Nice review. Thanks. The dealer came to pick up my 2011 1200s Touring last week, which I love, for a service call and have it decated,. The dealer owner turned out to be the pick up driver. He was on a full sales pitch on the 2015, went on about it for 20 minutes, how great it is, what an improvement, yada yada. Does it come in black I said? No. Deal breaker ;) I rode the 2014 GT last summer through the alps. Nice bike, hated the paniers (too heavy). The Skyhook suspension definitely keeps the squatting and diving minimized under hard acceleration and braking compared to the 2011. I did recently add the aftermarket Ohlins SCU to make the suspension "semi-active" and it does make a noticeable difference. So for now I see no significant reason to get the 2015. Now if it came in black.......
I made the mistake of buying the Aprilia Caponord...... Owned it for 4 weeks and just traded her in for this. Expensive mistake, but man this baby is a sweet ride!
Angus Norton I nearly made the same mistake, but test rode the two back-to-back, along with a Stelvio NTX. Always been an Aprilia fan, but the Multistrada was so much better it was a no-brainer. Mine arrives at the end of the month!
I test rode the older version of the new Multi. Felt very different and I went for the Aprila...All good, as I only lost $500 on the deal. New Multi arrives end of the month too!
+Asif Ikram The XR vibrates like hell, and an I4 just doesn't have the character of a twin. I'm sure the XR is fast and everything but damn, who needs the last 20 HP in an adventure bike?
character, very personal, a term that can be bend towards or against anybody. And almost used on all mechanical things Italian, as if it has to cover for the faults.. Ow its faulty but...it has tons of 'character' Ow and 'passion' and of course 'soul' :)
***** You're right. A "full 160 hp" has a very distinct sound that is not apparent in the video. "four" and "full" are very different sounds. And "one" has its own flavor. Not heard. Here "460." Run it through a voice analyzer.
How come you compared it to the GS and not its real direct competitor the XR? I've not ridden the multi but have the XR and that too was a great bike ... Good vid
He said the TC "Saved him" which is total bullshit and proof Ducati feeds the words to the journalists. This guys is an amazing rider and TC didn't save anything. He saved himself if there even was an incident.
bugseysdog We had to hold it for now, Chris has headed off to Wales to work for an off road school. it's the first thing we'll be doing when he's back for a few days...
I think it's good that electronics make bike riding safer but, I think this is too much nowadays.. you should be able to ride without it in my opinion.
Nice bike for whats around i guess, bit steep money wise and chain drive, seriously for top of the like dollars would expect shaft drive and 19 inch front wheel.
Great review really informative I've been looking for a good touring bike and I'm in the process of buying a multistrada 1200s dvt 2015 second hand
We’ve recently bought a Multistrada 1200 Enduro, love it!
I see one for sale for 8k but unsure if it’s a good first bike
one of better reviews for the international press launch

Nice review. Thanks.

What a great bike. I may go and see about getting one so have something different to ride once in a while. Good review!
A really good"write up" no bull shit, just an honest appraisal. Thankyou.
Finally, first decent review of the new mutley.
Could do more on the dash and new multimedia usage.
damn from 160 hp to 460hp, that is a good upgrade.
Full 160 not 460😂
how do you like this bike vs the S1000XR? I rode that today and was impressed

Erikootje I rode that character, passion, and soul 3000 miles in a week across the Western US. So yeah, character. There were no faults.
aluisious nice to hear that character and all that blabla can be combined with what really matters in the end of the day: reliability.
460 hp hmmm dont think so ha ha @ 3:08 ..back to school for you...
***** Not sure where that came from!
Full 160 hp is what he said.
***** Sorry Logan, you've misheard. He said Full 160hp and not 460hp.
Listen very carefully, full 160!

i hoped Suzy would be the one reviewing this bike
Nice bike, I'd like to own one.
👍👍👍
460 hp? did i heard right? for real?

Cause it is a direct comp to the gs
Did he say 460hp at 3:08? lol
I wonder how it stacks up against the S1000XR now that's out.

Bet service costs are way more than the ktm and BMW
Excellent review, and well presented. Now, where's Shit Bike Challenge pt 3? Well?!

i think he said "full 160 hp"

KTM a bit more aggressive :)
Darrell N If it 'aint orange it must be a lemon!
+Darrell N If you want to go on a 3k+ miles ride, raw aggression might not be the greatest thing.
