id say that as3 was made for bendelacreme to win - all the challenges besides the talent show required to come up with and portray a character, which is delas main strength, and she was a massively popular, "robbed" queen. when she self-eliminated, shangela became the new winner pick, since she had the second best track record, a large fanbase, and a perfect "from first boot to winner" storyline. and then, when the jury voted her off, i think thats when trixie was chosen as the winner over kennedy. trixie was definitely brought in as a fan-fave, but given how little she was pushed on the season and how often she was sidelined in favor of dela and shangela, i dont think as3 was made for her to win
If they wanted Trixie to win, they could’ve just given her a roast and makeover challenge and it would’ve been two EASY wins. So yeah, it was never built for Trixie, she was just in the right place at the right time
I disagree. Ben became hugely popular AFTER AS3. She had her 2 wins on season 6, then lowkey dissappeared for anyone outside of seattle. She wasn't as present online or touring like shangela or trixie at the time.
Disagree, I think once Ben self eliminated they saw Trixie as the best option due to her established brand and thought crowning her would put her on the fast track to success separate from drag race (it did). There is literally no way they wanted to crown Shangela and then still went ahead with the jury twist. production teams on reality tv are extremely calculated and they know everything, they would’ve checked to see what the outcome of the jury twist would be before implementing it they’re never EVER gonna hand the narrative over so easily like you’re suggesting they did. Especially in that specific era of drag race where picking who was gonna carry the torch of the brand was so important to perpetuating and capitalizing on the success of the show, there’s literally zero way Trixie wasn’t their pick after Ben left.

I convinced my (straight) bf to watch S7 of All Stars with me, and while he absolutely loved the show, he was confused about the wins. I explained to him that it was most likely a question of production 'paying their dues' to two queens who are just EXCEPTIONAL even outside of DR. He loved Jynkx but clearly saw she lost the final lip-sync, and didn't get why Raja was chosen over someone like Trinity. And even he noticed how Yvie was sidelined immediately, which disappointed him.
Thx 4 reporting. Forces us 2 acknowledge AS7 was made 4 already-fans who wanted Jinkx 2 win. It’s such an oddly small section of ppl 2 cater 2. It’s like the show wasn’t trying 2 get new fans, but bring back old fans.

The reason for the double crowning, and I will die on that hill, was optics. 4 white queens winning in a row doesn't look like smth drag race would want. Trinity had 4 wins and was only in the bottom once when half the queens were in the bottom while monet was in the bottom twice with 3 wins. They couldnt just give it to monet cause trinity did that well so they did the double to cover their asses.
It pains me to admit it, but it's true. They should have casted Trinity on AS5 to avoid this. She's a pageant queen who's a beast in a drag race format.
There’s a huge elephant in the room nobody wants to talk about AS4, I think trinity was going to win but they saw the audience reaction to the optics so they had to do it because had it been monet winning there’s no way they would’ve considered trinity for a double crowning.
That's kinda funny cos I've heard rumours that because of her finale performance, production wanted to solo crown monet, but trinity's insane fan reception compared to the other 3 in the top4 caused production to double crown in an attempt to satisfy everyone. Obviously this is not fact, just rumours and speculation so take with a huge pile of salt

I 100% believe Jinkx was pre-determined winner for AS7. Both Bob and Alaska mentioned that they weren't even asked for the season even though they would happily do it. I think this proves there exists a shortlist of queens like any All Star season where production wouldn't mind crowning. They keep Bob and Alaska for another All Winners season since I do believe they're also on this list.

