I actually almost skipped out on this figure, because I didn't really like how it looked in certain pics I've seen. Plus I wasn't a fan of the face sculpt, vs the ghastly cool original one with the rounded eyes. But I ended up buying him and it took a few days before I began to really appreciate him. In all honesty, the digitally modeled details are actually quite good. But the lack of paint job treatment that we were so spoiled with during McFarlane Toys prime years, left something to be desired. But I like it and it does sit well with some of the older toys (that I still feel look amazing today). I intend to buy a second Raven and give it a real nice detailed paint job, reminiscent to the original Raven figure. Should look amazing then. Love your channel's name. I too was a little mixed on the lack of paint details from the older stuff. But we are getting a bigger figure and all new articulation they never had before. The sculpts and details are still really awesome! You can't beat the price today for what other figures are going for, that's if you can find one in retail of coarse! So there is gonna be some sacrifices to save costs today. The weapons are really cool too. But some are in a really gummy mold and just warp to easy. But RAVEN spawns accessories are really well done. The lack of paint on this figure too is also accurate to some RAVEN SPAWN images in comics. As you seen in my comparisons there are a few versions out. So maybe there will be a second repaint versions of the raven spawn with the super detailed paint apps! I appreciate your feedback and sharing your interests on this figure👍
100% agree. This is the only new spawn I'm getting since I loved the og one.. I guess he's trying to keep the price down so they won't look as good though? But honestly I'd rather pay $40 for a fig that had the same details as it did back in the day. Idc about the articulation, I'm not playing with them anymore lol
The original raven spawn was my fav fig back in the day.( He was like all black.)Just picked up the new one and that redish one u showed(that's the reborn series) but man these new figs are kind of disappointing IMO. It's cool spawn is back but they just don't compare to the OGs. Thanks for the review. You guys got me going on ebay looking for the figs I missed out as a kid haha
Great pick up! And thanks for watching. Yes I have all the reborn series. They are really cool, great detail and paint, but little articulation. The new are figures seem to be lacking in some paint and detailed deco, depending on the figure. Mcfarlane is remaking a second series which is some repaints of the first series. I know what you mean with ebay, 90 percent of my Mcfarlane figures came from eBay. Lol
Great looking figure, interesting character. I have a couple old Spawn comics because they were huge when they came out. The art was considered revolutionary. But I pretty much stopped buying comics at that time, so I am unfamiliar with the stories and characters of Spawn. They just look awesome!
Thats what I said in a couple of my videos with some of these spawn characters as well. I collect them for the art and they are just cool. I only have 20 or so first cómics. I don't know enough or all the back stories to all these characters either. When I started action figure collecting in 1999, Spawn was the first figure line I got into as well as 12 inch ultimate soldier and dragón models military figures. I didn't have anymore of my vintage masters of the universe figures anymore and motu brand was dead. I can't believe its so alive now not to mention whats been pumped out with the classics for over tens years. And now the origins and revalations. But mcfarlane toys was a Huge part of my collecting and life. That line to crashed in 2008 and went away. So its cool mcfarlane is getting back into spawn figures. And the detail, price and size is great!. The scale also goes with the motu classics and revalations. But yea that Raven spawn is really creepy.
@@BinonaLaider This 2021 Raven Spawn figure is around 7 inches tall or 18cm. The older Spawn Angela figures were 6 inches. I also have a few of those figures. Yes this came from Wave 1 or I also heard the term 2021 Spawn collection figures. Thanks for checking out this review!👍

18cm figure? Is it big like hellboy ,or smaller? I have angela spawn and its too tiny 6 inch😂 btw,this is wave 1 raven?
