How safe are the lipo batteries though? On rc forums and videos they keep saying lipos sre not safe and should only be charged with balance chargers and within fireproof bags yet these are shipped with simple usb chargers! Any thoughts?
I get it, the video is 1y old.. But.. just please skip the SCX24 Gladiator (April 2023... I have SCX Deadbolt, SCX Gladiator and a SCX24 XC-1. I swear I gave the Gladiator to my barely 3y old son (he already killed one motor) just to mess with it. It was a WASTE OF MONEY... out of my 3 i own, the deadbolt cleary wins even stock and aftermarket upgrades 100-400$ upgrades (i keep parts rotating around my cars to get the best out of one). People here will tell you it's impressive, but it is not if you can compare. If you can't compare, you asking why TF it keeps flipping over.... just go to a or start with a SCX deadbolt. Even out of the box, the deadbolt just masters everything better than the most SCX24s. I youtube'd a lot and a lot and alot, and I 100% agree to every youtuber who says that's the one. You want an example.... My boy loves to sit down, legs straight and let the RC cars crawl over his thigh. He/I was able to it with the deadbolt, he/I was able to it with the XC-1 but not the gladiator (he tried it today (even with brass weights on the wheels - nope)).
It does. So far I've put 13g of brass in the front and 9g in the rear, I also put the Hot Racing steering links on it. That all helps a lot. The next things I'm putting on next are rock sliders and RC4WD tires/rims.
Just bought one and it was impressive . Throttle response and able to stop on inclines. I am planning on building a course with spray foam inside to keep it clean.
i went online an bought a Panda hobby little truck like this to try something different. took over a month to ship to me straight from China and box showed up beat up so bad and rc is damaged on inside. I should have got my ass off the couch went down to my L.H.S. an bought one of these!
Bought one too, but didn't have a beaten up box, sorry. I think the panda hobby out crawls the scx24's out of the box. Try connecting with panda hobby, they seem pretty decent.

It looks decent. I think it might benefit from weights in the front though to stop the rolling 🤔 great vid!

Should I get the JLU v2, the bronco or the gladiator for my first scx24?
We have only had the gladiator and the Chevy. Between these two I prefer the Gladiator 🍻
