И после этого, аисты считаются символом семейного счастья и появления в семье малышей, верности, преданности и родительской любви, и что птица всегда живет в паре и разделяет заботы о птенцах???
I totaly lost interest in the protection of this species. Extinction is underrated.
Poor baby. It seems like if it's not the 1st 3, it's chances of being killed by parents are likely.😞😢
Sa fait mal au cœur de voir sa 😢😢😢
These birds are the worst birds ever! Evil as hell
If you read the description...this chick survived and went to a rehabilitation center.
Izkierka... which means "Little Spark", "Sparky", or "Sparklet".
......and grew up to take revenge on it's siblings for being mean and it's parent for tossing it out of the nest.
Anyone notice the siblings got real quiet after that thud.
Storks are absolutely the worst parents. We all know that if there isn't enough food or the youngest chick is too small to push past it's siblings to get the food that is delivered, it will die. But stork parents don't just benignly neglect the smallest when food is scarce, they cold-bloodedly decide that one will die, and not even always the smallest. I've seen storklets yeeted from the nest for simply asking for food by tapping Mom's bill. And they don't JUST chuck them from the nest, they peck them, haul them up in their beak by the neck and strangle them, crush their bellies etc before FINALLY tossing them out of the nest. That's beyond nature's hard-but-fair rules, that's outright cruel to your own young.
I know you're serious when talking about what has occurred in the video but I can't help but chuckle that between all the seriousness you say: "Yeeted", it's so funny
@@Ghostlyslime Heheh no worries. I think I used it deliberately to evoke an image of how fast and brutally they can grab and toss a young storklet out of the nest, and didn't want to repeat the same words doing so.
stop humanizing wild animals, they don't know how to put a deadly injection or what humanely euthanize is, this is in the wild
Hey, come on. Often they eat them alive as well. Birds are creepy.
Agree to disagree. I think human parents that choose to keep downs and tarded babies are the worst parents in nature. Selfish.
They don't just kill them they torture them first. This is like the 4th video I've seen where instead of just tossing them over the edge they let them dangle before doing them in. Evil f'n birds
I agree 💩parents
Think they are just teaching the other chicks which one to kill if they become parents...
Teaching takes a while you know lol.

they only have beaks… try doing anything with just your mouth.
Everyone: "storks are not evil, they are just animals and this is survival"
Stork: *drops chick, goes down and picks him back up to the nest, and drops him again*
Stork: *turns slowly towards the camera*
"I'll do it again *HYUCK* " -Stork
Right? She didn't just throw him out; she came back up with blood on her beak at 10:40. She could've just dropped him and said "Nothin' personal, kid." But no. She went down there to finish the job.
I guess storks don't like counting to four.
@therealbahamut The baby was attacking the brood and the mother gave multiple punishments.
She finished him off so predators would be enticed to get the others
@@thathungrypanda4386 Funny you say that as this one was the second video of its kind I've seen and both videos had one thing in common....The tossed baby before hand kept pecking at their siblings and seems that might be the main reason they get tossed. To protect the others when one baby is aggressive for no real reason
@@therealbahamut oh god, maybe she rushed down to kill the chick because that would have been more merciful than if it had died below in agony from broken bones and internal organs for a long time. Animals have no idea that someone can pick up a chick to care, because only we, humanity, do it.
By the way, somewhere there was a broadcast channel from a nest in Ukraine, where the storks managed to feed all 5 chicks approximately equally. Unfortunately, the broadcast was stopped due to the recommendations of the security service to turn off online cameras in Ukraine, but the last recording clearly shows all 5 healthy chicks same size, the channel now posts regular videos . From this we can conclude that in other more urbanized countries of Europe, storks simply do not have to found enough food to feed all the chicks
This is a sad life. Looks likes he know he will get pick. Next life time don't ever born to be a Stork again...
So disturbing! The mom is just staring for like a minute at the chick she tortured… and its almost as if the chick is trying to play dead so mother will leave it alone
Ma don't take me, look how tough I am, watch me peck on my larger siblings, I'm stronger than they are! C'mon Ma, please don't hurt me please don't toss me outta my nest STOP MA STOP
you've had your chance. If only you listened to me when I told you to eat your frogs.

