Your guides are the most solid for all of HW. Thank you for bringing quality content with some funny comments weaved in. They've helped so much (especially in a8s)
Great guides Xenos, like many others wrote here, these are the most complete ones I've seen for As. The amount of info is really accurate and explained in details. Thanks for the help last night for this fight (Lothar Pendragon) I really apreciate it, keep up the amazing work you do and hope to see your future job on Storm Blood.
I need to honestly say it, this guide scared the every loving hell out of me when I first watched it. So much to remember, so much to keep track of, especially as a healer, all that damage... all those 1hps... ._.;; its a nightmare.. But having experienced up to the start of Phase 2 (orbs) I can say, my imagination was certainly running wild. Its no where near as bad as I imagined it would be, still rough though... my GOD is it a difficulty spike from a10s, but it at least feels doable. After watching this vid again, and having some experience in the fight now, the rest of it doesn't seem too bad either! So I certainly appreciate this guide, and I'm looking forward to Monday when my group can try again ^.^
learning this right now with my static, and its helped me understand the mechs more as u provide detailed explanations of each of em. :3 ast healer btw.
Great guide mate, sorry i have to comment on this but i think you have a misconception about the term "LoS".. getting behind the enemy isn't LoS'ing, because you and the object are still in a line (of sights) between each other.. Hiding behind a meteor for scrap burst for example, or hiding behind an ice block on A6, is the example of LoS-ing, in short, the line between you and the object have to be obstructed by another object to be called "LoS-ing" Thanks for your guides Xeno!
Haha yea man, people give me shit for it all the time. My mind thinks of it as LoS from the front. which puts the back in between. I should really learn how to word better XD
Yeah, that's a good way of looking at it. The difference is that it's more like a line AoE, where Ravana's is like a cone. It also extends pretty far so be careful with not hitting pillars.
Thank you for the guide Xenosys, been watching yours lately, they got me through some stuff very easily. This one is gonna take me some time to digest though... The jump from A9/10S to this seems kinda steep.
Yo Xeno, thx for the good guide :) first I was scared a little bit but after I watched your guide I killed it easily after the 3rd try. And could you please tell me/us the soundtracks in be background? :)
Not usually one to ask this but I've been curious since I watched this guide back when my static and I were trying to clear this. The song that plays at 13:38, anyone know it? I actually can't get the damn thing out of my head.
Well, the one thing my group is stuck on is the "Far" optical sight during the pillar phase. We have it set up with: tanks go north, one ranged and one healer go each of the other ways, and us melee have to adjust with where we go. The problem is, that I at least simply don't have the time to get out of the big middle AoE after the markers spawn. Is there a way to tell ahead of time who is going to be targeted by the yellow circles, or do we just have to work around it? I have a plan of sorts if it's the latter, but my group won't necessarily like it, since it messes with their pre-assigned positions.
nah, handle that one in tower phase just like in first phase. go to your clock pos. Ex. Mt 12, melee 1 and 11, ot middle(can take hit np) or 3 and then rng 9 and 5, healers 7 and 6. just run behind the towers. its ok if you clip them a little bit
So if the dps is normal, say didn't skip lapis but consistently skips shield in the second phase then you'll only ever need the tower to shield that one propeller wind right?
lapis skip os tricky because even low dps can skip it. lapis is about precise damage not neccessarily high damage. but in the final phase you want enough hp on the towers to survive the whirlwinds. Hitting two with aoe circles isnt too devastating as long as one tower is left undamaged. Most groups try to save the south but not hitting the towers isnt too hard.

Thx man, appreciated! :)
Your guide is really helpful. I appreciate you pausing so we can see how mechanics play out before moving on to the next explanation. Thank you o/

My group starts a11s prog tonight and your guide was a huge help to us to understand the mechanics. Thanks a ton, Xeno!
I don't usually comment on videos, but this guide is so good I have to. Thank you Xeno, for the great work you put in for the community.
I'm so happy you're a tank with these guides. Thank you for all your videos, really helped with my transition from dps to tanking
You got the most helpful guides out there, man. Keep it up

Amazing guide as always, thanks for all the effort you put into these. ^^
I like how you reshow party positions here. Very helpful.
Great Guide! we will surely follow this later on our raid, currently on lapiz phase
Best part of this guide as with all of Xeno's guides is the background music. I want these tunes when I raid :(

Very informative . hope we can get the clear this week.
So the EDDs cleave is kinda like Ravanas 3 hit cleave? Eat 1st hit and dodge the other 2?
Yeah, that's a good way of looking at it. The difference is that it's more like a line AoE, where Ravana's is like a cone. It also extends pretty far so be careful with not hitting pillars.
Good to know, it'll help with my groups progression, thx.

One of my favourite fights in the game so far. The music is great too but...it definitely gets old when you hear it for hours during prog :|
@xenosysvex looking for the song starting @ 5:30 ...tried every which way to find it, but unable to locate, just curious if you can help a friend out

Song at the beginning...what is it?
