Everything related to lost woods, kokiri forest or the flow of time and reality of that amazing game was simply mindblowing and melancholic...now Im 31yo and that bso still give me chills....
OST ocarina was peak in my opinion, the story, and how it played out, a little boi in a green tunic out of everyone else is chosen by their “father” the deku tree. And he goes out on an adventure to save a princess, seek out the triforce. Everything about that story made me fall in love with the game. The OST just made me love it even more.
I have to hand it to OoT it really was one of the best. The music was golden in terms of how it made us feel. Saria's song, Epona's song, and Serenade of Water. Hell even the song of time a song that I still don't really like I can honestly say is still good.
No, because we tend to think that "the less I know, the better" I honestly am okay with the present, looking back to my precious memories is a gift, never a way to feel bad. We can't hide from reality, we just didn't use to focus on it.
You heard it in the distance. And from there, your followed it and stumbled across an abandoned area where what seemed to be a charming little festival once took place in. But it's been years, possibly decades, since then. The decorations being withered away by nature, the little sheltered area having it's structure torn away. Broken, rotting wood.. bent, rusty metal poles. And dented megaphones and speakers. Once a festive and cheery theme, even that has been withered and tainted into this solemn, almost haunting song. Somehow.. it's still playing.. Busted tables with silverware still there. Rusting. The table cloths ripped up and stained. It was so.. empty. It made *you, yourself,* feel empty. You walked away at a quickened pace. For whatever reason, that little area, that song... it seemed so familiar... ...but why? (There's something wrong with me and writing stories help)
Once upon a time there was a sea sponge who lived in a pineapple at Bikini Attol in the Pacific. He lived besides a common octopus and starfish. One day the sponge moved outside of the pineapple home to find a large sunken barrel. There, a large red crab clipped his pincers and scuttled inside the object. The sponge knew it was time to collect algae to give to passing fish, in return not to be eaten. However, often, zooplankton would come to snatch the food to consume. The red crab became angered at these inevitable situations, yet simply accepted them. The octopus that lived besides the sponge's house came to help collect algae too, as yellow snappers and moorish idols ate the plants. The crab, sponge and octopus were pleased to not be eaten alive. Then, one day, the sea sponge's snail companion began to move slowly outwards from the pineapple grotto, to the deeper sea. The sponge, along with the starfish, followed the snail to retrieve it. Unfortunately, the snail climbed over a glass globe with a suffocating red squirrel within it. The rodent tried to breathe, but died in the process. The snail was followed by the 2 mollusks, yet then a huge shadow came, belonging to a great fish. The fish scooped up the snail in it's mouth, and ate it. The reef shark swam past the sponge and starfish casually, have eaten well. The shark swam away, never to be seen again. RIP Gary.

Her face man, Saria's expression of sorrow will never go away even after visiting her and chatting with her a bit using the ocarina from time to time. This game alone just feels like an actual world to jump in and engage in, and that doesn't happen often with most games out today except Elden Ring since that game felt like another world also!
I keep having these backrooms/liminal space dreams that are calming, but unnerving at the same time. And when I listen to this song, I can remember these dreams so clearly...

bruh it's so damn nostalgic.. I remember my childhood, when I first discovered fnaf these 10 years ago, when I was 6 and play with my older brother minecraft and Dota. It makes me sad.
Makes me think of that Wonderland I went to as a kid! It was this kind of music where we walked under the hot sun. On the side of the walk there where green trees and I remember making my own necklace with my name!

You were hiking in the woods when you stumbled upon an old, abandoned house. You couldn’t resist the curiosity, so you decided to enter the house. You decided to go inside and look around. Everything was old and rusty. It smelled very bad and it was quite dark. The further you walked in the house, the darker it got. Somewhere in the top floor you started to feel a bit anxious. Enough is enough and you decided to leave the house only to find out that you somehow couldn’t find a way out. Your heart rate went faster and faster, the stress started to kick in. Every door led to another endless hall. You kept running and running until you finally stopped because you were out of breath. You looked around and saw an endless hallway of that same old house, yet the hallway felt like an endless loop. Then the realization hit you. *There is no way out. You’re stuck forever. The emptiness will be your friend and your enemy forever. Might as well make peace with it before you go insane.*
Just shows that behind that cheery fun dancing music there was a sad tone and reflects on the story as well 😱 Dam I swear The legend of Zelda Ocarina of time is just an amazing game and so incredibly impactful I’m glad I grew up playing this🥲

You scream do the shock of seeing your friend as a carcass but soon hear a bloodcurdling shriek. you don’t know what it is, but you know it heard you. You quickly hide in the showers and try to stay calm as what made the shriek burst through the door and finds your friend. The thing made it’s was towards it and ate it. “Oh my god it ate him, What the fuck is going on!?” as the thing leaves you later leave the locked room to find other dead bodies around dressed for a formal dance, but that’s the least of your concern. you quickly hear a normal scream thank god, but learn that it’s coming from the woman’s locker room and confront what’s going on. you arm yourself with a bat held by a dead classmate and open the door. You find the thing that ate your friend and it looks like it’s about to kill the girl, quickly you kill the monster but it doesn’t go down without a fight. You lose an eye but save the girl, she thanks you and introduces herself. She’s harmony, you and harmony study the monster to see what looks like a centipede with the front being a giant human head. You check the time, 1:37 AM. You and harmony are going to have a long night…
This song gives me the vibe of this little story Your walking in the forest at night, you already know that something inhuman, non animal, is watching you. You can hear this very music from very far away. You know that whatever is watching you will strike very soon. You got lost a while ago in these woods, perhaps on a hiking trip? Maybe hunting? It doesnt matter what you were doing before, you were foolish enough to ignore the sign "Woods Closed, predator spotted" You step on a branch, and whatever was stalking you lunges out, and it all fades to black, burning, stinging, brutal pain before comfort, rest. It's over, now it has a new target About a day later, your family comes looking for you, they get lost and it gets dark. This song begins playing again.
keep that exact same story but dont have a monster... just the endless fog in a forest where you have no idea where you are. it keeps you in endless paranoia that never ends
It makes me feel like it's the end of the world I'm the last person about to give up while watching the last ever sunset before the earth dies it gives a feeling of peace but eternal loneliness hoping that it will all end soon but again peaceful and calming

All you know is you need to find the music You come upon a clearing. It has 2 tree trunks upright in the middle. On one sits a child, a child that projects fear, anger, and… loneliness? The child seems to have a mask-like face, though it’s head is down, like a child who has done something their mother does not approve of. the creature has more emotion than you’ve ever witnessed before. Your gut tells you to run, hide, get away from this miserable being, but your heart wants to help them. You approach slowly making little noise; you do not want to startle the creature.