Nature is cruel, because the chick is the weakest, and the stronger ones must be fed as a guarantee for the survival of the species. Plus, this is where the stories about the stork bringing babies come from - it's the sound of fallen weak chicks or their corpses that died of hunger because they couldn't get food for themselves
The honesty of nature fills me with joy brilliant stuff
they call it the rule of fours.
Someone should just go and "steal" the smallest stork at a certain time of their nest growing. Raise it in captivity togehter with other small taken stork chicks til they grow old enough to be released into the wild.
But hey, i don't know.
Then they would just kill the next smallest one.
Естественный отбор в деле!
I guess that insistent feeders exhaust the mother once the babies are eating over a certain amount. That probably triggers this behavior. You could test it by having easy food within reach, or feeding some of the chicks on the sly, and seeing if the weakling still gets dumped from the nest. Easier to pitch the smallest over the side.
Plus it's a lot more fun
That chick wasn’t too much smaller than the next smallest, so I can assume all 4 hatched different days. It doesn’t look sick, or weak. I wonder if food became an issue. I just watched a stork nest with 6 chicks, which is more than I’ve ever seen in a stork nest, and the mother ate the smallest one, but it was MUCH smaller. I always wonder, but I guess nature will be nature.
I think she maybe did it because the little one was agressive...
@@chlopca a lot of nests if you watch the bigger ones are much more aggressive and end up killing the smaller ones. I’m just overly curious about something I’ll never fully understand.
💩 parents
Probably a combination of food for the rest and it being the smallest
I agree with _'p chlop'_ in that the chick was super aggressive. This is the second video I've seen of chicks being evicted because they're aggressive. Watch it? It pecks at the others. In the other video it was constantly attacking the others and the mother put it outside to cool off then it came back and repeated what it was doing and got kicked out.

Evil parents, very cruel.
Torturing their chicks. They have a right to live even if food are scarse.Cannot compare with Benjamin's parents (Stork family) where they kept some fish for him in their beak separately for him.
@@chinsiewtow7678 In nature no creature has a right to live. Animals have no morals to answer to.
As I pointed out upthread the chick was rescued.
I think it's so wonderful how the stork babies come together to protect the smallest of their sibling that Mom targets... U can clearly see in this video how they continuously tried to shield it with their bodies
once pointed out will never be spared as observed, but if all big chiks are hiden away for while and rejected chik is kept on nest will parents accept, please try
So beautiful video~
Is this another video of stork killing their young
You can see it was biting attacking the other birds, she was disciplining it. Removed it from the others to see if it would stop.

Brutal! Threw the baby out and you can hear it hit something below. Poor thing. 😞
Why they don’t broke the egg
At least he would’ve been able to fly away and start a new life
She throws it over the edge and then flies down to kill it?
storks are like na zis.
Why these stork parents do such unkind thing always. I am sad 😢😢. Murderers ☹️
Lol, after dropping the chick to the ground, the mother flies to it to make sure she killed it?
Great idea to do the same to my neighbor. 🤔
He was targeted for termination.
Can someone explain to me ,why the mom didn't want the youngest one? I am so upset about it
Storks are known birds to kill their offspring because of food scarcity. They do this to be able to feed the storklet with best chance of surviving. They are also known for killing their offspring for no reason.
💩 parents
Even sometimes try to kill one of them and then stop for some reason. Why would bother trying to kill it and then leave it, potentially injured and small.
The stork simply didn't get childsupport.💶💸💴

Os canários estão em uma gaiola e graças a você não estão com fome. As cegonhas são aves livres. Na natureza há fome, frio. É mais difícil para eles sobreviverem.
Maybe if she spent more time gathering food and less time figuring out which chick to throw out of the nest, she wouldn't have this problem.