I could see it, but they also did Heidi dirty early on. Maybe she was gonna get given an underdog storyline, but usually there’s some behind the scenes shenanigans when that happens
Heidi absolutely had the potential and the package to win the season but imo given how they paid her dust when absolutely should have won the ball and been in the top for the acting challenge it does seem clear to me that they were planning to keep Kandy till the end and have Jimbo win. And maybe they gave Jaymes some preferential treatment but she broke down on the first episode (and her breakdown was completely removed in the edit) so that plan went out the window pretty immediately.
My conspiracy for AS7 is slightly different. I think they intentionally gave Monet and Jinkx Swish Swish as a finale lip sync. Those two were 100% going to be the finalists even before the season started. It was 100% engineered that Jinkx had the best track record and Monet won the lip sync. They knew Monet would demolish Jinkx in a song with a lengthy Nicki verse. They wanted a controversial ending with a classic "track record vs lip sync" discourse and they got it. We're still talking about it.
If that’s the case I believe they wouldn’t have edited the lip-sync the way they did. Also they’ve been trying very hard to avoid a winner not being well received by the fan since s2 so I don’t think your theory adds up. They just made poor format choices and then had to do damage control

I agree, and I would say that even though Trixie was obviously popping off outside of the drag race world around that time, shangela was just as much if not more. So they would have had every motivation to send her towards the crown.

Idk, I feel like the jury was made to make sure Trixie made it to top 2 or to potentially not set up a winner who won the most. I don't think they wanted Shangela to win at all. They had to have known that jury would make people who were upset that they lost not vote for whoever eliminated them. I think their choice was always Trixie and Dela leaving wouldn't have changed much of their plan.

For UKVTW 1 I understand your reasoning but I feel like Pangina and Jimbo were front runners before they got eliminated. So I feel like production would have crowned them if they made it to the finale - the only reason they didn’t is because of the other competitors.
I think they could've made it to the semi-finals, but they were always going to crown someone from the UK. Like in UKVTW 2, Marina was clearly the strongest queen but they edited the lipsync to not put her in the top 2 and give the crown to Tia - no shade towards Tia tho, that season was amazing and I love her, but production def wanted to give the crown to someone from the UK
7:18 the only other AS8 queens that I think could have gone head to head with Jimbo was Heidi, but they overlooked her so much at the start of the season and then she left the competition.
Regarding the "pre-selected winners of all stars" conspiracy, I've been saying this one for years now. It also fits if the reason All Winners went down the way it did was because each queen was told they would be the winner in advance ("hey __, come back to drag race, you'll win it!") and they got there and found out this was the case.
The only time a spoiler made the show better was when we realized Silky was actually going to win all those lipsyncs. Gooped and Gagged that spoiler was real!
5:11 AS3 was made for DeLa And I believe AS4 was for Manila. And because of the fact that the LSFYL format screwed up their winner pick twice in a row they switched to the Assassin format.

Lowkey I don't think Monet flopped the Into You lipsync, I think people just expect her to be super high energy like that Starships lipsync, but she prioritizes face a lot. I suspect that Into You and Supernova are actually similar (high) quality Money performances, it's just that AS4 needed to more strongly convince the viewer that Monet lost.
I don’t know, for me I think production wouldn’t need to pay monet to flop the lip sync while they can simply edit her to look worse than Valentina. I mean it’s a possibility that they did but for me the editing option seems more simple
Idk, I really don’t like the theories that say x queen didn’t do well in y thing because they were payed off. To my knowledge we don’t have any precedent for them being bribed. In the case of Monet, I’m gonna go with Occam’s Razor and just say she just didn’t do as well as she typically does. It’s not like she never lost a lip sync before that point
If All Stars 3 was rigged for Trixie to win, she would have won the talent show, they would have dunked on Milk way harder for throwing her off, and they wouldn’t have put her in the bottom for the girl group challenge.

Even after a few episodes of AS9 I'm ready to see someone go home. and Untucked is quite boring. It makes sense for an All Winners season, but I'd love to know your thoughts if Allstars transitions into non-eliminations every year.

Imo a non-elimination season works best if I know there's going to be a high caliber of drag every episode, hence why it worked for all winners. I think it could also work if they did all top-5s or something like that, but having girls like Vanjie, Nina, and Jorgeous in every episode is unnecessary lol.

