That's some awesome work jake....what a stunning case of point's to own. As an English knapper i just want to say thanks for taking the time to make these posts of your skill. They really help trust me!! Your work is some of the most ' polished' for sure. Please can you maybe do some close-ups of your finished pieces so we get an idea of the flake scars and pressure work on them as that would also help....and show us your four legged friend😂
I have some raw chunks I need to heat, I actually made a video spalling some coral that I’ll post on Monday! I’m sure I could part with a couple once I get them heated
Beautiful work as usual .I love to watch you work a peace of rock. You explain it so we'll. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for those kind words!

Sure!! Thank you I’m so glad folks are enjoying these videos. In my latest video I actually showed my dog on camera! (20-minute challenge)
Beautiful work! Does the coral work similar to other cherts? I didn't pick up on you preparing the platforms any differently .
Every material is different in its own way, but yes it works similar to other cherts!
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you!
Gorgeous. Where do you get your cases?
Hatchett creek cases!
@@GulfCoastKnapping thank you
Very nice work.
Thank you!
Awesome point
Thanks!
Is filing your pressure flaker better than hammering the point of the flaker ?
I assume both would work fine, if I had an anvil I think I’d use it quite often but I don’t
so as a knapper, can you make a video showing how to tell a modern made point from one that was made 5000 years ago?
Great idea, I’ll jot that down for a future video
Do you have anymore material from him? I'd gladly trade something for some of that rock the next time we meet.

@@GulfCoastKnapping alright! Are you coming to the knap in on the 24th? If so I can bring some stuff there to trade
@@coltonkizziah-lc5pu ahhh is it this Saturday? I can make it this week, too busy at work. I’ll have to catch you next time we go rock hunting
@@GulfCoastKnapping alright then!
