Sir ji aap jab bhi kisi geet ke composition ko explain karte hai toh aankhon mein aansu bhar aate hai, yeh soanch ker ki kash aap hume uss waqt mile hote jab hum orchestra mein gaate thea. Humne sikhane wala koi nahi thaa. Pir bhi hum ne har jagah per apani pehchan banayi hai. Film nagri Bombay mein bhi hum ne 2 shows kiye hai, karnataka ke ek chote se town, shahabad se ja ker ke. Wahan bhi hum ne apani aavaz aur kala se logon ka dill jeeta tha aur yeh sab bhagvan ki den hai. Per aaj jab aap kisi geet ko explain kerte hai tho, bhagavan se ek hi dua nikalti hai mann se ki, mujhe agale janm mein bhagvan aap ka shishya banaye. Janha main geeton ki yeh sab barikiya seekh sakoon. Aaj meri Umar 60 yrs hai.

One legend, attached to this song I had came across is as follows : once, just before his classical concert, the legendary classical singer Mallikarjun Mansoor ji was listening to this song and was relishing it to the core, someone asked him "you being such an expert performer of Indian classical music, you are surprising admiring a filmy song like this, so much!!! How is it???" Mansoor sahab replied, praising the creative brilliance of Pancham Da, "can you imagine somebody combining so contrast themes of Miya ki Todi & Khamaj so seamlessly and so beautifully in a song which is so pleasant to listen to??"
This is such priceless appreciation by a classcal music legend for Pancham Da which shows the sheer genius of the later!
