do you feel playing chopin, rachmaninoff, & scriabin was emotionless? honestly i could understand bc sometimes just having to be so “to the page” can be draining. however, i would be a bit surprised if you did mean that as their music can be very emotional to me. i assume you just mean w classical training in general, which that i can definitely understand

@@willallegro8935 the composers themselves are nothing short of brilliant, and I love their pieces. I just think getting there, bach standards and czerny slowly dissipated my love over time. Not to say they aren’t helpful, but pieces like this that are short and sweet can prove just as much emotion and heartfelt in the notes