🤔The irony is that our first year they told us that Storks brings the babies. Bullshits😡.
Lol, indeed. Bring babies? They kill them.
I tell you guys something satisfying. I can’t save that bird for you guys lol but I will give you something to offset your anger a bit.
Type in stork and jackal. I am sure it will bring some peace to you.
Thus is nature people. They are the parental pokemon. (Wait thats a kangaskhan) do continue. Anyways nothing DESERVES to die. But thats the animal kingdom, be it death by parent or death by disease, or death by enemies, the weakest is doomed..always.
Okay I'm gonna lay this out.
I am a birdwatcher, and though I don't have a degree backing up what I say, this is actually a common practice for larger bird species that nest.
The reason I've assumed is because larger birds are often high ranking predators on the food chain, so they need to have a certain level of maturity and respect for the world they live in. As you will often see in these videos, I beleive the mother is noticing that the child it plans on throwing out of the nest has a behavioral issue. They often peck, are annoying, immature or unkind. Even to the point of fighting back against their own parent.
As some have mentioned, I don't think they are "torturing" the child. They are trying to prod it to judge it's reaction. And often they find a hostile and aggressive response from the child, which leads them to believe that perhaps the baby stork does not have the cunning and respect it takes to be a large predator. So instead, they kill them so that one day they don't make these mistakes as an adult.
I am not an ornithologist. Perhaps my assumptions are immature and naive. I think that the chick thus makes it clear that he is strong, he can stand up for himself no worse than older brothers and sisters. But the parent decided otherwise ...
I agree with Gals regarding this episode . I am no Opthalmologist either, but this poor chick was clearly targeted for merely being the last born of this gaggle.
The only time you will see aggressive behavior in a storklet is if the parent tries removing it. It pecks and bites it's siblings to provoke them into moving around, making it more difficult for the mother to grab it. Storks are a non-competitive species, which means they don't engage in siblicide. When food becomes scarce, the mother has the responsibility of removing the smallest/weakest of the brood to conserve resources. At this point her survival instincts will begin conflicting with her nuturing duties, which is why it's not a quick process, until the storklet is finally removed.
@@Nature-lm7ul*ornithologist
It seems these are not very smart birds, instinctive yes, but not smart. They know what they're doing when thinning the family, but they'll go at it for awhile torturing the chosen one, (as someone else noted) then suddenly stop as if they forgot what they were doing. Then they restart the process and just seem to drag it out. Sometimes the older ones get involved and they do that sort of ritual where they rear their heads back clapping the beak. I guess the whole family participates in a way at times. And then the ones that get eaten if they're small enough....tough species to be born into!
Evil parents。The chick has every right to live. Storks are evil, torturing their selected chicks to death. Cannot compa 4
Chick usually fight other when attacked by stork.
Why?
I think he wants to show that he is strong and should stay in the nest.
@@gals6353 yes i think like this. Stork is very Sharp and hurt. Chick storklet shows us about sudden habit

I HATE mothers habit, thizz look in her paranoid eyes
I swear storks just have intense generational and childhood trauma after witnessing their parents do this, and so they continue the cycle, they don't even know why they're doing it anymore. Or they're just teaching the lucky unchosens how to kill their offspring in the future
Little booger keeps resisting and trying to get back into the nest.. give him credit at least for that. 🤣
Btw, 10:06 is when the money shot takes place.
Why this little storklet flushed out anger on its siblings whenever the adult touched him
I have seen this in other nests as well.
Perhaps the chick wants to show that he is no weaker than his brothers and sisters.
But that's just my opinion. I have't come across any other explanations.
@@gals6353 thanks! Yes this behaviour are sometimes seen in other nests too. (Adding: including in some human behaviour). What i could think of is these birds are still immature physically (vision) and mentally. Well can animal hardly be called mature in mentality as human. I dont know. Yet to find out...
@@miredo We do not know much, but we are trying to do it.
I think the 4th storklet attacked it's siblings because it sustained neurological damage from when the parent was pecking and grabbing it. With its usual brain functioning damaged it would have been unable to recognise it's surroundings and only having primitive behaviour left
Itumah ibu tiri
The mother was hardening her heart before doing it. It was like, I have to do it. Did anyone notice the wings of a dead fledgling under the weak one as he tries to hide? The mother is in a quarry due to shortage of food. I think birds prefer giving their young a quicker death than a slow one.
