and raisin lasagne as unusual desserts.
Is it okay to use parchment paper in the breville smart oven, I’m thinking not but everything sticks to my air frying rack, thank you
We do it! Just cut the parchment paper to fit

Date syrup is generally thinner, I always recommend making homemade date paste (which is one cup dates pitted blended with one cup water)
@@TheJaroudiFamily Thanks.... was hoping I could use up my big bottle of DateLady syrup.
Would these freeze well
Yes!!🥰
The Jaroudi Family yay great wanna batch cook
Can you air fry these?
yes
@@twelveofthem do you know about the time and temp do make them crispy?
@@annepeterson2668 she has Air Fry instructions in the show notes for each recipe

@@flattlandermontgomery1524 I thought about dehydrating but it was too late for this batch. The flavor is so delicious!
I think my potatoes were too watery. My tots spread out like pancakes. Boo. I still ate them and they were still tasty. I want to try again.
In Australia we can't find no oil, preservative free hash brown, so annoying
Are you in Ohio? Giant eagle!
