The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1978 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. A Red Line 6 DL-4 was used for additional loops. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray or a Greer Amps - Ghetto Stomp and the Greer Amps Lightspeed was used as a booster.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

Each player's touch on the fretboard is different, so we might not all be able to squeeze out every one of these myriad tones with the same degree of finesse, but the brilliant Tobias at least shows us what's possible with these special silver-foil pickups. I love his use of the whammy on those beautiful closed chords!

If Carlsberg did guitar demo videos these would be they. Best in the world, getting almost bored of how good these are. But not quite! Anyway, how much is it? Don't care, double it and add shipping - I want one! 🙌👏👏👏
Excellent, tasty playing as always but those pickups... so sweet and articulate. I've heard foil pickups called a "fad". Pure hate. They do something unique. I love them.
