Pleyel Modèle D grand piano fully rebuilt

Grand Passion Pianos presents an exceptional mid-sized grand piano from Pleyel, Paris. This Modèle D piano was originally completed in 1896. We have comprehensively rebuilt the piano, with regard at all times to the detailed specification created by the house of Pleyel for this model. The works have included a new pinblock, new Renner action and hybrid stringing throughout. This instrument has a colourful, expressive and powerful tone. The bass register is deep and rich with a characteristic emphasis on the note fundamental. The mid range is pellucid and dark, whilst the treble sparkles with a silvery character. The piano measures 6'4". The Modèle D is a rare piano and this is a truly wonderful opportunity to own a world-class instrument in a beautiful cabinet.
The piece being played is an excerpt of the Scherzo from Schumann's piano sonata in G minor, op. 22. The performer is the Italian pianist Simone Tavoni.
