Assuming you figured out already that you can click on the massive stone in your inventory, then hit F and break down the stone to small stones.

You can take your cart thru the cave out the back
Also as you level, your skill in tool making also levels
I don't know if you ever figured it out..... But you can turn those big rocks into small rocks in your crafting menu.

Mechanics in game looks like in Long Dark
you may not know this, but don't throw your stone cutters away when you run the durability out, can use them for the stone spears.
yeah I carried one around for that reason but I might have thrown it away when I wasn't thinking about it
