I mean they gotta polish this off so we don’t end up having another fucking cyberpunk 2077 or battlefield 2042 or GTA five when it was literally buggy as hell. Not one time I popped into a lobby like I think it was the first or second week GTA online being on and I ended up getting teleported out of nowhere. Sandy Shores and I was already in the city over in Grove Street I don’t know how that happened but my friend made it clear. It had to been a modder in the fucking lobby.

Its very simple… GTA is in the final development stages and no longer needs alot of employees hands on. They made the decision to pull employees back to the office and those who refused were first to get laid off.

The ampunt of people either just ignorant or stupid on how businesses are run in this comment section is extremely worrying. R* has NO reason to cancel GTA6, they WILL make back probably triple what they spent making this game within the first 2 weeks, employees were laid of for multiple reasons most likely, such as not appearing to work physically after R* pulling devs into studios and the games nearly done, they don't need a massive team (atleast in comparison to production team) size to smooth ut out and fix/patch shit that fucks up. Nearly every AAA company fires employees before a title releases, it's extremely common within the gaming industry
