I would honestly like the Calamity, but yeah the price is stupid. I could see $40-50 but the $60-70 I see it going for is a turn off. I’ll just get a Master Grade thanks.
Great review as always! I've been watching your videos since 2012, and I cannot for life me understand how you don't have more subscribers because I think you deserve it.
I really enjoyed building mine. The detail is definitely a great part of the kit but no way would I pay 70 bucks. Luckily I got a preorder in through hlj for 50 when it first went up.
Full Mechanics is the name of the line for the kits released for Alternate Universe machines (like Cosmic Era, Ad Stella, Post Disaster, etc.), whereas Reborn One-Hundred is for Universal Century going forward.
Looks amazing but doesn't surprise me there's no inner frame with the ibo full mechanics that's kinda different there frames show even the hg had a inner frame so I can forgive both that both no grade in general just there just kits with the details of MG and builds like a hg
jabman, I know my comment is a little late but I'll say it anyway, the gundam ibo kits had an inner frame why, that's how the designs of the mobile suits of that series were, that's how they are compared to the mobile suit designs seen in other series of the franchise such as the gm or the zaku from the original mobile suit gundam series, the graze or the shiden show more of the inner frame compared to the gm or the zaku, these just show the basics of the inner frame. is that the kits of that series are asian why, that's how their designs are by nature since even the high grade of ibo also did it for the same reason instead the new kits of the full mechanics line seek to go for more detailed designs in shape exterior and not internal since they do not seek to be a master grade at any time was their intention to be one since for that the master grade line exists, the same happens with the re100 that this line is focused on mobile suits from the universal century era and the full mechanics is for the mobile suits of the alternate eras to the uc era
The FM line is NOT known for the frame, it's just the IBO gundam's have a bunch of expose frame. Even the HG has a somewhat complete frame just for the basic structure. Just the price of this new FM line is questionable....I can buy a real MG for 5000+ yen MSRP. But there's no 1/100 Calamity so I guess there's not much choice....
It's price gouging. It's their way of making profit on obscure or massive suits without having to use much materials that eat into profit. Realistically, this thing should be about $35-40 since it's just a bigger master grade of a relatively simple suit design (it's just a guncannon style mobile suit).
That’s not how much this kit is supposed to be, I got mine when it first came out for $50. I think you just got scammed paying extra on the aftermarket
This is the sort of kit that makes me not keen on 1/100 kits. They have many benefits over 1/144 kits, but when they get floppy, it's a lot harder to work around it. That, plus 70 bucks for this is way too much. Unfortunate.
What bothers me is that we could have gotten a mg of the druggie gundams but that full mechanichs shit is a nice excuse from bandai for not making them
I've thought about getting the FM GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam; especially after FM GAT-X370 Raider Gundam was confirmed. I can only preseume Bandai will complete the trio by making the FM GAT-X252 Forbidden Gundam as well. I'm surprised you paid $70 for this when it retails for ¥5,000.
While I'm not a big 1/100 builder,I like the look and details on this kit. Thats about it lol. I feel like this would've been better if it were done as an hgce revive kit, tbh. I appreciate that bandai is diving into some more obscure kits but this would've been better in a smaller scale I think
Haven't built this kit yet but I'm planning to because I like Calamity's design but from what my friends' experience with this kit, unlike other FM 1/100 kits (especially the IBO ones), it's quite sturdy knowing the fact that the kit does not feature a single polycap parts so I kinda recommend this kit.
I didn't think this kit was really limited in poses. The ankles are surprisingly limited though. Overall I found this kit to be ok but overpriced for what it is. Granted you paying $70 is tough. Bought mine at a local hobby shop near release for like $55-60.
I would honestly like the Calamity, but yeah the price is stupid. I could see $40-50 but the $60-70 I see it going for is a turn off. I’ll just get a Master Grade thanks.
Exactly! I like it but it's kinda like a very solid, higly detailed, big high grade that costs more than some great MGs :/
You can thank the pandemic for that. I want a gp04 but finding 1/100 fm kits is rough

I think at best this thing should be 40 $ and even its stretching it
Full Mechanics is the name of the line for the kits released for Alternate Universe machines (like Cosmic Era, Ad Stella, Post Disaster, etc.), whereas Reborn One-Hundred is for Universal Century going forward.
It does get a thumps up👍 from me this figure is awesome😊
great review as always
Loved mine. Waiting for the aile calamity version. And… Still waiting for your mastergrade of the year 2021 vid :)
I love this design so I have the aile calamity on order and will get a sword calamity when they announce it
So you got your Raider (on your backlog I guess), will you get the FM Forbidden just for commitment?
My question is why not just give us a mg
Its MSRP is 5500 yen, which is less than $50. Its current market prices aren't really Bandai's fault.
But those cannons! Which is why I got it. So I'll dab some matte coat on the joints and put it back for a day. And not as much squinting as hgs.
It's nice but it's price is quite questionable.
Looks amazing but doesn't surprise me there's no inner frame with the ibo full mechanics that's kinda different there frames show even the hg had a inner frame so I can forgive both that both no grade in general just there just kits with the details of MG and builds like a hg
Just saw a rarity from you, sir. I am actually a bit surprised. I was hoping for an inner frame as well.

$70 is too much yeah, I got this at ~$50 from local hobby store Philippines, so the mark up is very much because of your location and or scalpers

You say you’d skip it! But after raider you know forbidden is coming lol
I’m holding out for sword calamity
My Ninja!
$70?! You sir, got robbed.
technically it was 68 dollars........and I got it on sale for just under 60..... but still....
@@jabman025 got mine from amazon for mid 50's I think?
That’s not how much this kit is supposed to be, I got mine when it first came out for $50. I think you just got scammed paying extra on the aftermarket
I bought it via a retail model shop, so the shipping costs were passed on to me.....
@@jabman025 I see, that’s why I try to bulk order my kits so the shipping is less terrible
Where did you buy this for $70? Retail is closer to $61. Still a bit too much, I agree. But $70 would be crazy.
i want this so bad
I would love to get this kit but unfortunately it is way over $100 for me to buy it in Canada
Cool 👍👍

This really should've been $50 USD coz the MSRP is 5500 Yen.
Bro I have question is this kit have cockpits
No, this kit not has the opening cockpit gimmick

Problem with this line and the NG is over time everything will become loose. Even if don't fiddle with them

Hey Jabman!! You need to buy the New Daban 8819 1/100 mg JAGD DOGA before it sells out.
The MSRP on this is like 50 bucks
never seen it that cheap
@@jabman025 that's because shipping and retail and all, let alone the shortage atm
Honestly 50 bucks is too much, the outer detail is nice but its essentially a high grade on steroids. There are better master grades for that price
Got mine for $45
Hey jabman, where is your 2021 kit of the year?
