of course, there is some physics involved in such an adventure. the high speed, the bottom of the boat sliding and bouncing off the water surface tension of the canal. a legitimate question for the driver would be if they have cracked the hull of any wooden boats? the seams in the wood would be the weakest part of the structure. opportunities for stress fracture and breaking are definitely possible.

Me, I woulda waited for the Phad Ka Pao til after the ride. If she made it phet phet then I'm surprised your eyes aren't red from the chilis in your face. Back in my time, we used to take the ferries across to Thonburi, and the long boats down the Chao Phrya to a market. Big, big Ford and Chrysler engines, but possibly not as fast as you went in this one. I have a photo somewhere of me in the boat smoking a cigarette and looking like I'm at peace with the world. Nice one.
