That was an amazing historical take on Lindy's flight. In many aspects the special effects were on a par with the film. I especially loved the sequences coming into Le Bourget - almost got a little emotional when you depicted the wheels contacting the runway🥹. Also loved the 3D tracking line across the map. Really special experience 👍❤️
Thank you! The thing about this model is that there really is only one flight and one version of the airplane that matters. It turned out to be a lot more work than I thought, including waiting for the weather to be right (overcast) for the actual flying scenes, and learning new software for the animated map sequence. I think I gained a new appreciation for Lindberghs' epic accomplishment while making this video. Really appreciate you comment, thanks again!
Thank you. Super, Well Done and Excellent Tribute to Ryan Aircraft co. & Lindbergh. Oh the Aircraft Build , Video and attention to detail is just outstanding.!
Very enjoyable video! Thoughtful, creatively historical, just the right amount of whimsy, well done! And the blood, sweat & tears that went into that build itself paid off handsomely. 👍👍👍
You are very talented building models and creating movies but at the end of the footage you could add only a short clip how the plane actually takes off, flies and lands in real 😁
I thought about doing that but really not much more to see. I'm flying from a tall grass field so I hand launch and just "land" in the tall grass. Thanks for your interest and watching!
Congratulations on the beautiful model construction. The video is also beautiful. I also converted some Guillows models to rc and to make them fly discreetly I had to change the incidence of the wings and dihedral. Have you changed incidence on your Spirit?
I can’t wait to build this!! I just ordered a kit from eBay. I actually had built the model as a kid many years ago but Im building an RC model this time 😃 What battery did you use?
More like inherent instability. I tried to keep the build as scale as I could and with the small tail surfaces and large straight wing this model kind of flops around. Both thumbs on the controls at all times. Thanks for watching!
Just as a footnote. When I was about 12 our family went to the Smithsonian . Bacteria then all of it was in the castle and hung the Spirit of St Louis. It was the first thing I saw and was gobsmacked. Good on ya.@@punkworkschannel

Thanks so much! Had a lot of fun building this kit. Making the video, I learned a few things I didn't know about Lindberghs' historic flight.
Great job, love your work.
Very well done old chap 😁
Good sense of humor.
This was a fun video to make. Thanks for watching!
Lovely plane, and another great film! Really good this. Thanks for posting! ⭐👍
Thanks for watching!

Thank you! Yes, this was a fun and challenging video to make. I appreciate your kind comment!
Awesome build and video. Just what I needed with my morning coffee before heading off to work. You put a smile on my face. Thanks
Good to hear! Thanks for the comment!
Love the map and the close up shots! 😊 well done! The only thing missing is Jimmy Stewart. 😊
Which way to Ireland!
@@punkworkschannel now you've done it. You need to do a Curtiss Robin video for Corrigan. LOL. Keep up the great work
@@darrellsellers1853 Maybe when the weather gives us a little sunshine.
So very exciting. 👏👏👏👏
Thanks!
Nice Model, and I like your film 👍
Thanks! I had fun making this video.
She flies!!!
She does! Thanks for watching!

You are a man of many talents.
But Guillow's? There are so many better choices out there.
Right now, I'm binging on Dumas kits. Highly recommended.
Yes, they are great kits as well. Really comes down to what I find at the hobby shop! Thanks for your interest!
Congratulations on the flight and fun video! What’s next on your building board? Perhaps a P-63 or Macchi 202 would be fun 😉
Those sound like interesting projects! Thanks again FSM!

No, I tried to keep it as scale as possible, It does make it very tricky to fly. Thanks for watching!

The battery is 800mAh 25C 11.1V 3S1P.
@@punkworkschannel thanks!
:)
Thanks
Does any one who flies rubber power airplanes in the Charlotte NC area?
Can't help you with that one, I'm a bit north of that Charlotte NC.
Did it have inherent stability?
sorry, you answered that question.

Flying on 2S ???
I think the battery was 11.1V 3S1P 800mAh 25C. Somehow it had enough charge to make it to Paris!
No doubt, one hell of LIPO. Cant find those at HobbyKing.@@punkworkschannel
The model man, don't need the history. Didn't see model flying?
Thanks for watching!
