@@AnInkGuy Indeed, and if they did make a wrong'un then they could be forgiven, considering their range and variety. There are Diamine inks I don't like, but not many, and I have most of the standard range plus a lot of invent blue collection, shimmertastics and Cult Pens specials.
I've just inked up a pen with this. I really rather like it. Which is Brit. for Wow. I don't know why because I favour full Royal Blues or blues with a little violet in them. Maybe it is it's clean simplify. Well, this is a record for me. I watched this years ago and added it to my list. I now have it in a pen. So it's time to say Ta! :)
Ordered this ink after my daughter picked a similar blue to paint a new canvas. On the blue, she wants to paint a garden; she said it was a beautiful blue. So there I go looking for a similar blue fountain pen ink. “Let’s see, what ink does Ink Guy have?” and boom, there it is. Of course, the Macho Man reference sealed the deal. I remember watching WWF and Macho Man and Elizabeth. Must have been about 12. Good memories. 👊🏼💥.
Macho Man was the master of alliteration and so good in his interviews. Nice guy to meet also, he really appreciated his fans. He is missed in the world.
@@AnInkGuy Ink arrived a few days ago, and I love it. The tone is great, easy on the eye, but bright enough to see without straining. My compliment color on the page is Noodler’s Kiowa Pecan.
@@squarebackjedi Kiowa Pecan is one of my favorite browns... and brown with blue is such great combination, the dark brown of Kiowa Pecan with the bright blue of Sapphire, Perfect!
@@AnInkGuy Picked up Kiowa Pecan after your review👍🏼. Tone is extremely important. I prepare my lecture notes with pen and paper, have some problems with my eyes, so I need tones that work well with my eyes. Don’t want to get lost or to be straining over my notes when I’m delivering lecture. Thanks for the reviews. Appreciate your passion and seriousness and attention to detail.
An Ink Guy my apologies. I didn’t mean to imply you ranked them, but was just asking for your personal take. I‘m a big fan of Diamine’s blue velvet, and I like the idea of having a pinch of red in the mix, so this looks right up my alley.
@@Orochi_001 No need to apologize, I understand that a lot of people do "top 5" type lists. I don't rent because almost all the ink I get is a sample. As for blues with some red, or maybe some red sheen here are a few: Krishna Christmas Eve Dianine Imperial Blue Diamine Majestic Blue Diamine Skull and Roses Akkerman Shocking Blue Blackstone Sydney Harbor KWZ Iron Gall Blue #5 KWX Iron Gall Blue #6 Levenger Cobalt Blue ... Of these to get more of the red sheen I would suggest going with the Skull and Roses. It looks really cool.
I recently realized how to find comments I haven't answered, I really think if you take the time to comment to me you deserve an answer. Just a thought from when I was a kid.
So I just received a bottle of this ink today, and when I swabbed it, it looks entirely purple, hardly blue at all. I am sending it back. Very disappointing color.

This video was so good I ordered the ink immediately after watching it. Then I re-watched it because it is so entertaining.
I hope it lives up to what you are expecting.
I love your enthusiasm about this one and it's completely deserved. This is a great ink at a great price. Love it.
I don't think diamine could make an ink unaffordable for what they give in performance.

Sappire Blue is general is a very vibrant blue that really does bring the WOW.

Wanted to mention I’m now using Diamine Blaze Orange as the compliment ink, and they go together very nicely as well.
It's fun when an ink takes you to excitement or disappointment. With this ink you don't need coffee LOL.
This is a good one.
Love this one, gonna get myself a bottle to try 👍👍
A lot more purple than blue for me with a 1.1 mm Stub on Apica paper.
interesting, indeed!
This Diamine Sapphire blue looks like when I water-down Diamine Sargasso Sea with 25% water. I like this color better than Sargasso.
I'm not sure. I don't often do ink comparisons. It might be.
I think Sapphire is more purple

Where do you rank this amongst the vivid blues you’ve tried? I’m in the market. Any others you enjoy?
I don't rank the inks. I would say that in general Private Reserve and Noodler's have vivid blues...
