I was actually surprised by the end result, it actually blends all together nicely and it also looks like kpop makeup minus the fake lash, definitely enjoyed watching it cuz I also miss the mystery advent calendar series ❤️❤️❤️

I feel like unless you spent over £60 on a mystery makeup box, you’re gonna get bad brands. I went to Superdrug yesterday and bought a L’Oréal liquid highlighter, a collection lasting perfection concealer and a Rimmel lipstick and it came to £20 😂
Unless it’s an all ‘collection’ box. Collection makeup is cheaper but actually good.
I wish there were some more expensive ones on there! i feel like all the makeup ones are affordable and they end up being like this haha ❤

I took a makeup course in university and it totally sold me on cream contour for exactly the reasons you were saying! It blends nicer, seems more natural and I find the colors are better for my skin tone (I'm also one shade from being a ghost😅)

I am pretty sure you can get something similar to a mystery box for outfits, I watched another UA-camr do one a while back. It's a quiz and you get a personal shopper and they pick things based on your style or you can ask to be surprised. It was really cool to see what they got.

Really enjoyed this Soph! I had high hopes for this makeup because the contour palette worked really well, like you said though, it all went downhill from there! I think you did a good job with your brows though and, considering the poor quality of the products, the finished look was quite good. I hope your poor eyes are okay! 💗

Yaaay! I love these videos they are so much fun to watch. I have an eyeshadow similar to the white one from the palette and it’s good as an eyeshadow topper or for festivals but it works better with a primer for shimmer.

I find it soo much easier to put the lash glue only lash line rather than the fake lash itself then stick it on. Maybe give that a go, I think you'll get the hang of it then xx
They did an alright job, I think I'd've liked for the lip stuff to be more same colour and for there to be more colour in the eyeshadow, but yeah, not to bad

Could you do a full face using the products in the order you pull them out? Ie if you pull lipstick out first you have to use it as foundation/concealer (or maybe you could use the mystery wheel thing as you’d have an idea of what the products are if you could feel them)

Best mystery box I’ve had is from beauty box by Tammy. All of the products that came in the boxes were brands I knew of and it didn’t feel like someone dumping the makeup they didn’t want!

I'm sure some of us subscribers could put together boxes with recognizable brands of real makeup instead of kids makeup or super old makeup and we could do it within a set budget. Or maybe Alex could buy a mystery box of products a subscriber picks out, that way its still a surprise for you but still a mystery box picked out by people that actually watch you. Another idea is to have Soph or Jazzy send you a mystery box of makeup that they picked out, it could be a cool collab!

The actual Maybelline mascara that looks like that is my favorite mascara. It's not great for volume but it lengthens like no other and separates lashes. I like it so much.
Loved this what a difference fake lashes made to the whole look really finished it off 💛

hey soph, thanks for the lovely video, hope you are doing well x Have you ever tried trimming lashes down by a couple segments? may really help you get them on and suit your eye, i have to cut all mine! or have you tried cutting them completly in half and just doing the outer? hope you see this, lots of love x

I think the mystery boxes are always going to be cheaper make up brands or just makeup someone is clearing out of their collection but it's fun to see you have to challenge yourself to make a good look from it! I love these kind of videos. I will say though soph with your eyeshadow, if you keep blending you will get better results xx

I did a little digging as I'm a nosey moo aha, and it looks as though the products are from a makeup wholesaler. The unicorn palette and mascara are £1.08 each and the brow things a fiver! 😟🙈

The Maybelline mascara is sold in like every drug store in the US. You can even find it at Walmart. I'm sure you have a real product, and it works well for the price.
I used to see commercials on TV for that Max Factor X brand.. That was quite a long time ago. I'm pretty sure that company is defunct.

I've been here since day one and seeing how far you've come with your makeup especially makes me so so happy!
I used to struggle with my lashes all the time, I then learned not to cut the lashes so short and to bring the lash band into the inner corner a lot more, since I nailed that I can't live without my lashes!
