This is the first week I used my community post feature to pose a text poll on what I might be featuring in the top 10, the day before this video launched. Thanks to everyone who participated, it was fun for me to see the percentages on each choice and to date, 62% guessed "all of the above". I won't give the answer in case you haven't watched the video yet. If you have, let me know below if you guessed correctly or not. I will be doing this every Friday, the day before each of my videos launches, so keep an eye out for them and leave your guess - looking forward to them. Thanks again to all who participated in this inaugural poll.
You are right about the peonies. I heard Dave Dowing say that in those first years you could take of the flowers (and use them for yourself) but not any leaves.
I 've used peony leaves in bouquets 💐 they work great. I used dusty Miller as a filler in some small jar arrangements last year. I also like using carrot tops as a filler, either green or in fall when they start to turn burgundy.
I picked up a bunch of hostas that were on clearance at Walmart for $2 each last year. Not sure if they will grow enough to use this year but looking forward to them eventually
I have a very overgrown crabapple tree that desperately needs a trim....while the blossoms are very early but you had me wondering if I could use the leafs as green filler . Thank you for sharing. Oh I am growing cosmos and cinnamon basil as fillers.....and my city plants thousands of decorative grass in every streets......you think they would mind me going on a walk with scissors? Part of me is horrified but part of me think taking a few here and there wouldn't make a difference lol
A few here and there probably wouldn't be noticed by anyone, you are just keeping them pruned after all 😁 I think using the crab apple tree is perfect. It will also help keep your bouquets not looking like a run of the mill market bouquet.

Peony leaves are so beautiful! My carrot tops have never turned burgundy in the fall? They stay green all winter, you must be in a colder climate.
@@EvelynM-vlogs I'm in a colder climate. I'm in Saskatchewan

What an awesome price! At $2 you just can't loose.
