This by far was the heaviest and most difficult pack out job I have ever done in the woods. I end up taking a very large doe and quartering her to pack out.
Your a beast dude. 3.5 mile hump to truck. Might be worth deboning. I am too old to do this, never did it, but prepped to do so. It would be a mile up steep ground with huge fallen over trees covering a main trail. I am just gonna stick to squirrel hunting the Shawnee.
I love eating those Squirrel one of my fav meats out there. Thanks for watching, it truly was a difficult one. Next time ill debone it out. makes for a much much lighter pack out.
@@paparomesoutdoors711 Thats hard to make a shot like that and not hit a twig. Then finding where you shot as the land changes and everything is different once you get there. Then finding the blood trail and deer. Outstanding BTW.
@@Dutch.1722 thank you, took me a while because it was a way off in scrub oak and no blood trail, the blood stayed inside the cavity. I just went off hoof tracks, luckily, I did not leave her thinking I missed.
@@paparomesoutdoors711 Hopefully you thanked GOD for the Blessing of the meat. Yeah am impressed you found it. Especially in an area full of leaves you could find the tracks. And in an area pepper with tracks also to boot....
I did a sled drag out a few years back it did work well, but I didnt like making all that noise in and out incase other ppl are hunting in the region as well. prob would be a good idea

@@paparomesoutdoors711 Yep. I just started deboning squirrel. Stab meat with a fork. Marinate in lowerys steak and chop. Then grill it.

You ever think about getting a small sled and stashing it half way up..