I don't believe any Queens would be offered money to lose a lip sync. That's something which could very easily be proven, and it would permanently damage the enmtire franchise. I DO believe Queens will decide on their own to 'throw' a lip-sync, because it's a strategic move. Regarding AS7, I don't think the Queens were informed Jinxx was going to win. However, based on the challenges, and the talents they're geared toward, they all probably figured out the season leaned in Jinxx's favor.

All stars 3 wasn't made for Trixie because if it was she would have 3 wins (with the girl group) instead i think it was made for Shangela. Since she was given the snatch game winner(which should've been Aja's) and and that Rusical(where it could've been Trixie or Thorgy because Shangela's Mariah was something and plus her lines were written to be funnier than others)
I thought of a crazy twist for All Stars. It's like the Platinum Plunger and Ruby Snippers. But it's a Magic Wand. And the challenge winner can make one queen disappear and not be featured on the next episode. That would be gaggy.

I’m not sure when Ru said it but there’s an interview on a chat show (perhaps Jimmy fallon or Kimmel or something like that) where he’s asked ‘ is there a queen you think should’ve won / deserves a title but never got one.’ Ru answers, ‘SHANGELA’. So maybe this gives credence to those who think all stars 3 was supposed to be for her?!
Regarding the VS the Crown: with a panel of 3 we can’t draw conclusions for the international competitions as a whole. Brook said Rajah is a Canadian winners and they would have crowned anyone outside of Canada, they didn’t really care. IMO it comes from the fact Crave is a smaller company so they already don’t have a big reach, they can always invite queens from other franchises. That being said, it does seem to be a legitimate production decision for the BBC. I heard from brits they’re accustomed to the BBC pulling the “rule Brittania” card and they would have been surprised if they did not. It’s a well oiled machine, they can invite the poster queens for any other shows from the BBC even if it has nothing to do with RPDR. That’s exactly what France TV has been doing: a few weeks ago I was watching the Eurovision and Nicky was commenting. Last week they started the Olympics flame relay: Nicky in drag holding the flame. Commuting to work: Nicky on huge posters in the subway etc etc And to get back to Marina / Tia, now in retrospect it does looks like the BBC and WOW had an unspoken arrangement and it was a calculated move from WOW’s part to get Marina on a bigger stage. I’m not getting the impression WOW put that much value in VSTW, like it’s not “canon”. I still stand by my opinion that the UKVSTW2 edit was so bad it threw oil on the fire though.
All stars 4 was made for a person of color to win. After crowning 3 “blonde” white queens in a row, production kinda needed to crown a non-white queen to save face after there was some controversy over who made up the hall of fame. looking at the cast, there was only 2 white queens and farrah was definitely not gonna win. so i think they kept the double crowning as an option in case trinity won the season. if a queen of color was the clear front runner, then i dont think it wouldve been a double crowning

The real rigging in ASS7 was keeping vivienne out of the top 4 so jinkx could have a clear identity and route to the crown. Viv and jinkx excel in much the same skills so viv would overshadow jinkx as an impersonator and comic (edges she has over Monet). Jinkx would be there as the actress, viv the comic and impersonator, trinity the jack of all, shea the dancer, monet the performer/singer so viv had to be kept out so jinkx vould look like she had a more dominant skillset. Thats why the cut so much of viv out of the edit when the other queens say she smashed challenges where she was barely shown.. imo

