It was Cameron, not Kate or Leo, who was obsessed with the idea of making this movie, who made this movie, everything you see in the movie is the result of his obsessive genius. So yes, the people who really made this film are Cameron and to a far lesser extent the producers who made it possible:)
I agree on "Rose's mum", I would even say that I think she looks younger now than in the movie?? Could be makeup and the look or something else, but I think she did look younger in this video :)
What Jim said at the end is very true. HAHA People on this era might say it's corny or another movie probably came out best other than titanic. But it's still one of the most epic movie of all time for me.
I watched the '97 film at the cinema when I was 12 and watched this 3D version I think when I was 27. I will never get tired of watching Titanic, I will go ahead and watch the A Night to Remember now too :)

You never realised that Rose meant to never let go the promise on the freezing night - The promise she made to Jack that she would fight to survive for her life and die warm and old in her bed. She didn't let go of the promise, she let go of Jack for surviving! As of me, the love story of Jack and Rose is the best of all times I'd ever have seen.

I just saw the 25th Anniversary 3D 4DX in Syracuse and I Absolutely Loved it. it's a perfect movie . . . within the 98-100% 110% range. and I am GRATEFUL for Cameron's culturally sensitive and edifying Avatar Movies. ❤
weird thing happened the first time watching this back in '97 with an ex gf. when the ship's ass was about to go into the abyss, that climatic scene when jack & rose were hugging tightly before hitting the cold water. that very moment, without even realizing it, we too were hugging the exact same way between the seats as if we were the ones sinking. then we looked at each other awkwardly & laughed.
I went and saw this with one of my friends when it came out in 3D, and I almost jumped out of my seat when the ship sank. I almost felt like I was going down with it.

The 14 year old was obsessed with Robert Ballad (the man who discovered the location of the ship's remains) and the tragedy itself and spent most of his allowance on memorabilia and books on the subject. The ten year old was fascinated by the opulence and the sheer size of the ship. To this day the older child is still fascinated by the Cameron trips down to the wreck, although his obsession now is his own family. The younger has moved on with her life as well.
The movie allowed me to discover the ship and all of the histories related to her, I'm really fascinated with all of that ! Havent taken a date to the movie either x)

Old movies were just beginning to be shown on TV then. I have also seen the Catherine Zeta Jones version released around the same time as Cameron's. However, we saw Cameron's "Titanic" TWICE that day when it was a new release. The first time, I was awed by the sheer magnitude of the ship and, especially, its engines. The second, I was able to focus more on the story line.

I wish they could have included the character of Edith Rosenbaum, the designer/fashion merchandiser who left all of her jewelry in her cabin but she wouldn't get into the lifeboat without her lucky toy pig. She could have shared a few words of wisdom with Rose about forging one's own path in life.
