My son had lead over 20 when he was 18 months old. They are down under 10 now. It takes a long time to come out of their system he is in speech therapy and is about to start special education pre school. However he can say all of his abcs he knows numbers, shapes, his colors. I believe that with the preschool he will be in line with other children his age. Please pray for us

How is he doing now?
I was his age when I was eating lead paint off a window sill while my baby sitter was taking care of my older sister at the time. My mom and dad came home from a date minutes later and saw me in the window eating the paint. I could only imagine the damage that could have been done. My dad held me upside down Over the sink spraying the sink sprayer down my throat gaging me to puke then rushing me to Mass geneneral hospital. My blood level reading was 77.8 BLVR. They didn't think I'd be able to read to write to be a normal child. I'm so lucky for who I am. But the dread of the damage that was caused I live with forever. Aphantasia is the worst outcome I can't see images in my head. Blind in the mind but not disabled, blessed but damaged.

I am frustrated to think how little there is awareness about such deadly disease. Nowadays parents are sticking to their phones when their childrens are playing with contaminated surrounding. The parent-child interaction has lost due to mobile devices. Until now, I didn't even know about lead poisoning. I am scared when wondering about what will be the future of the neighbour kid. I have seen him licking walls and eating dirt. His parents was always busy in phones and their works. I always had to remind them about their child.

Start buying bottle water if can. Make city pay for it. Protect your family make sure toys walls floors do not have lead paint peeling off.

Frankie B.S I don't even know. I am waiting for the blood tests. Then I'll test the water and paint and possibly the dirt. I going to have to quit my permanent job to get a higher paying job to move them out. I'M VERY WORRIED AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO...😯

Frankie B.S my daughter's blood test came to 11.7 micrograms per deciliter instead of the 29.7 micrograms. It's not in her bones thank God and she is mild anemic so the docs gave her vitamins c with iron. They said she will be ok ☺
