@@labrucine I dont have any formal education in computer science but my guess is that the search engine works like dis: First off, they extract text from each web page-key words and meta data. Then they train a Biderectional Encoder Representational Transformer (BERT) so that it can encode the meta data/text on webpages as a single vector in space. Then they put the vectors in a unit sphere (a vector database). To make search faster, they reduce the dimensions of these vectors from 768 down to about 32. using quantization. Now...when the user puts the search query in, the query gets encoded by BERT as a 32 dimensional vector. It then traverses through small worlds, heirachically nested, until it reaches the bottom and casts a net over the closest 100,000 vectors or so. Then it starts doing filter's with keywords, using boosting, using advertisor boosts/scoring, and it filters down to say 100. Then it re-ranks the vectors using the larger 768 dimensional vectors and more additional boosting methods (like hits, relevance, keywords, levenstein distance and jaccard similarity calculations, with structured data filtering, page views, advertisor boosting, human feedback, ect.....)...and it re-ranks to get the top 20 results.

So interesting....explaining the whole process in a 5 minute video!!!!! I can't imagine life without Google, and even though I'm a year older than Google, I've been using it as long as I can remember!!!

I've probably watched many times, and I love it! I can't understand it but I love it!
*I LOVE YOUR EXPLANATION AND VIDEO EDITING STYLE* ❣️
This is the most helpful video on anything in recent times. 😎
3:15 ...and your personal data they are collecting every single moment...
I know it all
I’m curious how you decide what dissenting information gets censored on your search engine or not.
Google: complex algorithm
UA-cam: just reverse the results

A friendly approach to get people to help improve your product for (probably) free. Pretty smart
Helpful, short and concise 👍

Thank you that was very helpful I've always trust google but some how things got much more complicated but I understand now they upgrade all the time keep up with the good Google
Algorithms are the best way to get the closest% to the precise number we are looking for.
Google: lasagna
Me as an intellectual: bish lasagna

you forgot to mention the part where you harvest our data
ok
Try turning off your customized advertisements and it will stop in a way that you can see.
If that isn't your concern, I imagine you don't like them using your data for some weird 'government stuff' keep in mind you're using their search engine. Don't like it? Build your own search engine, buy a private VPN and go off the grid (kinda). If that wasn't help enough they don't always get a choice technically. The NSA under the patriot act for example.. final words: 3jrofos05ngoapntoa thgv
@@astralascendance well no i just don't really want them having so much data about me
@@pizzaboxer Stop using it.
I think even these 23 likes are people who are overrated.
How Google search actually works:
*search something once*
Google: hey buddy how about I show you these three year old articles on that thing you searched one time in your news feed every single day
For that reason, I use incognito for about ~80% of my searches. Seriously. I only publicly search on my account for things I don't mind being bombarded by, lol.
the part where it says you in how much time they did it its a completly flex
Ok
Wonderful
