Hey guys, listen to him. I followed his advice and landed a job with Vectrus. I brought 3 of my friends here and this gig changed our life. Thank you again for spending time sharing your knowledges!
Hey, I want to try this too. I have a CompTIA Security+ certification through a government civilian job I use to work for. I would like to get an overseas contracting position. Please help with advice.
I'd say this advice is contingent on contract structure. If you're coming back a couple of times out of the year, and you owe some debts on a few things like a car especially, pay that off later or sell it when you get back in a few months since it doesn't always work out this smoothly as planned but in an ideal world this does make sense. Prepare to make your entire life as lean as possible. This is truly a minimalist lifestyle that you're pretty much just traveling and stacking money. We decide to stop, that's when you can start looking for long-term items like new places to live, another car, etc. I'd say though, once you go over there, like he said before You're pretty much just going to want to stay overseas for as long as possible before having to go back to the states to keep your citizenship going and handling anything you need to handle at home. For myself, I'm trying to get a contract in with KBR and redoing my security clearance from scratch hopefully and maybe get out there in a month and a half maybe two at the worst so I can live overseas for about a year come back and do passive income. I didn't see myself doing this at all and this is kind of done so under an emergency since I got out of the military quite some time ago but I remember enough to do any of the jobs that they ask. I might even do a whole nother' year depending on the circumstances, but rather honestly work for myself entirely with no secret clearances or extra yellow tape to fund a lifestyle that I've been trying to get done with the game plan that I have in mind now.

I hope I can help
Hey man im currently working in iraq. I MADE IT lol. Was wondering if while traveling abroad you ever had any legal trouble. I heard outside USA americans dont have rights and some countries like saudi Arabia have weird laws with extreme consequences. Im thinking of selling my house and just doing this overseas thing till retire.
Blending in and adopting local customs and mannerisms is important
I’m back in Saudi now
There are both laws and now covid regulations
But, they are not hard to deal with
For sure do not get involved with criminal actions
No fights
Walk away from anything