Trixie wasn’t the top priority on AS3, it was made for DeLa (there were mostly acting and character-centred challenges) while they kept an eye on Shangela and made sure to never put Bebe in the bottom (the kitty girls challenge for example, Trixie did better than her and could have easily been in the top 2); her being a fan favourite surely guaranteed that she was gonna be in the finale, but it took DeLa quitting and Shangela being voted out for her to win (she never won a top 2 lip sync, ergo she never won a challenge) 2. in vsTW and global all stars i only see US or UK to win cuz they’re more marketable, but i’d add canadian queens to the bunch as well; in UKvsTW 1 i could have seen Jimbo as a possible winner, with Pangina as a runner up to not demolish her reputation 3. for AS4, a pretty common theory is that they wanted to crown a black queen, hence the double crowning, but its suspicious that the double crowning wasn’t filmed if it was planned (where did they find an extra prize of 100k$)
My hot take for AS4 double crowning was that, it was an election time in the US, and white skinny queens have been crowned in AS1, 2,3 and if trinity solo won it would have been a hall of fame full of white blonde skinny queens and it's just a bad look. I'm glad Monet was crowned she deserved it after the lipsync and a great run but I feel like race was a factor for the decision makers in the end to not making trinity win by herself
My problem with theories about the as4 double crowning is that they didn’t film a double crowning when they could have because they’ve done it before. They filmed adore and Bianca winning so why not this time if they intended to?

In AS4 the production originally wanted both Manila and Latrice (asian and black) to win for the sake of AS1 'Synergy' Rudemption story line and to break the curse of crowning only white and blonde winners for the last 3 seasons. Since Manila was eliminated by Naomi and Latrice underperformed with poor track record throughout the season, they decided to scrap the idea at last minute and will crown a black queen with best track record by episode 8 (either Monet or Monique). Unfortunately Naomi had no chance of winning the crown with one win and also because she eliminated the most beloved front runner of the season. Her winning might angered the fan base. By episode 9 Trinity unexpectedly won her 4th win and had the best track record of all of them, they just decided to give the crown to her at the end. However by crowning Trinity it will tarnish the series reputation when people will think that the production is racist that they only do crown white and blonde winners. By not crowning her meant that she was robbed in the fans eyes when she truly deserved the crown. It's a both lose lose situation -- they may have noticed this only after post production and it's already too late by that time to cover the mistake. For that reason they may have decided to crown a black queen as the another winner before airing of the finale as it was unplanned. Also double crowning was also not filmed which confirmed the tea that only Trinity was the chosen winner of the season. Monet was in the bottom two / three twice and already she lost as contender to win the crown in the penultimate episode. During LOGO + VH1 era no winner has been in the bottom TWO more than once. The only one to beat Trinity for the crown was Monique with only one bottom two by that point. Although I think Monique deserved it more than Monet due to track record but Monet definitely ate it the finale. But since Monet was in the final two along Trinity and her crowning was already recorded they just gave the second crown her just to avoid backlash from the fans. Hence Monet was the 'collateral' winner.
AS6's winner was heavily dependant on the outcome of S13. Some other UA-camr (or maybe even this one) said that the AS season had themes, and AS6's theme was redemption for the contestants, but also Ru's redemption. He had one too many "scandals" (they weren't really scandals but things were being said) about his transphobia or even how the show was anti black and all that. Both S13 and AS6 had a black and a trans contestant in the finale. I believe production's idea was to crown both, a black and a trans winner. So depending on the outcome in season 13, which was a black winner, AS6 chose its own winner, who was the trans winner. So while the season didn't have a set picked winner, it was heavily produced to get the trans contestant and black contestants to the finale (Rajah and/or Trinity). Just look at the edit on Kylie's lipsync, that fall was either win or lose situation and they decided to amp it up to make it a stunt, because she was the picked winner at that point.
People always forget Ongina was on AS5... I think when they cast her she was totally seen as a viable crowning option (similar to Adore and Heidi tbh).

