I respect the hell out of Taylor Swift. Her ambition, work ethic and how she treats the people around her is seriously impressive. I hope she finds love with a 6'5" cuddly doofus like Travis, but I hope the NFL doesn't scare her off with this amount of attention.
I mean, the work she puts in is basically a slightly more family friendly version of what the Kardadhians do too. Also super duper impressive how the whole basis of her tour and recent albums is how mistreated she feels by the industry that made her famous and wealthy because they told her to be… likeable. How dare they?
@urusledge Writing songs, playing musical instruments and performing for 3 1/2 hours every night on a billion $ world tour is the same as taking your clothes off on a fake reality TV show? OK then. Would really like to know what these sad little men who belittle women's achievements have accomplished in their own lives.
The attention from the NFL isn't in the same universe as what she experiences on a daily basis. She's the most famous woman on the planet. I'm honestly more concerned with how Travis will adjust to being in the spotlight with her. He's an NFL star but she's a global icon, it's just a different level of fame.
Hahaha, dude, she's one of the BIGGEST stars on the planet. She has 273M followers on Insta alone. I doubt she would be fazed by the attention the NFL can give her.
@@kwoylee5617 all sorts of musicians who have better voices and greater musical ability go on tour all the time. In fact for many of them going on tour is how they slowly grind their way to fame before getting to the mainstream music industry. Taylor’s prominence at this point in her career is almost entirely the product of the corporate music industry’s formula of pushing songs onto the radio over and over until familiarity bias takes over and people start to like the songs no matter how indifferent to them they are to begin with, combined with the typical music industry/celebrity publicity game enhanced even further by modern social media. This isn’t meant necessarily as an attack on Taylor as a person, but more the celebrity music industry as a whole. It just happens to be Taylor’s turn. But as far as Taylor herself is concerned it doesn’t help that 75% of her catalogue is nauseatingly monotonous bubblegum pop and teen breakup songs, which gets old coming from someone in their 30s. But again, it isn’t just “oh I don’t like (insert artist) or their particular style of music I’m gonna pretend she isn’t great.” I don’t care for P!nk’s music either, and care even less for her persona, but I recognize that she’s one of the top vocal talents of a generation.

I like both Taylor Swift and the NFL. She is a very talented songwriter. Like a good poet or novelist. I think her last three albums Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights are her best albums.

I don't get the obsession with her. Average singer at best that writes cheesy songs about ex hookups. She does seem like a real nice girl and all. But whatever, different strokes for different folks.
@@ivantop681 that’s an example of deep writing? Seems like a lot of mixed metaphors and dubious analogies to me. Water isn’t always running, and not all fathers leave. Rivers always run, but flowing rivers are reliable. What even is a tattoo kiss? Is it a tattoo of a kiss? If so, tattoos are permanent, so again, not a great metaphor for a guy who leaves. If the line was about the memory lingering, then it would make sense. And without a reference to fire for the line about smoke to call back to, it’s just a generic line. If the last line is meant to be a tongue-in-cheek way of saying all of these thoughts were the stupid thoughts of a young person who thought they knew it all, but now, after growing and maturing, has learned otherwise, then maybe the context of the rest of the song could redeem this verse a bit, but otherwise, it’s not that great.

I don't get how anyone can run around on a stage for 3 1/2 hours without a bathroom break. The biggest gap in her show is about 2 minutes, and she has to change outfits in that time. I'm guessing she has to avoid spicy foods and dietary fibre for the whole tour!
