"whats on my screen?" was basically the "circle to search" feature....before it got killed off and people forgot about it over the 1+ years since. "circle to search" isn't new. It's a revived feature that Google killed early, renamed because Google is hoping people forgot about it sk they can brag about a "new" feature.

Day one of asking for a pixel 8 pro
Google's got a different vibe these days. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm not sure I like it - even though they're doing all this AI stuff it kind of feels like Google's turning into a legacy company.
They need a new CEO.
I know what you mean.. I tried to watch the keynote. It is lacklustre, disjointed and frankly boring and cringe worthy. Google are pretty much indistinguishable from Microsoft. Their only hope is Deepmind but even that seems tarnished by Google's touch.
@@spiritusinfinitus agree on everything except the MSFT comparison. Nadella has reinvented and reinvigorated that company to a jaw-dropping extent.
@@spiritusinfinitus I found myself confused during the keynote. In some ways it felt like an old Microsoft event (not modern day MS). Then I realized the large colored stripes behind the speakers look almost just like the old original Apple logo and it threw me for a loop.

Google's more interested in hype than actually shipping cool/innovative tech on time these days. I really hate when companies announce stuff that isn't ready yet as though it is.