I think your forgetting about Ben on All-Stars season three. If that season was made for Trixie to win, she certainly wasn’t going to unless Ben self eliminated. I think it was one of the few times Ru and the producers were actually gagged by something that happened because it was not something they orchestrated. id say that as3 was made for bendelacreme to win - all the challenges besides the talent show required to come up with and portray a character, which is delas main strength, and she was a massively popular, "robbed" queen.
when she self-eliminated, shangela became the new winner pick, since she had the second best track record, a large fanbase, and a perfect "from first boot to winner" storyline. and then, when the jury voted her off, i think thats when trixie was chosen as the winner over kennedy.
trixie was definitely brought in as a fan-fave, but given how little she was pushed on the season and how often she was sidelined in favor of dela and shangela, i dont think as3 was made for her to win

If they wanted Trixie to win, they could’ve just given her a roast and makeover challenge and it would’ve been two EASY wins. So yeah, it was never built for Trixie, she was just in the right place at the right time
I disagree. Ben became hugely popular AFTER AS3. She had her 2 wins on season 6, then lowkey dissappeared for anyone outside of seattle. She wasn't as present online or touring like shangela or trixie at the time.
Disagree, I think once Ben self eliminated they saw Trixie as the best option due to her established brand and thought crowning her would put her on the fast track to success separate from drag race (it did). There is literally no way they wanted to crown Shangela and then still went ahead with the jury twist. production teams on reality tv are extremely calculated and they know everything, they would’ve checked to see what the outcome of the jury twist would be before implementing it they’re never EVER gonna hand the narrative over so easily like you’re suggesting they did. Especially in that specific era of drag race where picking who was gonna carry the torch of the brand was so important to perpetuating and capitalizing on the success of the show, there’s literally zero way Trixie wasn’t their pick after Ben left.

I convinced my (straight) bf to watch S7 of All Stars with me, and while he absolutely loved the show, he was confused about the wins. I explained to him that it was most likely a question of production 'paying their dues' to two queens who are just EXCEPTIONAL even outside of DR. He loved Jynkx but clearly saw she lost the final lip-sync, and didn't get why Raja was chosen over someone like Trinity. And even he noticed how Yvie was sidelined immediately, which disappointed him.

The reason for the double crowning, and I will die on that hill, was optics. 4 white queens winning in a row doesn't look like smth drag race would want. Trinity had 4 wins and was only in the bottom once when half the queens were in the bottom while monet was in the bottom twice with 3 wins. They couldnt just give it to monet cause trinity did that well so they did the double to cover their asses.

There’s a huge elephant in the room nobody wants to talk about AS4, I think trinity was going to win but they saw the audience reaction to the optics so they had to do it because had it been monet winning there’s no way they would’ve considered trinity for a double crowning.
That's kinda funny cos I've heard rumours that because of her finale performance, production wanted to solo crown monet, but trinity's insane fan reception compared to the other 3 in the top4 caused production to double crown in an attempt to satisfy everyone. I 100% believe Jinkx was pre-determined winner for AS7. Both Bob and Alaska mentioned that they weren't even asked for the season even though they would happily do it. I think this proves there exists a shortlist of queens like any All Star season where production wouldn't mind crowning. They keep Bob and Alaska for another All Winners season since I do believe they're also on this list.

Heidi absolutely had the potential and the package to win the season but imo given how they paid her dust when absolutely should have won the ball and been in the top for the acting challenge it does seem clear to me that they were planning to keep Kandy till the end and have Jimbo win. And maybe they gave Jaymes some preferential treatment but she broke down on the first episode (and her breakdown was completely removed in the edit) so that plan went out the window pretty immediately.
Watching Jimbo made me tune in to other countries' versions of RPDR, something I'd lacked any interest in doing before.
My conspiracy for AS7 is slightly different. I think they intentionally gave Monet and Jinkx Swish Swish as a finale lip sync. Those two were 100% going to be the finalists even before the season started. It was 100% engineered that Jinkx had the best track record and Monet won the lip sync. They knew Monet would demolish Jinkx in a song with a lengthy Nicki verse. They wanted a controversial ending with a classic "track record vs lip sync" discourse and they got it. We're still talking about it.
If that’s the case I believe they wouldn’t have edited the lip-sync the way they did. Also they’ve been trying very hard to avoid a winner not being well received by the fan since s2 so I don’t think your theory adds up. They just made poor format choices and then had to do damage control

For UKVTW 1 I understand your reasoning but I feel like Pangina and Jimbo were front runners before they got eliminated. So I feel like production would have crowned them if they made it to the finale - the only reason they didn’t is because of the other competitors.

Like in UKVTW 2, Marina was clearly the strongest queen but they edited the lipsync to not put her in the top 2 and give the crown to Tia - no shade towards Tia tho, that season was amazing and I love her, but production def wanted to give the crown to someone from the UK

Regarding the "pre-selected winners of all stars" conspiracy, I've been saying this one for years now. It also fits if the reason All Winners went down the way it did was because each queen was told they would be the winner in advance ("hey __, come back to drag race, you'll win it!") and they got there and found out this was the case.

I don't believe any Queens would be offered money to lose a lip sync. That's something which could very easily be proven, and it would permanently damage the enmtire franchise. I DO believe Queens will decide on their own to 'throw' a lip-sync, because it's a strategic move.
Regarding AS7, I don't think the Queens were informed Jinxx was going to win. However, based on the challenges, and the talents they're geared toward, they all probably figured out the season leaned in Jinxx's favor.

I’m not sure when Ru said it but there’s an interview on a chat show (perhaps Jimmy fallon or Kimmel or something like that) where he’s asked ‘ is there a queen you think should’ve won / deserves a title but never got one.’ Ru answers, ‘SHANGELA’. So maybe this gives credence to those who think all stars 3 was supposed to be for her?!
Regarding the VS the Crown: with a panel of 3 we can’t draw conclusions for the international competitions as a whole. Brook said Rajah is a Canadian winners and they would have crowned anyone outside of Canada, they didn’t really care. IMO it comes from the fact Crave is a smaller company so they already don’t have a big reach, they can always invite queens from other franchises.
That being said, it does seem to be a legitimate production decision for the BBC. I heard from brits they’re accustomed to the BBC pulling the “rule Brittania” card and they would have been surprised if they did not. It’s a well oiled machine, they can invite the poster queens for any other shows from the BBC even if it has nothing to do with RPDR. That’s exactly what France TV has been doing: a few weeks ago I was watching the Eurovision and Nicky was commenting. Last week they started the Olympics flame relay: Nicky in drag holding the flame. Commuting to work: Nicky on huge posters in the subway etc etc
And to get back to Marina / Tia, now in retrospect it does looks like the BBC and WOW had an unspoken arrangement and it was a calculated move from WOW’s part to get Marina on a bigger stage. I’m not getting the impression WOW put that much value in VSTW, like it’s not “canon”.
I still stand by my opinion that the UKVSTW2 edit was so bad it threw oil on the fire though.

After crowning 3 “blonde” white queens in a row, production kinda needed to crown a non-white queen to save face after there was some controversy over who made up the hall of fame. looking at the cast, there was only 2 white queens and farrah was definitely not gonna win. so i think they kept the double crowning as an option in case trinity won the season. if a queen of color was the clear front runner, then i dont think it wouldve been a double crowning

The real rigging in ASS7 was keeping vivienne out of the top 4 so jinkx could have a clear identity and route to the crown. Viv and jinkx excel in much the same skills so viv would overshadow jinkx as an impersonator and comic (edges she has over Monet). Jinkx would be there as the actress, viv the comic and impersonator, trinity the jack of all, shea the dancer, monet the performer/singer so viv had to be kept out so jinkx vould look like she had a more dominant skillset. Thats why the cut so much of viv out of the edit when the other queens say she smashed challenges where she was barely shown.. imo

Trixie wasn’t the top priority on AS3, it was made for DeLa (there were mostly acting and character-centred challenges) while they kept an eye on Shangela and made sure to never put Bebe in the bottom (the kitty girls challenge for example, Trixie did better than her and could have easily been in the top 2); her being a fan favourite surely guaranteed that she was gonna be in the finale, but it took DeLa quitting and Shangela being voted out for her to win (she never won a top 2 lip sync, ergo she never won a challenge)
2. in vsTW and global all stars i only see US or UK to win cuz they’re more marketable, but i’d add canadian queens to the bunch as well; in UKvsTW 1 i could have seen Jimbo as a possible winner, with Pangina as a runner up to not demolish her reputation
3. for AS4, a pretty common theory is that they wanted to crown a black queen, hence the double crowning, but its suspicious that the double crowning wasn’t filmed if it was planned (where did they find an extra prize of 100k$)
My hot take for AS4 double crowning was that, it was an election time in the US, and white skinny queens have been crowned in AS1, 2,3 and if trinity solo won it would have been a hall of fame full of white blonde skinny queens and it's just a bad look. I'm glad Monet was crowned she deserved it after the lipsync and a great run but I feel like race was a factor for the decision makers in the end to not making trinity win by herself

My problem with theories about the as4 double crowning is that they didn’t film a double crowning when they could have because they’ve done it before. They filmed adore and Bianca winning so why not this time if they intended to?

In AS4 the production originally wanted both Manila and Latrice (asian and black) to win for the sake of AS1 'Synergy' Rudemption story line and to break the curse of crowning only white and blonde winners for the last 3 seasons. Since Manila was eliminated by Naomi and Latrice underperformed with poor track record throughout the season, they decided to scrap the idea at last minute and will crown a black queen with best track record by episode 8 (either Monet or Monique). Unfortunately Naomi had no chance of winning the crown with one win and also because she eliminated the most beloved front runner of the season. Her winning might angered the fan base. By episode 9 Trinity unexpectedly won her 4th win and had the best track record of all of them, they just decided to give the crown to her at the end.
However by crowning Trinity it will tarnish the series reputation when people will think that the production is racist that they only do crown white and blonde winners. By not crowning her meant that she was robbed in the fans eyes when she truly deserved the crown. It's a both lose lose situation -- they may have noticed this only after post production and it's already too late by that time to cover the mistake. For that reason they may have decided to crown a black queen as the another winner before airing of the finale as it was unplanned. Also double crowning was also not filmed which confirmed the tea that only Trinity was the chosen winner of the season.
Monet was in the bottom two / three twice and already she lost as contender to win the crown in the penultimate episode. During LOGO + VH1 era no winner has been in the bottom TWO more than once. The only one to beat Trinity for the crown was Monique with only one bottom two by that point. Although I think Monique deserved it more than Monet due to track record but Monet definitely ate it the finale. But since Monet was in the final two along Trinity and her crowning was already recorded they just gave the second crown her just to avoid backlash from the fans. Hence Monet was the 'collateral' winner.

AS6's winner was heavily dependant on the outcome of S13.
Some other UA-camr (or maybe even this one) said that the AS season had themes, and AS6's theme was redemption for the contestants, but also Ru's redemption. He had one too many "scandals" (they weren't really scandals but things were being said) about his transphobia or even how the show was anti black and all that.
Both S13 and AS6 had a black and a trans contestant in the finale. I believe production's idea was to crown both, a black and a trans winner. So depending on the outcome in season 13, which was a black winner, AS6 chose its own winner, who was the trans winner.
So while the season didn't have a set picked winner, it was heavily produced to get the trans contestant and black contestants to the finale (Rajah and/or Trinity).
Just look at the edit on Kylie's lipsync, that fall was either win or lose situation and they decided to amp it up to make it a stunt, because she was the picked winner at that point.

I think your forgetting about Ben on All-Stars season three. If that season was made for Trixie to win, she certainly wasn’t going to unless Ben self eliminated. I think it was one of the few times Ru and the producers were actually gagged by something that happened because it was not something they orchestrated.
